I was an incredibly massive Chris Cornell fan and with that, a Soundgarden fan since 1988. I learned guitar and started singing with Chris as an inspiration. His vocal range and sound was a rare gift. It means so much to me to hear this respectable and fresh cover of Chris's work. You did a phenomenal job everyone 😊 I Love this cover. A good suggestion. I'd forgotten he existed, and when I was aware of him in th e60's I loathed Diana so much that I never listened to him any more. However, he's a very much changed singer since that age ago, and his version is very good, the next best cover to Haley's for me.
Listening to this is a magical experience that everyone should experience.

Personally, i'd love to hear Starlight, or Stockholm Syndrome by Muse covered by PMJ. But the others are fantastic choices as well. Now that I think of it, i'd like to hear all of those covered by them too.
Xadaj127 Starlight would be great. I don't know if they'd do Stockholm Syndrome because while it's big amongst Muse fans, it's really not that popular in the mainstream. If they do any Muse, it will probably be Starlight, Hysteria, Madness or maybe Dead Inside or Mercy.

Reinhart’s singing is fantastic. This whole PMJ concept is amazing in how it turns these songs into their best possible versions.
I simply can't get over her. I just can't. She moves me in ways very few artists do. Her talent, beauty and grace... Just wow! She's my artist crush. It saddens me deeply to know that she isn't as famous and appreciated as she should be. I want so much more for her, and it's safe to say that she has earned it. I personally blame Steven Tyler and the other judges for allowing her to lose American Idol and for not trying to take her under their wings. Why not? Y'all want beauty... well, she's got it. Steven Tyler had her back as a judge. He also introduced Haley to his lawyer who specializes in the music industry. So when Jimmy Iovine -- then head of Interscope and a mentor on idol that season -- signed Haley she didn't agree to use them as her music publisher. Instead, she signed a separate deal with Ole that has proved fruitful -- they placed her music on TV shows, in ads, in a movie and in stores/restaurants. And they backed the production of her second album. That support was needed because Iovine turned over control of Interscope to someone not vested in Haley to focus on Beats, which he sold to Apple for billions.
yes she was better on AI than the other 2 that beat her and the judges were stupid to pretend otherwise, but winning might not have been more beneficial for her. Look at how she shines in songs like this! Having her saddled to a generic pop contract where she'd fail making other people's music (like so many pop winners of AI) wouldn't have helped her much either. I've loved hearing her on the PMJ songs, such an incredible talent - she needs to be making the music she wants for it to truly shine.

Scott, you and Haley really upped your game with this one. Great job, I've listen to it a lot since it was uploaded. Only one change I'd make from a photographic perspective. Lower the mic a bit, don't hide Haley. :)

Lilka20061990 Unfortunately the PMJ version of The House of the Rising Sun is recorded in a casino and there is far too much audience noise. Look up her version with MYFM. It is superb, in performance and recording quality, and has a great bluesy piano backing which really complements her singing.

This song shouldn't be sexy. There's a thing about grunge that happyness and glam and everything rarely fit with the songs.
Everything here is well executed except the fact that the meaning of the song seems to have been set aside for the sole purpose of making a grand show, particularly with the vocals.
It's not that I don't like it, but this is surelly not the way and feel this song should be interpreted.

Idk how this cover can be more plainly obviously incoherent. And I do appreciate that there was a lot of work put into it, but it just should'nt have been done this way. Its like putting Radiohead's Creep in the melody of an Ice Cream Truck.
