THIS is the side of Vegas that I would love to see more of. The support staff and everything that goes into making the casino experience possible. Great Job!!
Good stuff, Jacob. Would like to see you have similar vids with directors of casino floors. Specifically, table games, table minimums, how comps work, etc. Keep up the good work!
🎰Very interesting! Definitely a topic many folks are interested in. Answers the questions people have. Love how you displayed the q and a. Great idea, great job!
I have watched a lot of different channels and genres on UA-cam, and most get very boring after a quick binge regardless if it is hunting, fishing, sailing, off grid homesteading, van life, farming or whatever, this guy is top level UA-cam quality entertainer and I"m not even a gambler! Talented guy for sure.
Very interesting video. I learned a few things so thank you Jacob for ways finding a way to make your videos diverse AND I informative which a lot of content creators just don't do.
What a great concept video. I believe no one ever thought to do a video like this. Thanks Jacob for always keeping us on our toes. The question layout was genius. Keep up with the elevation. 🤙🏾🤙🏾😃🤗
Thank you Jacob. Getting to the behind the scenes factors that make up our casino experience. You really do go above and beyond to educate and entertain us. I've got a guy in AC, but like I mentioned before, you are my guy in Vegas. Keep up the good work! 👍
This is what I like. Good quality content on the actual facts about how this stuff works. That’s honesty the most interesting part of gambling for me, knowing how a game actually works when I’m playing.
OMG love this video and the 1440p looks amazing! Thanks for uploading! Great to see the behind the scenes look at the industry that supports the gaming floor! More of this type of content please!
Very good and informative video. Something new and different! So much better than the many U-Tubers doing reviews of Vegas buffets. "Look at the spareribs Margaret." How boring!
New sub here and I’ve watched some of ur videos with every single one of them being of great content… Wife and I visit fr Oklahoma every year and always trying to keep up with what vegas will bring us next! Your videos have been very informative, thanks
wow that was a very cool video. I also would love to see more behind the scenes stuff . I have a question how much does one of those Machines cost ? Thanks Jacob keep up the great work love your video's
Very interesting and educational video. Answered a lot of my questions about slot machines. They quite obviously are the money maker for the casinos. That is why there are so many of them. Well done.
Jacob thanks! That was super interesting, Mike was rocking some Jerry Seinfeld “every time I walk by someone is winning” lol Since I’m from Hawaii, I love Vegas. We’ve been going for 30 years and have experienced Four Queens (Hugo’s Cellar was awesome) and Lady Luck back in the 90’s. Still visit downtown but Bellagio is our favorite! MGM, Excalibur (2017 stay-room and spa/workout center renovation was great) and Mirage (went to ZFAR white tiger show in ‘95 that was some crazy _____ ) have been great! Love the history of Vegas that you show too! You know what would be really cool is some retrospectives of “Diamonds are Forever” Circus Circus vs. Adventure Zone or ZFAR white tiger show days vs. CDS of today. Anyways love Vegas love your channel keep up the great work!!!
Jacob, this is the BEST slots expose video I've seen so far! I'm all for full transparency when it comes to gambling stuff! 😀 I also liked how you showed that Nevada regulations set 75% as the *minimum* payback percentage required, by law. It should make those who complain about "tight" machines realize that the casino could screw them even harder if they wanted to! 🤣
Quality content, Jacob, learned a lot. Knowing that each casino has control within the 75 + range, how easy can they do that? Is there remote control for all machines (individually/collectively) or must each machine be opened and physically changed?
Very informative, answers so many of the questions I've had about slots through the years. Great Job!! Now have them make a Jacobs Life Slot!!! I'd play it in a heartbeat!😁
Great video! Nice change of pace to get a behind the scenes look at the technology used by Vegas casinos and dispelling some of the myths associated with slots. Do they develop some of the new table game electronic options we’re starting to see show up on casino floors? 😉👍🌴
Great informative video. Have you ever done one on the dealer schools in Vegas? I’m assuming there is at least one. Would be cool to get an inside look of what it takes to be a dealer.
Nevada regulates the Random Number Generator BUT the values assigned to the ODDs table is where the 85% or so payout comes in. Most people do not understand when they say since it is random you have a chance of hitting the jackpot anytime. You always have that chance but its reduced greatly. If you had a Ran gen that did only 100 numbers you could assign the jack pot to #50 and 1-49 to lemons and 51-100 cherries, etc. So a lemon is 49 in 100 chance, etc. Scale that up to millions of combinations and you can see where the odds sit. I love slots and its nice to understand how they work.
Thank you for the great video. My method of playing the slots is to play three times, if nothing I move to another machine. I will do this until I find a machine which is having some pay out. I always bring $3grand with me. $1grand for gambling, $1grand for food and shows, and $1grand for shopping. Shopping is my downfall.
You sure that wasn’t Wayne Gretzky you interviewed? Sure looked and sort of sounded like him. Jacob, your content in the last 6 to 12 months has really blossomed. Congratulations. Question I’d ask this guy … is there really an adjustment the casino can make to change slot machine odds at any given 0:47 time? Airport slot machines are supposedly worse odds than elsewhere in LV, but where or how is that adjustment made to allegedly make them harder to win on?
I live in Florida near the Hard Rock Tampa. The Seminole Tribe compact with the state of Florida is not being enforced, because Florida allows paramutuel facilities in south Florida to offer card based games, slots, and video poker, which apparently violates the compact terms, so the Seminole Tribe simply does not pay the millions or billions of dollars due under the compact. I believe this is based on a court ruling saying that Florida is not living up to its side of the compact. But the state of Florida still somehow allows them to offer Class 3 gaming without a compact at this point. (They tried to reach a new compact recently, but that was struck down by a federal judge because it included the right for the tribe to conduct statewide mobile sports betting off the tribes' reservations). I assume the state of Florida cannot audit the tribe's games, since the tribe basically ignores the terms of the existing compact and does whatever they want without state approval at this point. Unlike the state-licensed paramutuel facilities, the Seminole Tribe is not required to publish the slot payback percentages. My question is whether the slot manufacturers make it impossible for a tribe like the Seminole tribe to lower the slot payback to whatever they want? I assume the slot manufacturer's reputation is at stake if a tribe sets the payback too low. Same with video poker--I assume IGT wouldn't allow the tribes to manipulate the card decks or RNG to rig the games. I doubt the tribe has the software expertise to do this anyway, but I wouldn't put it past them. The Seminole Tribe basically has zero oversight in Florida.

@Pat 75 Pattttttttttt!
Unique video. Thanks. Was interesting. Never seen this before.
The one question you didn't ask was is it tested when on casino floor. All good to test when no money involved but what about when live ?
Absolutely great idea that this video was! Also amazing videography!
Great video Jacob, very interesting and informative- thank you
That was actually pretty cool. Thanks going there and getting some inside info about the games.

Not sure If you know but in Australia they are called ‘pokies’ (pronounced po-keys) which is short for poker machine.
There should be a regulation for the machines to display the house edge.
Always wanted to see a slot machine maker. Great idea for a video!
