This is beautiful Tal! It has a lot in common with the Buddhist middle way and the idea of karma as every moment being a death of a precious moment and the birth of a new possible future moment; such that you can live in a kind of psychological hell by always thinking beyond the moment rather than really being in it. Or you can live a kind of holistic state of physiological and psychological balance where you’re aware of the moment, and let go of unhelpful thoughts very easily. Blame, resentment, toxic anger etc, all keep us from discovering the peaceful ease and joy of letting go of those things, and being patient and kind in the world and present with the people we share time with.

You need to remember that until 1947 the idea of Israel being established as a sovereign state was impossible. Perhaps, modern Jews, like yourself, might have spiritualised the prophecy? Great video Tal! Love the biblical theme in some of your videos lately. BTW, I think what Christians call "end of times" is אחרית הימים in the Hebrew Bible, which means "after days" and not "End times." The biblical prophecies of the after days describes peace, eventually.
That’s a good point, and at any rate Rev 16 isn’t about the end of the world.
Just a reminder to not mischaracterize the Relevation as literal as it is too cryptic to interpret so in this may not be a literal interpretation (like terms of "Egypt" and "Babylon" in it may likely not be literal), although I'm not necessarily discounting it.
Overall though Tel Megiddo is pretty cool, saw it on other videos too, The different Tels like near in Beersheba is cool too. Shows that the Old Testament words may hold strong historical ground with the history that keeps getting uncovered. Just like how the Old Testament mustn't be mischaracterized, the New Testament shouldn't be too.
In the terms eschatology I think Christians should use it to strengthen faith rather than be to scared by to it. I think many are afraid because they feel insecure about themselves spiritually, when for Christians there should be assurance from Jesus, and the willingness to grow spiritually.

In the Bible, tel in Hebrew is translated as heaps. In Strong's it's a mound, heaps of ruins, a hill. Some scholars have pointed out that Revelation is a mess of Greek grammar indicating the original Hebrew behind the text. You can find a recent translation of הספר הסודות (The Book of Mysteries). It was the name found on a Hebrew manuscript of book of Revelation. It has been translated into English for those interested.
Also, "Christianity" was started by Jews not Gentiles. Revelation was written by a Jewish "seer". Like the prophets who prophesized things that you guys are still waiting for. Christians are not appropriating anything since it was spread by Jews. Gentiles might have taken the baton but the Jews gave it to us. It will be given back them again. Jews will run with the revelation once again. It's prophesized.

Evangelical Christians have been so supportive of Jews since October 7th. They can believe that Tel Megiddo is Armageddon just like we believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Mashiach; and though he may tarry, we still await him every day.
That maybe the case - but Christian culture has given rise to the greatest series of anti-semitic horrors that the world has ever witnessed - arguably surpassing what has arisen from within islam - never forget that.

There has pretty never been an official church sanction for persecution of Jews. When Spain expelled Jews guess who else was expelled? Protestants, and Muslims and other minorities why? When Edward Long Shanks expelled Jews it was over money, not religion. If you study the lives of many saints you will see that the basic human rights of Jews is a concept believed in, there were Popes as well.

For you to see how bit a deal this is, Black Americans and Caribbeans haven’t even received a formal apology for slavery form the U.K. No less any form of reparation. At the end of the day, to my knowledge there has been few if any official commands from any church communion to persecute Jews. So in short Europeans throughout history did persecute Jews this happened before and after the rise of Christianity not bc of it. Further more thats only parts of Europe Poland was a hub for Jews, and in the Middle East and Africa Jews and Christians were both being persecuted.

My family lives 10 minutes west of Tel Megiddo on a kibbutz. I love Tel Megiddo. So special and they keep uncovering more ruins. Every time I go back to Tel Megiddo, there is more to see. Also, I'm pretty certain they uncovered ruins going back 9000 years - not 6000 years as you stated in the video.

I wanted to clarify, when you hear of Christians speak of the "end of the world" at Megiddo, it doesn't mean end in the final sense but in Revelation, God says, "behold I make all things new" Rev 21:5.
The current fashion of this world will end, but He will make all new. In the Tanakh, take a look at Isaiah 11 for when He makes all things new. Lots of good stuff in the whole chapter, verses 6-9 particularly focus on the newness.

How can we be sure that what you say is correct in both the Talmud and the Torah? It is an interpretation based on faith and knowledge from the rabbi. These are not God-given principles to guide us. It's actually quite poetic. So many civilizations tried to control this place because of this prophecy that the apocalypse will start there, that they eventually brought it to ruin themselves.
By coincidence I just got through listening to the late Dr. Michael Heiser talking on this topic, and recently ran into Barak’s channel. Overall I enjoyed the video.
Clarification on the Christian view: within recent decades, and primarily in the U.S a fringe view has gotten attention in the media, and among some churches, “dispensational pre-millennialism” it’s very recent view and nowhere near the majority Christian view. They take some past tense prophesies as literal, and symbolic language as literal.
The early and most biblically accurate view of Heaven and Hell for Christians is that they’re primarily a state of existence or experience, before anything else, hell is rebellion against God, Heaven is unification with God, for believers Heaven (in part) begins the moment you accept Jesus, and begin to follow God, Hell for those who reject God begins when they decide to do so as well (in part). Christians Believe in a physical bodily resurrection of all humans, just and unjust at some point in our future so it’s not like heaven and hell are some everlasting spiritual places for us despite common misconception.
So with all this being said, Revelation 16 in context, is about the Jewish wars against Rome in the first century, there are reasons it mentions having garments near so that you don’t have to flee the conflict naked lol.
It is not about the end of the world, bc the world won’t be ending, in the Christian view God will renew the cosmos. The mark of the beast is worship of Nero.
Lastly in your claim that Christianity is a appropriation of Judaism, this is actually not correct, Christianity is a late branch of 2nd Temple Judaism, that’s affirms Jesus as the messiah, and these Jews like St. Paul/Soul, and Peter, concluded that it’s okay for gentiles to believe without first becoming Jews, or following the Mosaic Covenant. The New Testament is a 2nd Temple Jewish work, and on that note, rabbinic Judaism as we see today was a reaction among some Jews who decided not embrace Jesus as messiah, other groups like Karaites also exist. Paul and the other apostles we reclaiming the nations for God, this is the undoing of the divorce between God and the Nations at Babel.
If you want a quick and simple understand of Christianity, just read the Nicene Creed, and avoid the rapture people that’s also a minority and fringe view.

I wrote that in response to the size the archaeology site, lots of steps, walkways more so then footwear. Flip-flops would work for the temperature l agree staying cool.
I walked all over Megiddo, for at least 8 hours, in a pair of Naot sandals. It was over 30C. Shoes would have been too hot. Water is important though.

Armageddon is mistakenly interpreted as the end of the world, but It's a major battle in which the Messiah rescues Israel from Gentile armies in Megiddo. The 1000 year reign of the Messiah must come before the final end.

You are right Christianity came from Judaism in fact if i would have been born 2000 years ago before Jesus i would have converted to Judaism . This place is also mentioned in the tanakh in זְכַרְיָה chapter 14 , its the same event and Zechariah 12 :10 and Zechariah 13 :6 says something interesting

The view takes the stance that each millennium is actually a day according to God (as found in Psalm 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8). and that eventually at the end of 6000 years since the creation, Jesus will return. Two faces of Jesus return, first to remove the church or the believer of Christ and after 7 years Jesus will comeback with His saints to save the Jews who now received Him as the messiah. Rule the earth for a thousand years.

I think your point on Tel Megiddo not being the site for the end of the world is understandable when you have a non spiritual perspective. When one thinks about it from a spiritual perspective it very much is possible that Tel Megiddo will be the site of a great battle. All of the civilizations that settled there were world superpowers, and these ancient civilizations were influenced by the same spiritual powers that are influencing world leaders now. Leading to a lot of the evil and corruption we see today. It is possible that there is some sort of spiritual significance to the site which is why there has been so many super power civilizations that have been drawn to it throughout history. The people change but the spiritual influence whether it be good or evil is the same.
To add to this if you look at the "immoral" practices that the ancient Hebrews were instructed to refrain from by God (one example being homosexuality). A lot of the super power nations today and of old are doing or did those very things. Europe, America, Rome, Greece, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, all have been practicing the same immoral things throughout history. That points to spiritual influence.

Armageddon is a Christian concept, however מלחמת גוג ומגוג Is a very Jewish concept of the end of the 6000 year era followed by the days of משיח. Please read chapter 38 of יחזקאל and chapter 14 of זכריה. If you read the haftarot in a סוכות מחסור of the first day of יום טוב and שבת of חול המועד then you will realize that the so-called end of the world is a Jewish teaching, even expounded greatly by the קבלה. In a great way it’s a full circle back to what Hashem intended for גן עדן, אל תשמע הנוצרים

Yes, it is allowed to convert to Judaism and join the Jewish people.
Of course you'd be allowed to convert to Judaism, but you'll be discouraged to do so. Rabbis want to make sure it is really in your heart, not a passing fancy. You'd be better off talking to a rabbi, not a vlogger.

I am from California originally. Within the borders of CA one can see various fruit farms, mountains, foothills, Redwood forest, the Sierra Nevada mountain range, desserts and of course the Pacific Ocean. I lived in the Sacramento Valley and traveling all over the place and 800 miles of travel is still within California's borders. That is much bigger then Israel, however; Israel has much more rich history. I hope to go soon.... Share some more of this rich history. I like watching your channel. Best wishes.
