first massive scooter rally i went on our club was called ''Durham County Scooter Club'' back then all from Peterlee and surrounding area! very good mates with the reading offbeats further down the line! Big up to the huddersfield scooter club we met on the way there, good crowd!
Mate.. this is quality, I don't even remember video cameras being invented in '85! This was my first rally under my own steam - on Vespa 90 from Canterbury. Apart from the glassing incident this was an outstanding rally. I seem to remember smashing a tin tray over my head a lot in the bar - it gets a bit blurry after that!!??
great weekend..lost my train ticket & got a lift from bad manners road crew to hertford ,then hitched to kent..meteors were brilliant..wrecking & moshing as far as the eye could see
❤was there tuff 3 days alot changed with this rally i camped in the place where the custom shows ,, blaged my way in saying i had a bike in the show no sleeping bag tent 🎪 etc drink , 😢 happy days just got to big and out of hand
NICE to see my self on the track with my gp 230 kawasaki white with red side panels no 119 . newcomers first in race one , third in race two , second overall in newcomers brilliant weekend .
I went to donnington on a p*ss yellow primavera i think, remember seeing scooter racing for the first time and some poor sod getting stabbed and about ten skinheads getting beaten to a pulp for having a tattoo because the "clever" D J put it out that the lad that did the stabbing had a tattoo and a skinhead. I was a member of the MAD PIGS from Reading we used to do a fair few runs in the mid to late 80s, I remember having the time of my life, cheers for posting this
aye mate i nearly got lynched as i made my way to the stage area just after it had happened, i saw the lad with the teardrop run past then a squad of lads out on a killing mission came through the crowd, i got a few looks as i had a baldy 'fester' head, i did have bike jacket and tartans on as well which may just have saved me!!!!!!!!! say hello to the offbeats for me!
PK50's - They were the days. I had one at 16 and even with a expansion exhaust and fucking about with it as much as I knew how (not much) I only managed 38mph downhill!!!!!
Can anyone help me find a video? it's much like this one but everyone is riding their scooters standing up across a field ect and there is a bloke in full vietnam gear, I can seem to find it anymore... any help? cheers

done the security there front gate along came a transit bus looked in asked for the pass not got one came the reply said you anit comeing in then a voice from the back said you know me looked at him said no problem buster in you go the rest is history

At the end of the video you can see my JUDGE DREDD Lammy, Chiselspeed tuned, I miss them daze and that Lammy... 53 now and still got a GP.

In my opinion-this is when Scootering started going downhill-Far too many Thieves-Trouble Makers and non scooter riders attending runs

I went to this but not the 86 event. Remember a couple of kids were killed by a drugged up trucker on the way home who also managed to kill himself.

We had a run in with the Mansfield lot, in Coventry, lets just say, they never came back for round 2.
