There was a part in Conan the Barbarian where his love interest comes as an entity (after she dies) to prevent this guy from performing the final blow to Conan. She asks Conan, "do you want to live forever?" Some reason that question stayed in my head for years from childhood when I saw that movie to now. For Conan, living forever was becoming a King and his story being shared forever as he becomes a legend. I truly feel Arnold can never die because he has left so much behind that our memories of him from his movies, accomplishments, or even videos preserved on UA-cam will keep him around forever. Striving to live forever doesn't mean being alive forever but making a huge impact that people later on ten years, hundred years or even a thousand years will still live on through what you brought into the world.

This world will not likely be here 1000 years from now. If it does survive that long, youtube will be gone by that time and very few people will remember who Arnold was. Give enough time, nobody will remember who he was. Besides, being remembered is a poor form of immortality that is not real immortality. You aren't going to know or care how many people remember you once you are dead. True immortality exists for those who are born again by grace through faith in Jesus Christ , the only begotten Son of God . Any other form of "immortality" is false, yet people neglect true immortality to pursue the pleasures of this life, the memories of which are to fail completely and be as if they never were.

Arnold, You inspired my generation into a fitness trend that opened so many doors for others. I was a Fitness Trainer in the 80's with a desire for stunt work. You had visited my gym in Arizona before I got there that day. Everyone was so thrilled you bothered to come by and say hello and it jump started the attitude in our gym for weeks! You had and still have, a very enthusiatic personality that is contageous! I did reach my goal of stunt work, worked for a USFL team's spring training one year and I still train at age 61 pretty much as I did in my 20's. Thank you, thank you, thank you for what you have "given" to the rest of us. ❤

while growing up, of course I saw the Conan the Barbarian movie as well.
Guess the quote "What is best in Life. Is to crush your enemies(Challenges) see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women." primarily the "crush your enemies and what is best in life", cause well they are for the most part a challenge to life one that can be overcome by being a better version of yourself.
and the best part of life is enjoying what time we have no matter how limited, in some way we'll always "be back." throughout the Legacy we leave.

also, he was deliberately promoted by the media for many years. He was deliberately promoted into politics. The US government has done this with many nazi-family elites (much like how Canada's government just cheered for a nazi criminal). Mind you, I did grow up loving his movies, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy--but as you said--when the chips were down, he was just another fascist elite that was not on our side. None of them were.

He seemed to shrug it off at the time and say no, I'm focused on making movies. So I'm really glad to hear him pass on his wisdom and motivation. I then told him I used to listen to his speech every morning as an alarm clock and asked him if he would record a wake up alarm for me on the spot. He did! I never got the recording, but it was a very cool moment to have an exchange with an Icon who I admire so much 💖"Break the rules" . Do what you love with your life and work hard. In a small Siberian town there is a gym in the basement of a 5 floor Soviet house (so called "Khrushchevka"). There's a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger painted by the owner of that gym. A reminder that hard-work, discipline and motivation can get you anywhere.
Herr Schwarzenegger is an inspiration and our childhood hero. When I was a 4 years old kid, I didn't know much about the world, but I certainly knew the name "Arnold Schwarzenegger", the Terminator from the Terminator movie. He is like the Austrian Jackie Chan. Thi is bizzare.
I always have been a big Arnie fan. As a kid I loved your movies, I started going to gym because I thought it is what an action hero must do. I read some books and then
.. then life just went on...
This is so bizzare - I haven't really seen anything about Arnold for years.
Today right at this moment, I was lamenting my recently ended damaged relationship. I am 35 and it just hurts in a depressive way. I also am financially broke first time in 10 years.
    I just felt empty.
So I am sitting now at my desk. Looking at some work emails. And just sulking.
And then.. I looked up some music on youtube...
And then this video opens. MY LEGACY IS YOU!
    Gave me goosebumps.
It is like all Universe spoke to me.
I am shedding tears as I write this. I suddenly felt all the heaviness of the world lifted from my shoulders.
All we need in this life were given to us by these heroes.
People who did not give up, who worked harder when the time came!
I suddenly felt free and that I know where I want to go in my life!
    Thank you, Arnold!
