- Land Rover old and new smart key usage.
Both use the same method for each button.
The only difference is the built-in emergency key blade and the removal method for battery replacement.
Function of lock button
- Lock and double lock on the doors
- Close all windows and sunroof
- 2-stage unlock setting
- Rear height adjustment
Function of unlock button
- Unlock the doors
- All windows and sunroof open
- 2-stage unlock setting
- Rear height adjustment
Tailgate button function
- Tailgate open and closed, and stop
- Rear height adjustment
Function of headlight button
- Turn on and off headlights for approach lighting
- Rear height adjustment
Function of panic alarm button
- Horn and emergency light on and off

Can you REMOTE START ignition with key fob while you are approaching you vehicle from the outside?
If you look at the explanation in the manual, it appears that keyless engine start is possible using the activity key.
However, I understand that it can be done from inside the vehicle, not from the outside.

That automated voice is horrid, but the information was on point with what i needed to know.
You missed the function to turn off the keyless entry !
I have a question. Why does Land Rover have a meep lock horn? My aunt’s Land Rover discovery sport has this.
When double-locked, the beep sounds once briefly.
Double lock is when you press the smart key or the lock button on the door handle twice within 3 seconds.
If you don't want the beep sound, you can disable the double lock-related setting in the instrument panel menu.

There's a land rover app for remote start and other really cool features 👌
@@garttaylor5518 unfortunately you need a data plan with AT&T wireless to use the Iconnect Remote feature. Bummer since we are with Verizon
The app don't turn real heat on, don't turn the heated seats on, and works only sometime. I like the truck, but they are slacking in the remote start area... big time!

Can u tell me how to turn on sound when lock and unlocked?
There is no setting to make a beep sound when locking and unlocking.
However, there is a setting that makes a warning sound when double-locking.
It is located in the security-related settings of the vehicle settings in the instrument cluster menu of the InControl system.
(Pivi Pro system is the vehicle setting in the infotainment screen settings)

Can you lock the car with the motor running?
1. Open the driver's window all the way.
2. Close the door after exiting the vehicle.
3. Press the lock button inside the vehicle through an open window.
4. Pull the driver's window switch all the way out and quickly remove your arm from the vehicle.

Can you adjust the height with the old key? From 2014-2017?
I don't know about vehicles before 2017 because I haven't tried it myself.
The way it works seems to be the same.
It is recommended to do it yourself, since the height can be adjusted with the smart key only when the emergency light is on.

Fix the app. All this for an app to remote start it and it rarely works... even paying for it don't make it work correctly. When it does start, the app says an error occurred try again later. Finally, the app only warms the engine. It's -10°F, I don't want to get in a cold truck with cold leather seats. You must sit in it and apply the brake for the "real" heat to blow??? I thought I loved my truck... my buick enclave had better heat, after market remote start, and I had no frozen feet!
How can a luxury car like this not equipped with engine remote start...damn

shut up, the person obviously doesn't speak english and is using this voice so english speakers can still have access to their videos. you can watch this video and listen to the voice or go figure it out by yourself.

Yeah you’re talking about brand new Land Rover than range rovers talk about a 2012 and the older Land Rovers how come I always gotta open up the gate at the same time I click the unlock button on the key fob that’s the only way I can unlock the back gate why does anybody fucking know
