I just wanted to say thank you! Your suggestion of those jigsaw blades helped me get mine out.
I didn't have time to order tools for what would have likely been a one time use (or so I hope)!
Now I'll get it sent out for service locally hear in Canada 🇨🇦.

Just want to thank you for the Instrument Cluster video. I took your suggestion to don't give up on removing the cluster which eventually worked out. I sent the cluster to Ezelectronics who repaired it perfectly. I even spoke to Santiago who was very knowledgeable at Ezelectronics. Again, I appreciate it! Thank you

Hi! I just purchased those same jigsaw blades from ace hardware since I don’t have the tool gonna pick them up on my lunch break. I hope I have the same easy success as you did when you pulled it out. Gonna ship my cluster out as well for repair/service as well thanks for the video 🙂

@@masood-tv I was able to get the cluster out with the same jigsaw blades you have. I shipped her away for service after my work shift at the ups store can’t wait to get it back thanks again! 🙂
Wonderful. When you get it back, make sure the speed and fuel handles are reset properly.

@@bronevaya I was stressing to check that...the repair vendor does it. If it is not done properly, they should pay for shipment and redo it.
A bad cluster will absolutely wreak havoc on these cars. I had the weirdest stuff happening and I would have bet money a SAM was screwed! Suspension red lights would blink, turn signals would work, rearview mirror would go dark in the day. You name it, the car becomes possessed when the cluster acts up. I used the guy in Denver to fix mine. Problems went away.

How did you set the milage as the W220 cluster is set to the car and I have the same issue, but my milage says ------ no numbers
If you sent out to repair as I did, it should come back with your actual miles...

I have a 2006 s420 and my speedometer drops after driving for a minute and the abs sign and check engine light comes on . Code P0500 says bad speed sensor so i changed it still the same problem and same code .any idea what it might be
Hi, it is hard to tell... It may be that your speedometer is going bad or a connection is faulty.
The speed sensors (4) r on each tire. They're for the ABS brakes
Does the mileage of the instrument cluster matter or does it automatically scan the original miles and input them onto the new cluster?
Hi Kevin,
The repair service I refer to in the video does not send you a replacement cluster. You will get your original cluster back with your original number of miles intact.
Sorry what im asking is if the miles will change if I got a replacement cluster from the junk yard?

Hi Masood, great video. Very informative and professional. I tried the jigsaw on my W220 to no avail. I ordered the tool recommended. The left side of the dash seems fine to remove but the right will not budge. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
Hi Andrew, all I can suggest is to watch the video starting at 2:18 mins to see the mechanism at work...also, don't give up, it should work if you have the keys and inserting them in correct orientation.
The tab on each side that is blocking the console from removal has to be simply pulled in to clear the way...the spring action you see in the video pushes the tabs outwards locking it in place inside the dash frame.

Yes, the mileage will remain the same.
After removing the instrument cluster will car run without it and all signals still work?
Hi sandtrapdummy - it should. I have never tried it. The cluster does not feed anything significant back to the car. So, if you have to remove it in order to have it repaired, test and see. Keep in mind you won't be alerted of any issues or see the speedometer while driving...

So send the cluster out and it should still have the original miles on it

@@masood-tv Which one do you recommend I buy one OEM unlocked why I bought Two and nothing one It doesn't work for me why it was Q3 it wasn't the same numbering ok I understood that but I bought another one with the same numbering but it was Mercedes Benz so I had to take it to Mercedes for that they reschedule it and they told me that if I took the one that I had bought, they would tell me that they sold me theirs because they don't deal with Anti-theft parts THAT'S WHY I want you to help me if you buy an OEM or a Mercedes

This is NOT a repair its a replacement
Ultimately, it is a repair of a non-working cluster. Albeit I did not do the repair. I remove the cluster, show where I send it for repair, and then I replace it. It is cheaper than if I repair it myself. I just want to show my viewers of this alternative. Thx.

Hi Draco Yay, do you mean you had a non functioning cluster which you had sent for repair and once back it still doesn't work? If yes, there are two possibilities. It wasn't repaired which is doubtful, or that your problem was not the cluster.
I bought a new out of another Mercedes i checked it before I bought it. It worked I plugged it up into my car and it still didn’t come on

@@dracoyay6577 Do you have access to a dealership just to determine what the issue is? You can also check the plug for signal, ground, and power values if you have a meter...

You should change the title to “how to remove the cluster and send it to someone else to do the actual repair”
