How much yarn needed for the base
Almost a skein of biskvit yarn.
Why is mine not stay flat? The shape is the same but it seems like it’s hard to lay flat
1) your tension is too tight. 2) you need a bigger hook and 3) steam iron it, but cover it with a cotton sheet

Try a bigger hook. Your tension is maybe too tight. Option 2: get a pillow case put it on it and try to steam ironing it.

How'd you stop it from curling
1. Steam ironing (don’t forget to protect it with a thin cotton fabric)
2. Your hook is too small or your crochet is too tight.
3. When you make the bag/basket’s side it will be flat.
