I have been using the udi 2 iron for over a year now and absolutely love it. My hybrid has been confined to the garage, and I feel a lot more confident with my 4 and 5 irons

Picked this up yesterday and I will never take it out of my bag it has officially replaced my three wood as my favorite club! It’s absolutely amazing it’s for the better player no doubt it’s hard to hit but the shots I’ve had with this have been nothing but butter! Absolutely in love with this club so so so worth it!!

I recognize every word you're saying. I have the old Taylormade UDI 2-iron, and I thoroughly enjoy every single shot I hit with it. It's a monster from the tee, especially on dry fairways, where the roll out can be massive, and the ability to hit it both high and low is great. Use it more from the tee than my driver...
Just bought one of these last week. Absolutely love it! Goes miles and it's incredibly workable

I have the TM LT's 2 to PW irons, find it hard to get a replacement after 10 years.
After watching your video I bought the 2 iron and it was so great I left my driver in the bag and broke 90 for the first time. Thanks so much Rick!!
He said the club is meant for better, low handicap players, does it have some good forgiveness then? If you just broke 90 (7 months ago) then how did the club work for you?

I used to keep a one iron in my bag for days my driver just didn't want to cooperate. When hit right it was sweet. But when hit wrong it was like taking a 2x4 to a streetlight. I want to try one of these. Great review Rick.
Lovely looking club . I use 718 ap2 irons but got a AP3 3 iron 2 degrees strong to 17 degrees with kbs c- taper x130 it’s a beast and can be hit high or low . With the little bit of offset it’s easy to hit and forgiving too 🙂

Hi Rick I have a set of talyormade p790 absolutely love them and I wanted to try it so much so I got a shot of it and couldn't hit it at all do have a rsi 3 udi iron absolutely love it first tome I hit it went 260 yards
Watchin you and Pete stripe driving irons introduced me to these bad boys and now i'm rocking a Srixon U65 18 degree 2 Iron and absolutely love it! Keep up the great contend Rick!

i love mine, i have three of them, its a great par three driver and low ball out of the woods iron
Good video, Rick. I tested callways x forged UT yesterday . Have you tried that version? The ball speed off the 21 degree was better than my 16 degree hybrid and better grouped as well. Compared to the TMade it was also as long and better dispersion.

Coming from the Mizuno MP-25, and after watching your review on the P790, I got them as a full set 4 from P, and there are absolutely amazing. Cheers for the reviews of clubs.

Don't feel bad Rob. I would not touch it with a ten foot pole. I gotta stick with my hybrids. I have a complete set of Callaway Hybrids 3-8. XR 16s 3-5 and Rogue X 6-8. I can do just about anything with them. Love watching the reviews with you and Rick by the way. Great stuff.

I’m a 20 handicap and play with the udi as a driving iron. I find it really easy to hit as long as u can swing a club pretty fast.

Rick, I don't have a handicap as i am not a member and only play once every few month. I have the older Taylormade 2 iron and it is the best club in my bag, I love hitting it. I also have an old Tommy Armour 14deg driving iron but that has no forgiveness at all

The P790 are the best looking irons TaylorMade has produced. Unfortunately my game isn’t good enough for a 2 iron at the moment. But one must have goals! 👌🏽

i have from the truck a 3 bend to 17° ( before UDI was out ) with hordes 6.5 handcrafted. this club is a killer. flight is perfect even with 85 grs shaft

Check out the m2 LIFT. It’s the 2017 m2 iron in a 2 iron loft (16*). It flies farther for me than the p790 2 iron

I have a udi 1 iron and I love it. I hit it better then any hybrid. I will have to try it out.
I just literally bought one. I have the Mizuno MP20 MBs, and even a 3 iron version, as I hit that pretty good, so I'm confident I can hit this well! So excited!
After a brilliant fitting session at foregolf.ie and ending up with the P790 as my preferred irons - I’d love to try this one out.

I'd love to see a comparison between the different driving irons from Callaway, Taylor Made, Ping etc.. And also I'd love to see a comparison between driving iron and hybrids from same Manufacturer. So hit the UDI and a taylor Made hybrid and compare. Obviously the hybrid is going to be a higher softer landing shot I would think but to see the differences in Distance and carry and roil after carry would be interesting.

Would love to see how high you can hit it. Love the stinger off the tee but what about into a par 5?
Would love to see you hit some fades with the driving irons, as a draw seems to be your go to, natural ball flight. I have a few holes on my home course which would require a fade w/this driving iron

Tried this club out a few weeks ago. Loved the experience of hitting a little tiger stinger.
Got one and love it. Only real taylormade club I have enjoyed using. It looks sleek.
I keep a 2 iron in my bag for this very reason. I can usually count on it making the fairway and get really good distance/roll. Especially here in Florida.
love my TM 2UDi so much, my go to club on shorter par 4's or drives with danger lurking

So you don’t recommend a 2 iron for a higher handicap player then? I have real trouble keeping the ball lower and I live in Florida right off the Atlantic Ocean where wind is always a factor?
I finally picked this up.... WOW... believe it or not... I found it easy to hit. And you can do anything with it... I'm a 10 handicap.. this club is looooooooooooonnnnggggg
Rick Shiels....I'm wanting an iron that I can consistently hit and get around 190-210. I'm using the Rogue pros now and hit my 5 iron 180-190. I do not like hybrids at all and was even thinking about getting the Rogue X 5 iron. What do you think about going with a driving iron instead?

They have 1 irons on the van. I saw a couple 16*s bent strong for the junior invitational at Sage this year.
Would the 1 iron be 15* since the 2 iron is 17*?

What is your input on either playing the P790 3 iron or buying the p790 2 iron udi? I checked out the size difference and it appeared the 2 iron was bigger in size then the standard 4 iron....
