My country doesn't even have whips and i never heard about the different techniques that you have to learn to use them, thank you buddy for introducing this culture to me. Sorry about my broken English
I’d be hesitant too! Morgan whips are really nice and such a cool piece of history! I made the whip I’m using, it’s an 8ft. I make custom whips over on my Instagram okie_bullwhips. If you’re looking for a whip that looks and feels like a Morgan bullwhip, look into Paul Nolan at Midwest Whips. He makes two Indy models (along with several other great models!) The Modern Indy is his way of making the Indy bullwhip with modern techniques. 1936 Indy is the version that uses the same techniques Morgan used to make his whips. Also check out Nicks Whip Shop, Swordguy Builds, and Eliason Whip co These guys build excellent whips and I recommend them all the time!
This whip is an 8ft, and I would suggest a 6ft whip for crowds. Just because a 6ft is faster than an 8ft. A fast cracking whip looks impressive and if you can do fast tricks with it, it’ll keep an audiences attention.
Brilliant tutorial and so effortless. Im just starting out on my cracking journey. Out of interest. What length whip are you using in this video. Looks like a perfect length
Thank you! This whip is a 8ft Indy style bullwhip, which is my favorite length and style, and recommend it every time. Good luck with cracking, and one day you’ll do it just as effortless without even thinking about it!
Awesome Video! Was wondering where you got your whip and how much it was to see if I can get one like it. Because I was thinking of getting a 10 foot whip, would it work the same as an 8 foot? Again, great tutorial!
Thank you! I made the whip that I’m using in this video. It’s an 8ft. There’s a little difference between an 8ft and a 10ft. The biggest two being how fast they can crack and how many kinds of crack you can preform. With an 8ft, you can do more complex cracking routines, since it is a shorter and lighter whip it can be cracked for longer. However it won’t be as loud as a 10ft would be. 10ft whips are pretty good with continuous flicks and can get pretty loud. But since they are longer it does get harder to do more of the complex tricks.
@@Okie_bullwhipsThank you for the information! I think I’ll just be deciding between the 8ft and 10ft because I’m going to be using it for an Indiana Jones Costume for the looks. I will definitely learn how to use a whip to get 1 crack or two with it. Thank you again!

is that 6 foot or 8 foot? What do you recommend to perform that in front of small crowds...
