I made this tonight and oh my goodnesssssss
It was amazing. I served it over a Mediterranean veg salad (peppers, cucumber, r. Onion, tomato, kalamata and feta) and a garlic aioli made with Greek yogurt (I don't eat mayo)
I'm so glad there's leftovers it was drool 🤤 worthy.

My mouth is actually watering 😂 I grew up in MI and everytime I visit my family I eat so much Lebanese food! I live in MD now and the restaurant food here is dreadful, there are no good middle Eastern, African or Asian restaurants. I really miss the food quality diversity in MI. Here it's s just basic fried southern everything😒...which i find bland and greasy.
Thankfully I can cook and I've been slowly perfecting foods i cant get in restaurants. Bless you for these recipes.🇱🇧❤😊

Yummy and easy to make for a week night dinner! I used a cast iron grill pan for nice grill marks on the chicken.

This looks super delicious .for myself I would serve with home made humous,corriander sweet onion and tomato salad and olives .I have long metal skewers and will attempt to cook the chicken on the skewers after marinating them overnight and put them under my gas grill

Want to tell you this is the best chicken shawarma EVER, the 5 min in the cast Iron skillet makes really the difference. I did use only. Chicken breast and it was 10/10 😻

I'm definitely trying this but I also have a request. While in Dubai I used to eat in a Lebanese restaurant and almost everytime it was that whole grilled chicken on roasteries. I made this for my in laws last night! It was a hit!!! I let it marinade for 24 hrs!!
I served it with lemon rice, roasted veggies and cast iron potatoes. Oh and hummus ;)
We grilled the chicken and it came out great!

Those thin pitas are impossible to find unless you buy in bulk where I live
I made something similar once using a yogurt and lemon based marinade and left it overnight, I feel like it made the chicken too gritty and broken down almost? It had a strange texture.
So you don’t actually brown the chicken in the cast iron?
What quantity of the spices are used? Are they 1tsp equally except for salt and cinnamon?
