Thank you for posting this. I couldn't figure out how to remove the cable from the hub until after I watched your video. Other than pulling the pin which I did, the rest was a mystery until I saw this. Thanks!
@@ussweeneyd not really, when you buy a steering system you can by it depending on which side of the boat you want the cable to lay, my guess is this is a system that should lay down the left side of the boat .hence the switch at the helm to correct it
Well i wanted to see were i went wrong i changed my helm 10mths ago and havent had it in the water anyway i gave the boat to the son inlaw for the kids as i'm getting on in years so he takes it away calls me 30 min later comlaining and yes you can call me cpt pugwash to i done the same as you OOP's

this is so funny ,all you had to do was switch the direction of the cable at the engine end you mounted it backwards
Actually, what you suggest will not, be possible. There’s only one cable to the motor bracket.
