      If you told me it was a bucker I honestly would believe you. It’s like a really articulate bucker mixed with the raunchiness of a P90. It also does cancel the hum.
      I spoke with schecter who essentially clarified the pickups are spec’ed identically to the Nick Johnston pickups. I have zero desire to change them and I’m normally pretty quick to swap pups.

      Sounds like a toy, looks like one too. The neck is way too small, it looks like a guitar for little boys, and appears too small for the guy playing it. Why is the nut so narrow on all these 'copycat' brands, like Schecter, Ibanez, ESP... whereas the big 3 American brands all use at least 43 mm nut? There are too many unforced errors like this in the guitar world. It can't be comfortable to play, good luck hybrid picking the adjacent string with such a tight string spacing.
      If it didn't have the ooga booga dark neck its sound wouldn't stand this thing on its feet. Indeed when you look at the ones with a maple neck, you think you're looking at something from a pawn shop or a gimmicky Squier. And not sure why it's called a multi voice when it's just a 5 way strat. The only innovation here is that you aren't hitting a pickup with your pick, which is nice, but you still get a lot of funk tones that result from having a middle pickup.
      This demo was trash, he talked the whole time and played a few power chords on some shitty SS practice amp, and basically it sounded like shit. Not sure why this guy has half a million subs. Why tf do reviewers talk about the specs which are easily seen on any website? They never give any insight that is worth saying out loud that would result from holding the thing - which we cannot, since in this corporate trash world, everything is online and we have to take these annoying gambles ordering guitars sight unseen.
      Garbage guitar, garbage review.

    As Mark Knopfler would attest, Schecter has always been a great platform for creating a decent instrument. This guy could pretty much pick any guitar he wanted. Of course, he loved his Fenders, Gibsons, Steinbergers and Pensa-Suhrs. But he also used several customised Schecters particularly during the golden years of Dire Straits. Good enough for Knopfler. Good enough for the rest of us.

    Great review and great playing. I am interested in this and the NJ HSS and until I get to try them out, I'm trying to narrow it down just in terms of the common denominators and disqualifiers. My two mains concerns with this guitar are 1) the slanted pickups. I would think this would result in potentially less tight and flabbier bottom end, and a more brittle top end. 2) I do want the noise reduction benefit of a humbucker, but since this guitar isn't a true humbucker, does that mean it has more noise than a normal humbucker? Or does it at least less noisy than regular single coils?

    • @rw5170
      @rw5170 2 місяці тому +1

      Less noisy. Does have a bit of the single coil sound but a wrap at the nut keeps that from happening, at least on mine.

      I owned an F50 for a decade. Great amp. Cleans are beautiful, a bit on the dark side. When they discontinued it, the replacement was the Express series. Pretty sure it's the same clean circuit, just with the ability to change wattage between 5 & 50. A used F50 isn't that expensive, either. I tried out a bunch of amps, and even my girlfriend who knew nothing about guitar immediately said, "You should buy that one."

    a different perspective and without being condemning of one`s view and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one`s valid opinion, i honestly believe
    that i completely forgot what i was going to say ..ah i remember, its @ 1200€ here in germany, thats a bit too much in my opinion 😑..cheers 🎸🎸
