    Hearing someone say “significant amount of snow” and picking up barely a handful is just too funny. You’ve got to come to the Twin Cities area in winter. Or more north. Our blast of cold was very extreme. My water froze 3 times in my house. My car barely started. I’m considering wearing sandals when the temp goes up to 44 on Sunday. 🤣🤣

    I love snow squalls, when I lived in New Hampshire they were quite common and even worse than the one you documented. So interesting how it can go from sunny and calm to raging blizzard conditions in 5 minutes and then return back to sunny and calm a half hour or hour later. Sadly, where I live in California we don't even get snow.

    if it gets toooo cold it can't snow...and you need mittens and a scarf! One of the characteristics of a squall is that it comes up FAST and there is usually wind...but if you think that is a significant blanket of snow....that is called a dusting!!!

    Hi friend,
    Very kind of you to do this v.t. , you've braved the elements and survived, I've been watching all the videos people are putting on u-tube & ABC NEWS & a few other news channels, I was shocked to see the amount of snow & the freezing temperatures from -10 to -51 .
    I live in Edinburgh Scotland UK, were not to far behind your our temperatures are only -5 For now but were expecting it to get worse,but really very greatful for doing this video & sharing it with the world, stay safe & warm. USA & CANADA.

  • @buzzardbrother1911

    It was snowy and cold here in North West England today but that was fierce. I don't mind the cold so much, I've spent winters in Norway and Canada when I was in the Army. Those squalls can be brutal especially line squalls when you get bands of it coming in. Stay safe brother and try not to wear more than three layers or you'll sweat to much and your core temp will drop off you're out in the cold for too long.

      bklyn charm, that is a very common term in Upstate. Right now it is snowing with about 2 to 3 feet of snow on the ground and another 2 to 3 feet expected by tomorrow. Lake effect snow rarely reaches your area. It is below zero at this time. Snow squalls are very common here.

    • @danielsmith8111
      @danielsmith8111 4 роки тому

      Snows about 25 inches a year. The most we have ever gotten is 32 inches in one storm. I'd say about once a decade there arent any big storms at all but we usually get one big storm a year where 7 inches or more fall. To survive id say about 40k and to live comfortably 60k. You don't need a car though so thats nice

    I live in NYC and I remembered how things went that day. When I left my house on my way to a 3 hour class, it wasn't no cloud in the sky. And right before my class was finished, it looked like a thunderstorm was coming, the sky got so dark. Then the snow squall came about. When I were taking pitchers on my phone, I were getting froze bite. Should of seen one of the pictures of me, all you seen in my background was white like I were in heaven. That's a snow version micro-burst, a short live snowstorm outbreak that came out of nowhere. Would have you wondering what the hell just happened.
