THE TIME IS NOW! Can my 1969 Dodge Charger be brought back to life after sitting for years? We start back guns blazing with floor pans and paint! It's just a matter of time before we make Hot Rod Power Tour and Holley MoParty! Think we can make it?

Finally....the Charger is getting attention!
we appreciate the content Dylan! I would like to say a big thank you to you for keeping these vehicles alive. I’m not entirely sure if you are like me or not but I do not enjoy seeing vehicles sit and rot. cars were made to be driven and I think you see that. I am almost 18 and as soon as I can I’m gonna try and start saving vehicles just like you have. I’m from Arkansas and there’s a bunch of abandon cars here so I think I could do pretty well. anyways man as said before appreciate the content. Keep this going!
That’s the spirit!
I love what you do keep it up
@@DylanMcCoolVideoif you still have the original engine you should go through it and build it up and put it back in the car it would be a lot better than the one that you have in it now
Oh .... and don't forget the money....the gobs and gobs of money
Making sensible repairs instead of bolting on shiny new stuff? What a breath of fresh air!
Beautiful car !...well worth restoring....I know you are a "patina" guy but it would be cool to see this one all the way thru to new exterior paint !....keep up the good work.
I second that completely. The patina thing is so common anymore, and a 1969 Dodge Charger deserves to be repainted.
Yes, please for the love of God, paint that thing... It _definitely_ deserves it! 🙏
I'm glad you didn't give up on it! Great progress!!
Nice to see the Charger back. Love that car. Can't wait to see the upcoming updates on the restoration.
Dylan...muh man...the content WE WANT TO SEE!! Some of your older projects are really loved
This Charger and the old Challenger is what brought me to your channel years ago. To be honest, I haven’t watched your content the last couple of years because I liked what you did back then, more so than now-
Happy 28th birthday Dylan, thank you for sharing
The car that brought me to the channel in the first place. Love to see it again.
We have all been idiots in the beginning and done stuff the wrong way. It's called learning.
You're so lucky that it wasn't previously redone. I had to learn to weld on my grandfather's old truck. He brazed and used different thickness metal. That was a trip to weld on! 1965 C10
Dylan what an improvement on the inside of the car.I'm sure you're going to sound deading the floor also the roof that will make the car much warmer in winter and cooler in summer, what a great job
First time I watched this channel was when you bought this Dodge. You did a live chat and even answered my question. Been here ever since, glad to see its back.
I love the overall look of the car. Those old Chargers are my favorite Mopar muscle cars.
You did an excellent job on the interior, but before you reinstall the tire for your seat, you'll want to clean it up nice, repaint the rim, and put some tire black on the tire. It's got to look nice. 😊
Good idea 😂
I remember the build series on this car, it's an awesome car you did good
I would love to have my youngest grandson and Briar stand side by side. They could be twins and they wouldn’t say a word all day. Just nod their heads and smile. Love what you do and thanks for sharing.👍🏼♥️🙏
Very cool that you are teaching Briar all these skills. More young people need these skills.
The interior is looking great already. This Charger deserves some love.
Glad you’re back on this one. The charger is why I originally started watching way back when
Thank you for framing yr restorations in the Scripture. We know especially this time of the year where our Ultimate Restoration is.
For I (we) can do everything through Christ, who gives me (us) strength ! phil4.13nlt
There's a super clean one sitting here in North Carolina that I drive past everyday to and from work. It looks like just a shell and it's all primer gray. Has a for sale sign on it.
Were is it?
@@mikecrowley6487 it's on 98 coming from wake Forest to Durham. Right hand side
A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain’t
Glad to see the charger again. One of my favorite cars of all time
One of my favorite episodes is when you dragged this car home! Good to see it back getting the attention it deserves. It needs to get those steel wheels back on it
Loved that car and project back in the days. I know the legacy story but still thinking...this car need a good painting. :)
I'm glad to see you're working on that one again that was one of my favorite projects you did
Just Remember when Doing the floor, It has to look just as good under the Car as on top, You have nothing but Time, so Don't rush it, The car is not going anywhere, and I have done enough restores to know, . Just do it right and take your time. Good Luck.
While you have access to it all, you should add sound deadening to the roof, floor, behind the door cards before putting everything back together.
Dylan, this is a nice welcome back for this car! GIT ER DONE , SON.... THATS SOOOO MCCOOL!
Enjoyed your video! I like the fact that you’re obviously a man of faith & therefore your videos don’t have any trash, strictly car content! Keep up the great work on those dodges! Any pickups in future videos?
This brings me back to the long-term project cars where you would see wheels, brakes, floorpans, and suspension. I really do enjoy those long-term projects, these short-term ones are good don't get me wrong, they just don't fully scratch the itch.
I will always come back to watch another project by Dylan McCool, they are awesome it does however give me the bug to find my own old car to rebuild and restore.
I appreciate all of your videos; you really are an inspiration and I have gained a lot of knowledge from your videos. Thank you so much! I cut my teeth working on older Mopars. You inspired me so much that I purchased a 1966 Barracuda
I luv this car! This car was the reason I subbed years ago to your channel. Still watch all of your videos today cant wait to see more Charger vids. Thanx Dylan from Scotland.
Glad you are back on the Charger; I have been eagerly awaiting it's return. It is more important to seam seal underneath the floorboards than the top, that is where all the water is going to be splashing up. Looking forward to seeing this gem restored and back on the road.
Happy 28 birthday, Dylan 🎉🥳. Thank you so much for sharing. The floor in this car looks great now. I can't wait to see what you have in-store for the future.
Glad to see the Charger coming back. That's Gen 2 Garage theme music at 26.00. Alison is from a Mopar Family and she drives a Very Wicked Small Block Dart.
Glad to see you working on this again! My car is a pretty close twin to yours and seeing yours get worked on is very motivating to get my butt out in the garage.
This was the car that made me subscribe, love it. So glad to see it getting some love. Please for the love of all things fit sound deadening and a head liner. It deserves a banging interior.
I love these top to bottom rebuild serieses so much
Some DynaMat in that thing on the floor and roof, carpet, and a headliner and it’s a whole new car to drive!
You might want to invest in a cheap plug weld hole punch. Beats the heck out of a drill. Those new floor pans look great!
Well about time Dylan, lol. I really missed the Charger. I hope you go all the way and finish this car, thanks for sharing
Dylan the car has really improved a lot. I looking forward to seeing the next video.
I am a big fan of 1969 chargers since I grew up watching Dukes of Hazzard and I loved the General Lee.
So glad the charger is back, can’t wait for this series
Thank you for sharing the work on the Charger, Brother Dylan. A lot of YT channels are all about getting these great old cars driving again (i.e., engine, drive train, suspension, brakes) and they'll clean the interior and replace/repair seats if they're too broken/nasty to sit on. But you are going the extra mile and restoring the interior. It's going to look great and run great.
Keep up the good work.
It's unusual that the rear floor pans rust out and not the front. You guys did a great job, looks awesome!
Glad to see you back to working on the charger. I think we really love seeing the projects coming back to truly roadworthy condition.
I don't weld much, but I still bought a punch for plug welds (what you were calling spot welds). Way easier than drilling and not that expensive.
Dirty lary crazy lary paint color charger regards👍
Good afternoon from Cape Cod 🦈 you and Briar did a fine job patching the floors and painting. You're right that car really is in my opinion rust free. You don't see too many Chryslers in that condition that old. Can't wait to see the interior. Keep up the great work and the awesome content guys 👍✌️🇺🇲
Love the '69 Chargers. Shouldn't be too long term of a project with everything that's been done already. Looking forward to seeing it!
I’m glad to see the chargers is back. It’s what got me hooked to the channel.
Another thing youngman i,m really glad you have a young man also working right beside you learning a skill and trade its a joy to watch this unfold our hobby or yes habit is slowly trying to be killed off with all this EV.s being pushed on us i had my day doing this and i miss it disabled but still really watching you and all the rest on youtube and am so in love with that pretty doggie of yours i think it would love to go on some of your rides to boy mine did i had labs and pits miss them also so much youngman enjoy watching you all
Look forward to seeing this completed before Power Tour. You will look a lot better out on the road. Presentation is everything. Thank you Dylan!
💯👍👊
So glad the charger is back! I remember talking to you on power tour this summer and you hinted at it coming back. Im excited! watched it in 2018 and the 2022 hash! itll make it this time! Cant wait to see it
I don't mind the time lapse parts. At least you're showing your work, not like these other car shows! Keep up the good and entertaining work!!!
Floors look a lot better and good to see you teaching bryer he’s been a great help.
I like the unpainted unloved look. I like the idea of fixing that car up where it counts, for performance and comfort. But, I think I would keep the outside appearance just the way it is. Looks cool.
Congratulations on all the progress!! Great job y'all.
You got a cool shop. I'd love to see Christine done.
You're lucky you didn't burn the car down man.
I really like the time lapse and the soundtrack. Keep up the good work. I'm hoping to be able to do the floors of my car when it comes time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I recall you saying something about how the UA-cam algorithm didn’t like the multi-phase builds. I like the “can we make it run” videos, but I enjoy this content much more. You guys are doing a great job! Can’t wait to see more.
That's awesome man, great content. 69 charger has been my favorite car since I was a little kid, I'm glad you're giving it some attention. Keep up the good work!
I felt physical pain when you were describing the history and the power tour driving experience. 🤣 I think you should do a montage of sliding across the hood of each version of the car, maybe climbing in through the window. Like progressively dejected hood slides .....🤣 It will ride again soon! Insane amount of work you've done and continue to do on this beast.
Your Charger is one of the coolest cars on UA-cam! Just great!
Very nice work Dylan and Briar! Great information in this one!
Glad to see you back on the charger my friend.... can't wait to see more on this project. Keep up the great work and big shout out to you from Mexico 🇲🇽 buddy
Been watching you on this car since Day 1! Please keep more Charger videos coming! So glad to see what is gonna come of it! The floors look great! Good insulation will keep your feet cooler bro
Love this car! I've always wanted one. Keep working on it until you get it the way you want it this time.
I have missed some episodes but I really like how you keep them in a time capsule of where they are. I love old cars and trucks! I want to see where the Plymouth duster suv is at? Great channel and love that you leave in the diagnosis and repairs because all of that is getting lost.
I'm glad your doing her justice because that was the first thing I started watching on your channel before the 73 Challenger.
You were working on this when I first subscribed back in 2018/19. Nice to see it back, good job.
This gives me more motivation to finish my projects!!
Return to floor pan work, nice!!
That came up beautifully nice job guys
The interior is looking great!
I love this content! Looking forward to watching this series! Keep it up!
Great video 🍿🍿🍿🎬. Can’t wait to see this finished 🤙
Love this car I think it deserves new paint!
Keep up the great work Dillon
Hello fellow Tennessean I always love to see an old charger revived and back to life keep up the great work and I'll be here to see your progress
idk why but i enjoy your vids with Briar. fun dynamic.
Good Afternoon Sir , I hope you are doing well and having a fantastic day today Sir !
nice to see this again, cant believe its already been 5 years since I orig. saw it.
The rustoleum rust converter in the spray can has worked really well for me on my projects for getting into crevices. You should try it. You still need to paint over it but it's worked well for me.
This is the car that made me discover your chanel. So glad you're finaly working on it again ! It's actualy my dream car 😢
Excited to see the next video on this car! Thanks for the great content Dylan.
so glad you went back to the charger it Was one of my favorite cars a friend had a 69 New and was the same green which when new was beautiful , thanks for great content and your love of the lord and HIS life changing word
That is a great transformation.
You need to seam seal the bottom of the car at the seams. You don't want water, dirt, and debris between the sheet metal from underneath either.
Yes... Thrilled to see this kind of video content love the bigger builds. Not to enthusiastic over the start and run shows. But always ck out what your doing. Keep this going great shows. Thanks for the return to best content in my opinion.
Great job Dylan and Bryar
loved the progress and the whole project. perfect
Sounds so good!
Great 2 see the car from my favorite shirt get some more ❤️!!! Rock on 🤘 Dylan....and Bryar!!!!
Waw! Nice going guys! Good job.
Having watched this car from episode 1, it's almost hard to believe that it's been 6 years. Glad to see it again, like an old friend.
So glad this project is back ...we were promised it's return ! 👍🏼
I love the videos Dylan. I watched all the videos back then. Keep up the great work
I remember when you got it running
Like to see you back to working on the Charger. Ended up finally making my first video. I plan on doing rockers this summer. Thanks for your videos
