I have 5’ red poles that I would consider using in this situation. This time I spoke to the plow operator and he said don’t bother. He knew I’d be there that night
I remember what happened to Chad. His last car before the van. The snow plough hit his car and destroyed it. There might be other plow drivers on the road. Also , other people could feel the same as you about the snow and want an adventure. It is better to be a little cautious and safer. You have many, many happy years traveling to go.
I don’t like getting cold anymore but I sure do think that winter is the most beautiful season of all. I grew up where it snowed and as a kid could spend endless hours in it but age has a way of changing that to watching it from the window or UA-cam. Enjoying your winter videos and love your van set up. I like the lighting and its so clean.
This dude is healthy; thigh-deep snow shovel-out is impressive. His joy, lust for this environment, is if course, a great energy assist. Plus, immaculate van set-up
I live in MA, and once we got 5 feet of snow. I opened my front door to the porch and literally had to start shoveling because I couldn't get outside. Shoveled down the stairs, path to my car and all around my car with room. I had 2 sweatshirts, a stocking hat and gloves...it took 4 hours. I was sweating and freezing when I came in. Then for the last 3-4 years now...only some flurries. Not even enough to shovel. Go figure. They say we are supposed to get a lot of snow this winter but they said that last year and 1 day. When I saw him shoveling all that snow, that's all I could think about, lol.
Lots of fun. When I was young, I used to snow mobile in 7 feet of snow break trail with an elan snowmobile and use also an Artic track. Both had a wide wheel base. Just to do 20-mile runs into lakes to go ice fishing from 6 a.m. to around 5p.m. locations varied. No tent. The ice was so thick. 4 feet at times. We just bundled up with layers of clothing. I just loved the crunch of the snow and the wonderful silence miles away from civilization.
Aloha Everest - You are so fun to watch. I’m biting my nails watching this but your attitude & demeanor is so calming that there’s no reason to panic. Thank you for all that you do.

Such an amazingly exhilarating experience!! The closest I’ll ever get to sweeping over the snow-scape. You miss your awesome car Chad I know but seeing you settle in for a snowy night in the coziness of your beautiful van-home is heartwarming ❤️💛
So appreciate ur adventures in the snow! I lived off grid at 4000 ft in Eastern Wa n LOVED MY DIG OUTS! Well, not necessarily LOVED them but to me there's NOTHING better to make u feel ALIVE than to battle Mother Nature n Win 👍💯 it's a true accomplishment to say the least my friend! That metal step/flashing you put in thats straight outbof a bada55 1980s longhaul truckers truck is not only bada55 but an extremely genius idea. Great job! That one details says much about you.
I've recently started watching van camping videos. I have no bias towards any channel as I've just started to explore them. I would like to say that you should definitely continue what you're doing. Your videos are as good or better than the other van camping videos with 1mil+ views. Your videos are top notch and will absolutely catch on soon enough.

Agreed, his voice is soothing and he’s calm. None of that yelling obnoxious sounds humans tend to make lol, and I think the way he transitions videos is excellent, with great views and great scenery footage. I wish I subbed earlier because his videos are exactly what I enjoy watching

In a world seemingly full of negativity and phonies, it’s nice to just hang out with a genuinely nice person. Thanks for making this content, it’s a much needed bit of positivity. Just a random thought, you should try and collab with Mav or Steve, I’m sure you would get along great.
At first I was amazed / surprised by how much you look and sound like our son (your age)! Now we're all watching for the content and your pure love of snow, the mountains and the outdoors. Much success to you and your channel! I'm sure your parents appreciate the fact that when they're missing your face, UA-cam is a click away!
Found you after your shift to van life, and watching some of the old videos as well as comparing your number of views, and I think it's clear you are about to blow up man! The van's aesthetics and the way you've built your perfect tiny home, coupled with your sense of adventure, and living life on your terms on your new journey and path are a fantastic recipe for your channel to reach new heights. Wishing you the best from Western New York!!!
Greetings it really a nice video I love it but I don't really like that much winter it's recalls me of my past experience. Hope you're good and safe greetings from Miami
Hey… so..I’m a fellow transitarian here. I swear the last video I watched of you camping in the snow this same exact van was RWD and you had to put chains on to get out of the parking lot!! Now it has an AWD badge on the back. Am I missing something here? Or just another glitch in the matrix..
WOW woooo ..oh weeeeee...over 3 ft of snow its a miracle that u got out of there oh cause u had chains on ur van..great video amigo lord keep u bless n safe also amen
I love your extreme weather van camping videos. I especially love it when your narrating during the heavy weather and giving us glimpses of comfort inside in contrast to the uncomfortable weather outside!
Another snow day! I love it! Not just any snow.. epic Snow! Amazing adventure! Thanks for putting so much work into this project, turned out great! I loved the part when you could barely open your door.. stay safe, brother!
You love snows ? I also love it but I don't love when it falls heavy to the extend that animals are freezed up. Greetings from Miami where are you from
Oh, also a word from experience - when a major snow storm is coming, it helps to put the chains on before going to sleep. A couple of years ago, near Alpine Lake, CA, the truck got buried not only by new snow but by the plow that pushed 4’ of snow against it. Digging out was hard, even harder because we didn’t have the chains on to help. Live and learn. Great adventure and video. Thx.
Greetings it really a nice video I love it but I don't really like that much winter it's recalls me of my past experience. Hope you're good and safe greetings from Miami
I was absolutely amazed that you were able to get that van out of such deep snow so easily. Yes, I know you did a lot of shoveling but even so, I was wondering if you would have to have someone come and pull you out. You didn't. Good job! If I woke up and saw this much snow all around a vehicle of mine I think I would probably have heart failure so the fact that you took it like just a minor inconvenience was amazing. I live in Nashville and we sometimes go an entire winter and don't have any snow at all and it probably would take us accumulation from about 20 years to get this much snow.
Greetings it really a nice video I love it but I don't really like that much winter it's recalls me of my past experience. Hope you're good and safe greetings from Miami
very entertaining seeing the cooking. I love to cook and didn’t realize you could make such good meals in a van! It’s nice to see you really take in and enjoy eating and living living life. Please keep the videos going! You’re really calming and entertaining to watch 🥳
i'll give you a tip. Next time when your van is covered in snow first thing you need to do is to start the van and turn heater on before start digging the snow. You will save time and energy because it will melt the snow on the windows.
Your videos are so great Everest, I literally pause them so they don't end so fast lol. and if you think about it, you actually give us two videos in one where you not only show us the most spectacular nature scenes that you couldn't get anywhere else AND you show us how to cook the most scrumptious meals anywhere you are. In any kind of weather. That is so cool and I just can't get enough of it. As always please be safe Everest. Your the best.💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜💣💜🤍🙌🏻
I was on the way to building out a Chevyvan 1-ton when covid came along, then life went sideways too soon. Needed two maybe three years of the job i was at to convert to 4wd and new big block drivetrain. Yukon just got new motor, chasing down disturbances. That was getting final once over when the van just quit. Dunno, timing chain most likely broke the cam. No money to do another motor. Sold it to the wrecking yard. Project over. I always loved it, being ina snowstorm, inside a warm vehicle, off call taxi, parked semi, just watching snow blow. Got buried in my semi over the hood all warm and cozy, still running, plenty food water power and plastic bags to place waste outside the window while watching TV and PlayStation, bs on the cb... LOL GREAT time.
That is the coolest van I've ever seen. I love this video. You're amazing. You should take a snowblower with you on adventures like this. When you get there for the night, just strap 'er on the roof, and have a ladder with it. When the morning snow is done, just drop 'er off the roof into the snow and start going from there. You can throw snow forty feet and not have to break a sweat. Keep up the great work!
Greetings it really a nice video I love it but I don't really like that much winter it's recalls me of my past experience. Hope you're good and safe greetings from Miami
U r so adorable. Such charisma and living ur best life in that snow while others would be saying it’s the worst day of their life if they were stuck in that much snow.
*_Wow, even if it snows when you go on an adventure with a campervan with facilities like this, it's definitely delicious, for me it doesn't matter what kind of adventure we want to go on an adventure with, the important thing is that we can channel our hobbies with what we can and have, that's right, my friends. Greetings from me Rudy Agustman (Outdoor Tutorial) from Indonesia... Always healthy and successful for you..._*
So, you have a very nice set-up. Well done, comfortable, and quiet. I have twin two year old great grandsons, a 10 year old, their parents, and their grandparents - 5 dogs, 3 cats, plus other small animals (think gecko, and fish). If it gets too quiet for you in there, give a shout! And we’ll invite you here for a few days of R&R.😸😊🤠
Just started watching you and enjoying your bravery! 😳 I backtracked a bit to see history of your travels but now up to date. These type of snows are amazing. Thank you for sharing your life with us! Please continue to be safe!!
Wow!!! What a wonderful video....I love all the snow and how happy and relaxed you were through the whole adventure... even when you had to do 3 hours worth of shoveling to get your van out from under all of the snow...you stayed positive and handled everything beautifully!.. I look forward to your next video!
ive been watching mav for a couple years now. hes been the only one i subbed to that does camping videos, but you now have another sub. Awesome content and I love your van, its so cool.
For the chains, next time you buy, I'd suggest spending a bit more and springing for the all chain construction. The ones with the cable sides always break in pretty short order. I inherited my mom's 23 year old vehicle. Had the same set of chains all these years and have had countless uses with zero issues. They're a little spendy, and tough to come by but WELL worth the investment if you do a lot of snow driving imo.
this was all anyone could ask for from travelers tale. loved your big ass grin when u got up there and started skiing. that chicken tikka masala looked awesome, im hungry now lol. livin your best live man
I just found your videos a few weeks ago and I’ve watched them all. It’s fascinating to me because I’m terrified of driving in snow but love to see it. So, thank you for sharing your experience. I’m in Oregon, hope you get back here sometime (if we get more storms). 😊

I'm in Florida . . good luck with all that this winter ! Just came in from cutting the grass Nov. 12 , 2023 sunny , got some sun , broke a sweat , shower time ! 😊
Love your videos. Quick question. How come you just didn’t back your van up to where the plow cleared the snow. It would make for much easier escape the next day.
Awesome, I get to live vicariously through your camping adventures. I was wondering what the temperature was like since the extreme cold is sometimes moderated in the mountains. Also, time for you to get a pup to share your adventures....
If you are going to be in heavy snow fall areas, you need a regular snow shovel. The pooper scooper you have is why it took so long to shovel out your van. You could have done it with a regular show shovel in less than an hour.
I just love watching your videos. You are just a happy guy. I love that talk to us while camping. You bring us into all your videos. Makes me wish I was camping in a van right beside yours. I could some great information fro a pro.
These winter videos you have been doing are awesome!! I would love to do this, but my rear wheel drive van wouldn’t like that weather at all!! 😂 Keep up the awesome work!! Your channel is awesome!!
Best creator on UA-cam no question! Enjoying this one thoroughly as always! Still watching but thought I would tune in. That opening drone clip of the van was absolutely insane !😊

6:38 not me being an ungodly amount of jealous of all that snow and cold blueness because I live in England where just a foot of snow is seen as blessing I really love winter and I wish I got to experience really deep snow, I want to go to Alaska one day during the winter where their "mild snowfall" is more than I've seen in my life back at home
Fun video. Have you considered a long handled ergonomic shovel? Also, it might be easier to back into your parking spot and install the chains prior to the snowfall.
I got a transit 250 similar to yours but low top and only 2wd for a company vehicle for work of course. This thing gets stuck on damp grass but you made it look easy with everything you got on yours
That was a fantastic watch thanks for sharing it with us ....... I've NEVER experienced snow but that looked like the perfect setting for a very cosy night 🌙
As someone who never did winter camping, i am impressed with your adventure . Just my opinion but wouldn't it been better to turn the van facing out and chain before the storm hit?
The claustrophobia that could envelope You would be horrible if You couldn’t get out of the van! Wouldn’t it? You’re playing with a risk that You should always keep in mind. Be Careful! What a video! Two 👍🏻 👍🏻 UP!! And WOW!!!
@@gunay205 No there doesn’t. Using common sense as opposed to foolish nonsense should always be the ultimate goal. Whether Man or Woman, the point is to have fun but don’t become somebody else’s stupid problem.
I’m impressed by the fortitude You used to dig Your van out of that mountain of snowfall!!! Gracious! You remain careful out there. You’re still the Master! Have FUN! Great cook, too. I also like the ski sequence. Good stuff and great vid!
I think I had just had the best transition of an ad ever just as he showed his curry complete in the bowl an ad popped up showing a curry from the same camera angle haha
I love how your van build came out. The only thing I would say as a female I would need to have a bathroom! Ps. I hope your love ones know where you are as snow is dangerous!
I thought only Indian Himalayas get such snow storm. Your VAN setup is BEAUTIFUL. Caught in storm, Last winter i had to spend night in my Skoda octavia in -15 snow storm in India, luckily morning was clear. While here in Toronto its a common thing.
When there is a lot of snow forecast, I use this trick, I put a flower cellophane film in a single sheet for all the windows in the cabin. If the camper is expected to be submerged, I also put cellophane on the bonnet attachment with the radiator grill, and I cover the air intakes at the base of the windshield, to improve the insulation of the engine. Finally I put two strips of cellophane on the ground next to the tires and in the morning I remove them to break up the snow that is on them. when I leave I will roll up all the films and reuse them when necessary. The cellophane prevents the glass from freezing and keeps the ground underneath warm.
One thing ive wondered. Especially winter camping. You see many vans with solar setups and such. Not many with a mini wind turbine. It could easily be set up as removable using the hitch or a mount on the body and the wiring connection could be done with a trailer plug.
You must have been out for hours after that ski cos u had to walk back up the mountain to the van again. That must have taken a long time with snow that deep.
This is exactly why you park facing out to the plowed road , I feel your snow pain , I had it like this with 50 others in my road on Christmas Day bufferlo

Do you have a red flag on roof indicating you are there? You know, so the plows can see you since your van is white
The Red Flag is a Very Smart Idea!
@@anwarkaifa it’s not to save him, it’s to not kill him with the plow.

Such an amazingly exhilarating experience!! The closest I’ll ever get to sweeping over the snow-scape. You miss your awesome car Chad I know but seeing you settle in for a snowy night in the coziness of your beautiful van-home is heartwarming ❤️💛
I’m glad you enjoyed! I do miss chad but I love my van too
you have no idea how dangerous this was.
Most excellent snow trip. Love the skiing & dodging trees
EXCELLENT! and yes, I'd a put my chains on the night before, BUT!? U DID IT! ❤️ Happy Trails n look forward to "our" next snowbound adventure! 🔥
No, seriously. We appreciate your content. You're a gem. ❤
That metal step/flashing you put in thats straight outbof a bada55 1980s longhaul truckers truck is not only bada55 but an extremely genius idea. Great job! That one details says much about you.
That van is incredible, I watch countless people camp in vans, have never seen anything like this..wow….
It's nice you got no van of that type in your country? Greetings from Miami where are you from.

Thank you so much!
@@TravelersTale I totally agree!
Yep and the cinematography is top notch, you’ll be alright on your own or maybe a 4 legged buddy, Hello from Texas…
I was thinking the same thing
@@TravelersTale TOTALLY agree.. It's amazing all that you can do and how accomplished you are at such a young age as well.. LOVED your skiing segment..

In a world seemingly full of negativity and phonies, it’s nice to just hang out with a genuinely nice person. Thanks for making this content, it’s a much needed bit of positivity.
Just a random thought, you should try and collab with Mav or Steve, I’m sure you would get along great.
I would love to!
How did you get back to the van?
Stop pocket watching and just enjoy the show geez.
WOW woooo ..oh weeeeee...over 3 ft of snow its a miracle that u got out of there oh cause u had chains on ur van..great video amigo lord keep u bless n safe also amen
LOVE the bed! Brilliant!
I love your extreme weather van camping videos. I especially love it when your narrating during the heavy weather and giving us glimpses of comfort inside in contrast to the uncomfortable weather outside!
Thank you so much!
It's really nice dear. I love it too greetings from Miami but I do t like winter's
Another snow day! I love it! Not just any snow.. epic Snow! Amazing adventure! Thanks for putting so much work into this project, turned out great! I loved the part when you could barely open your door.. stay safe, brother!
Thanks bro!
You love snows ? I also love it but I don't love when it falls heavy to the extend that animals are freezed up. Greetings from Miami where are you from
Он худенький, пролезет в щель🤣
I love the inside of the van. Nailed it with the lighting.
Wow, your van is killer. The best I've seen yet. I love all the wood work and finishing touches.
Thx.
Literally where I am in this video haha. Yeah I normally would I was just lazy
Back in my van days a five gallon bucket was a toilet and when the top was on it it was a chair for guests. 👍
Oh I’ve done that too!
Looks a lot of fun, hard work! What’s so cool is your van is like a decent hotel room! Thanks mate as always, really enjoyed watching 😉🇬🇧💙🇺🇸
My perfect little mobile hotel room haha. Good way to put it!

very entertaining seeing the cooking.

What an adventure. Thanks for sharing. The van is amazing.
Can I just say I enjoy how calm you are. I think I'd be crying and cursing a storm with all that digging and snow
Hahaha I love it!
Bro if anything your content has gotten better since the name we do not speak of left lol keep killing it man! Been waiting on this one!

U r so adorable. Such charisma and living ur best life in that snow while others would be saying it’s the worst day of their life if they were stuck in that much snow.
Your videos are epic! I’m so hooked! This native Texan is in total love with all the snow you find! Thanks for sharing!
If it gets too quiet for you in there, give a shout! And we’ll invite you here for a few days of R&R.😸😊🤠
Just started watching you and enjoying your bravery! 😳
I backtracked a bit to see history of your travels but now up to date. These type of snows are amazing. Thank you for sharing your life with us! Please continue to be safe!!
Thank you for watching!
This one was epic. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
My anxiety was at 1 million when he was skiing through all those trees WITH a camera 😰
This looks like an amazing time!

Wow that’s a lot of snow!
I'm in Florida . . good luck with all that this winter ! Just came in from cutting the grass Nov. 12 , 2023 sunny , got some sun , broke a sweat , shower time ! 😊
idk why i love snow in august, but its just... fun with snow! i love snow and christmas so much!
Love your videos. Quick question. How come you just didn’t back your van up to where the plow cleared the snow. It would make for much easier escape the next day.
Agreed, pulling out v backing out.
Is the van 4 wheel drive or all wheel?
In a previous time, he put on chains
Because it's more dramatic to wake up to so much snow that the doors won't open. If he just woke up and drove away, it wouldn't look so bad.
Awesome, I get to live vicariously through your camping adventures. I was wondering what the temperature was like since the extreme cold is sometimes moderated in the mountains. Also, time for you to get a pup to share your adventures....
Agree! Maybe a crazy little Jack Russell, like Forestry Forest.
I am obsessed with your videos having recently stumbled across one.
Always such a great watch.
Look forward to seeing your future adventures 😊
Awesome! Thank you!

6:38 not me being an ungodly amount of jealous of all that snow and cold blueness because I live in England where just a foot of snow is seen as blessing
I really love winter and I wish I got to experience really deep snow, I want to go to Alaska one day during the winter where their "mild snowfall" is more than I've seen in my life back at home
Fun video. Have you considered a long handled ergonomic shovel? Also, it might be easier to back into your parking spot and install the chains prior to the snowfall.
It would make it easier but since I use the same shovel for avalanche safety and backpacking I prefer to save the space
just throwing this out there, since you seem to be alone alot, becareful.
Chain yes haha, I’m lazy. Sno park rules to park that way though
@@TravelersTale LOL, i did that wait until tomorrow thing when i lived just south of buffalo, n.y.. Then would shovel to find the plow for my truck.
Was wondering why didn't you back into the parking spot? That's some crazy snow
It’s just a general rule in snoparks to go in front first, makes it easier to avoid the cars when plowing.
I was wondering that too
The claustrophobia that could envelope You would be horrible if You couldn’t get out of the van! Wouldn’t it? You’re playing with a risk that You should always keep in mind. Be Careful! What a video! Two 👍🏻 👍🏻 UP!! And WOW!!!

Us Travelers except the dangers because we are Men, there's no point in doing this stuff if it was safe
There has to be an element of danger,
@@gunay205 No there doesn’t. Using common sense as opposed to foolish nonsense should always be the ultimate goal. Whether Man or Woman, the point is to have fun but don’t become somebody else’s stupid problem.

I love how your van build came out. The only thing I would say as a female I would need to have a bathroom! Ps. I hope your love ones know where you are as snow is dangerous!
YES to the bathroom.
Yes! Even a cassette toilet would be great
Wear a ski helmet and bright colored jacket
Nature is his flat-screen, just perfect
I love the video. IDK how you handle that cold weather and all that snow. You're the man.
I thought only Indian Himalayas get such snow storm.
Your VAN setup is BEAUTIFUL.
Caught in storm, Last winter i had to spend night in my Skoda octavia in -15 snow storm in India, luckily morning was clear.
While here in Toronto its a common thing.
You Really Push That Van To The Limit.
It is so great to actually see someone throwin’ down in a van kitchen 🎉 and chicken tikka masala at that. Way to go!
My favourite channel i cannot describe anymore so soothing and for me
You must have been out for hours after that ski cos u had to walk back up the mountain to the van again. That must have taken a long time with snow that deep.
This is exactly why you park facing out to the plowed road , I feel your snow pain , I had it like this with 50 others in my road on Christmas Day bufferlo
