LOL; you ad-libbing about using the bunker bank was epic, and then you snooker-cued a putt! Wow. That was a really enjoyable vlog; tough challenge to be sure. Think I may try a 3 club challenge next year with 3-wood, 7-iron and putter Cheers
That course looks immaculate... very well maintained!!! Using one club can definitely give insight to what you can actually do with it! Honestly though Pete --- by talking your way through the shot you intend is a great help... it slows you down and allows concentration on how you see it or the mechanics involved. It may not always work but it will more times (or close) than not! I do enjoy your channel my friend --- it's good stuff!!! Be Safe
I love watching you do these kind of challenges Pete. Next time me and my buddy go out for a quick 9 hole walk, I’m suggesting playing a hole with one club and also just 3 clubs the whole round. Definitely could help the imagination and tuning your ability to create shots! Love it Pete!
Great idea to control it with the bank of the bunker. I do that all the time. And when I play a with only a 3 iron, I always make full swings and control the distance just by hitting more or less ground before hitting the ball. So a clean strike will be 180m, 5mm behind the ball will be 165, 2cm behind the ball will be 140 and so on, you get the idea.
Another hard day at the office for No1 UA-cam golf instructor 😆 Played in a 3 club comp few yrs ago was great fun used hybrid, 7 iron & wedge made you think about each hole.
Speaking of encouraging shot making at the driving range. I like to have one of my kids pick: 1. Which flag to hit at 2. What club to use 3. Draw, fade, or straight 4. High or low It certainly keeps things interesting and gets them involved even after they get tired of hitting balls.
Hi Pete, great video. Thanks for doing this. I've been promoting this concept on my channel for some time now. I've found it to be one of the best way to 'learn' how to play the game. To date i've had over 100 folks reach out telling me how they have broken their PB using this concept. I now only own 7 clubs myself! It's all very 'Lost art of golf' 😉
For some reason I cant hit a driving Iron with a graphite shaft in it. I have the GAPR Lo 2i and i have a DG 105 steel shaft and I love it. With a graphite driving iron, I could never make solid contact with it. Great video Pete.
Just got this and got nervous it wasn’t supposed to be used from the fairway, which is mainly what I bought it for, but then I saw you use it for every shot and feel better now lol
I have one of those UDI:s with a AD DI hybrid shaft in it. Best club in the bag, no competition. Both from the tee (245-ish yards average) and from the fairway (230-ish).
Great video as always Pete! Recommend you trying a "reverse the bag" challenge next! The way it works is once you've used a club on a hole, you can then only select a stronger lofted club for your next shot. For example, if you hit 5 iron off the tee, then you must use 4 iron through driver for your approach. It reverses the normal club progression on a hole and forces a lot of strategy and creativity. I found it useful in terms of thinking through how to approach a hole working from the green back to the tee. Just an idea!
I hate to be the one to say this because you certainly know more about golf than me but in project x shafts 6.0 is a stiff, 6.5 is x and 7.0 is rory territory. Still a great vid and quality content Peter
Pete, you don’t need to tell the Taylormade guys about it, but do yourself favor and try the Mizuno HMB 2 iron on the course. It performs... brilliantly. I think I’m taking my 3 wood out of the bag.
Great vid as always Pete. Your content is always great. And between you and Rick, my game has gotten much better. The one club challenge does look like a good time. I'll have to give it a try, even though I'll be no where near only 5 over. 🤣🤣🤣
Nice work Pete. Thanks for the vids. Hey I'd be interested to see a challenge where you use all regular flex clubs - vs someone of the same handicap with the extra stiff clubs they would normally game. Does it really make a difference once you've adapted to the reg flex clubs or is it really essential that the gamers are extra stiff for the low handicappers ?.
Great vid, Pete! I have that monster in my bag, too. But to be honest, I´m still struggling with it. Could you make a vid on how to play that 2 iron, please. I´ve seen you gripping it shorter almost every shot. But can you control it 100 % from the tee and from the fairway? Can you shape shots with it? Would be helpful for many players, I guess. Thank you!
I love my UDI! But you said 6.0 is x stiff? I thought 6 was stiff and 6.5 was x stiff? I may need to look into this as my older UDI has the hzrdus black 6.0 in it. I'm now confused Pete 🤣 Great work though matey! I'd be in double figures after the 2nd hole easily doing this 🤦🏼♂️🤣
Peter, when you say numbers, you don’t put and unless it’s a decimal point. For example 250 would be. Two hundred fifty. 250.3 would be two hundred fifty and three tenths. Lol.
7.45-8.10 You can talk threw all your shots if you have a round with me Pete, I’ll do the same and show you that my clubs don’t listen to what I say like yours do lol
What’s going on Pete? No videos in over a week?! Hope you’ve got some good stuff lined up? Would be great to have a video update every now and then between long gaps of course vlogs and challenges! Bit like you used to! Almost every day you were posting! Hope all is well
LOL; you ad-libbing about using the bunker bank was epic, and then you snooker-cued a putt! Wow.
That was a really enjoyable vlog; tough challenge to be sure. Think I may try a 3 club challenge next year with 3-wood, 7-iron and putter
Cheers
The quality of this video looks unbelievably great! Congrats on you and your team who edited this!!
xiktor121 thanks a lot bud
When you realize Pete could beat you only using a 2-iron 🤨😂
Thanks Pete for another fun video. I have one of these club heads and have no idea how you did what I just watched and I am very impressed.
The production quality on this video is second to none! Great video Peter! 👍🏿
asianDTC cheers bud, can’t take all of the credit for this one!
Great video Pete... Always love the interaction between you and John, Rick or whomever is in your group... Loads of fun and info!
I really like this simple editing style! Definitely do more of this. Just you playing and narrating 👍
That course looks immaculate... very well maintained!!! Using one club can definitely give insight to what you can actually do with it! It always looks so wonderful when someone can play so well with a 2 iron, great Vlog, really enjoy all the content that you upload here.
Yes. This video is a great idea.
This course looks amazing.

Absolutely love my 2 UDI!!
Peter you are a real star
The course Vlogs are great. I love how you teach while you play!
Chris Riley 👍
The greens looks so smooth!
That's why I've been chunking some shots with my UDI. I need to play the club further from torso.
Gorgeous course, Pete. Fun video--and love the sound of that 2 iron. Let's see you do this challenge with The Square Strike Wedge! LOL! Cheers!~
loving the laughter from john when ripped it from the bunker haha

Best video for a while that Pete. Thanks.

Pete, Project X Shafts have their flexes as 6.0 is Stiff, and 6.5 is Extra Stiff.
Great video I’ve got enough to work on let alone a 1 club change. Need to get to grips with the 14 club change first.
For some reason I cant hit a driving Iron with a graphite shaft in it. I have the GAPR Lo 2i and i have a DG 105 steel shaft and I love it. With a graphite driving iron, I could never make solid contact with it. Great video Pete.

1:54 "use the bank" 🤣
Buzzjugs perfectly controlled 😂

makes you realise why Seve was so creative when you remember that he started out with just a hand me down 3 iron to play all the shots!
You're actually really funny, got me laughing Peter. Keeping it relaxed.
Oregon Watson try my hardest 😂

Like these kinda videos pete! Always a pleasure to watch👍🏻👍🏻
Controlled it... haha. That was hilarious Peter, keep it up.

Swing is looking good Pete, love the course vlogs!
Eli Huey cheers bud
... and that is why you have a true blade 2-iron, much more workable than those hybrids/driving irons ... Great video!
Beautiful course!
Does sound nice, makes me want to hit a 2 iron which is something that's never entered my mind lol, great vid Pete. Thanks
Sounds like you were having a good time! I enjoy my 2 iron as well :)
+5, that's playing to my handicap on a good day with all my clubs...……. show off.
I often shoot a +5. Then I move to the second hole and it all goes tits up.
Nice work Pete. Thanks for the vids. Game is looking sharp Pete (bunker play not so much but it was a 2 iron)
New filming and editing style? I like it, feels very professional. Nice

It's a cool new filming technique
Love this!!! Thanks again Pete!!
10:52 nice take. I'd like to see more like that! great video btw
Juanma Álvarez thanks a lot :)
Man, you play some great golf courses!!
TRENT KITCH 100%
How do you like the shaft? I have a udi but thinking of changing to a graphite design your ad 85g ...thoughts?
Great video pal, just wish I could shoot that score with my full set 🤦♂️😫😂😂
love the videos Pete!
Just took on this challenge! Went boggy 5 on par 4. 450 yarder. Couldn’t get up and down for par😒
I just bought the p790s 4-pw loving them but the 2 iron must be immensely hard to hit
How often do you use a 2 in actual play, do you even carry a 2?
Looks really hard Pete one club challenge ⛳👍
Just shows how you can adapt on the course when you have to think of various shots to play.
Why the P790? Why a 2 iron and not a 3 or 4 or 6?
I waited the whole video for him to finally use that second club... then I read the name again *facepalm*
Richard Mareš glad it wasn’t just me.
Richard Mareš 😂
Great club, have one myself
11:26 me and my 60* wedge.
Great challenge - good try 💪👍👊🙂
Petes pantomime villain laugh lol
Hey Peter, what is the weight of your 2 iron shaft
How is this club out of the rough/fairway on 2nd shots Pete?
Yo pete!!!!! Just bought my taylormade Rsi Tp Udi 2
And my new Staff bag 2019 like youuuuuuuu😎
So sharp this bag...wow
allo cromeau 😍
I love my UDI! But you said 6.0 is x stiff? I thought 6 was stiff and 6.5 was x stiff? I may need to look into this as my older UDI has the hzrdus black 6.0 in it. I'm now confused Pete 🤣
Great work though matey! I'd be in double figures after the 2nd hole easily doing this 🤦🏼♂️🤣
🔥⛳️🤙🏼🎥
Keep posting 💯
Ace Hardy will do...
5 over playing with just a 2 iron is better than just not bad. Most golfers like me would be 5 over still playing the first.
You should do a match against fryer 2 iron only. Should be a great match. Way to use the bank that's how I would have played it lol
So this is the channel where golf and the #imsorryjohn subreddit finally come together. Weird mashup, but I'll take it.
Perfect channel! I like you!
long drive vs Rick with driving irons???
I want one 💪🏼👊🏼🤙🏼
LOL good luck if you find a greenside bunker...
Not too bad Mr. Finch! I hate to say it but.............You might just have found your new putter!
How hard are these things to hit?
Love this vid
Peter, when you say numbers, you don’t put and unless it’s a decimal point. For example 250 would be. Two hundred fifty. 250.3 would be two hundred fifty and three tenths. Lol.
Great round Pete... Now you’re ready for a challenge against gm__golf
3:48 "Peter Climaxes"
14:36 ...and again
More of this content
Vikram Bajaj more planned!
5 wood or 2 iron??
Last chance for a betty...who is Betty? LOL
7.45-8.10 You can talk threw all your shots if you have a round with me Pete, I’ll do the same and show you that my clubs don’t listen to what I say like yours do lol
So all I need to beat Pete is him to use one club and spot me 3 shots a side. Noted. lol
5 over is better than what i play for my 9 with all my clubs I shoot like 9 over
What’s going on Pete? No videos in over a week?! Hope you’ve got some good stuff lined up? Would be great to have a video update every now and then between long gaps of course vlogs and challenges! Bit like you used to! Almost every day you were posting! Hope all is well
Still better than me with 14...
I got nightmares.. from 2 IRON.
Ahhh maaan
I hate it when I brake a tee😔
How bad am I that I would lose handily to Pete, with me using all my clubs.
Holding a 2 iron in the bunker does not a Sand wedge make...lol.
If you didn't want any backspin you shouldn't have hit a 2iron into the green...sheesh!
Hey Pete! You and Rick should play GM_golf in a match
Thirsty Moose oh yes!!!
What’s sad is I’d probably hit a higher score with all the clubs in my bag
