I'm demonstrating several different ways to crack a whip. I'm using a 6 ft nylon cow whip. The cracks demonstrated are:
    1. Cattleman's crack
    2. Overhead crack
    3. Flick
    4. Slow figure 8
    5. fast figure 8
    6. volley
    7. snake killer/drum roll
    8. coachman's crack
    9. Tasmanian cutback
    10. Singleton special
If you'd like any of these cracks explained in detail, leave this video a rating of 5 stars and send me a message or leave a comment saying which crack you would like explained.

Adam, I have an 10ft indy-style bullwhip that I bought from you about 4 years ago. It's an awesome well made, beautiful work of leather. It's actually quit heavy slow compared to many of the whips I see being cracked, but it's a LOUD cracker. What cracks are ideally suited for heavier whips that I can be practicing. Thanks for your time, and excellent craftsmanship!

Cool. We live in a Australian/French household in France and I was explaining the verb to whip to my 8 year old son. Your video was very useful and he was very impressed. He has never seen a whip being cracked. I used to have heaps of fun cracking a whip when I was a kid in Australia but it isn't really something a typical French kid would see. Thanks!

Your videos are very, helpful. After not picking up a bullwhip in over 25 years. With the help of your videos. I've gotten the cattleman's crack( side and overhead) down pretty good. Also the coachman's crack. I have an 8 ft., 8 plait, beveled, black, cowhide, bullwhip. I'm old school. So I don't have a nylon whip. But the one I have cracks pretty, loud. And will probably get louder. As it breaks in.

Thanks, Adam, I have a shorter one, cheaper, but your videos helped me get rid of some pesky male cats bothering my yard pets today...so I'm all in, sir. Your videos are the best....I want to learn how to use longer whips in time and do it safely. So Subscribed, yes!!! Love it! Also urban protection while walking from dogs that try to attack. lot's of dogs where I live and some pit bulls seem to pay attention when they hear the crack. So safer than dog spray at points in urban settings. Get a lot of strange looks, but whatever...makes me feel safer.

That was impressive...I just started making whips and have made one that is nylon that's a bit over 6 foot and I'm wanting all of these badass whip cracking methods! I have some new things to try hahaha right now I'm trying to learn how to aim with it cracking about waist high and I'm getting much better at that but I knew there were some awesome cracks, that I can totally hurt myself with when attempting lol.

always use this when calling someone whipped. It has come in handy much more than the creator would have expected.

I'm here researching cause I'm writing a character who uses a whip, and the sound is so freaking satisfying. Definitely don't regret giving Magnolia one of these lol
