This was Doug's best review before the 2013 revamp. It's the longest, the most ambitious, the most creative and really digging into what was wrong with a generally loved movie rather than a generally hated one. It still holds up and is still among his best. And here's a fun fact: The reason he's such a good singer is because his mother, Sandy, was a professional Opera singer. Or at least she was before she gave up her career to raise Doug and Rob.
Does not compute. The NC jumped the shark after Demo Reel. At first the skits were sort of tolerable but that changed once Rachel left. 2010-2011 was the NC's golden age.
Doug did a couple videos as himself where he listed the Top 10 Movies he hated but everyone else loved and Top 10 Movies he Liked but every one else hated. When it came to the first list he put this movie as number one.
NC's The Review Must Go On, it became his theme song. I mean he had one before but it was more mellow and had a conservative vibe. His current theme song stayed after this review was released. They gave it an electric guitar cover, and now all his current reviews have that theme song start us off every time.
Also, the song from the film that "The Review Must Go On" was meant to parody was a cover of a classic Queen song that was made when Freddie Mercury's time on earth was running short.
the movie is alright, but i love it for the musical numbers. although it was nominated for oscars, it got none for the music. not one song in this movie is an original score

I know, I was trying to remember him from other movies, besides star wars: episode I - the phantom menace, but forgot the other movies, thankfully, I looked them up, the island & angels & demons, and trainspotting, that's what i remember the most, 😁👍
Just to say the big guy who runs the circus I forgot his name is played by Jim Broadbent who played Roy Slater on Only Fools and Horses if you have ever seen that m
Ah yes, trainspotting, I've definitely seen this, among with the island & angels & demons, I was trying to remember him from other movies, besides star wars: episode I - the phantom menace, but forgot the movies, 🤪
I am certainly familiar with bad movies as many of my favorites are most certainly bad. Only thing I have always felt confused about is calling it a guilty pleasure as I am never actually ashamed of it
@@MynameisCharlie the only bad ones I can think of are most non-Disney musicals (not counting Prince of Egypt of course cause that one is awesome) and Home on the Range. Aside from that, I think animated musicals are usually Disney's speciality.

It's Not exactly shakespeare, but i'm pretty sure people understand what it means. 😂
What are your guilty pleasures
This is Doug's favourite review. He does a few more musical reviews down the line, I love them all.
10:17 That part for the music fits with that bit batman and robin as it sounds very batman 66
Take a SHOT every time they say the word "love"..... lol
You have seen Ewan before. He's Obi Wan in the Star Wars Prequels.
Or, as the Internet knows him, the God-King of r/PrequelMemes
Also mark from train spotting is another way people recognise him
He's also grown up Christopher Robin and the new Danny Torrance, aka, Doctor Sleep.

Nostalgia Critic was arrested for Brentelfoss' murder
Fun fact: the Argentinian is played by a Pole ^^
Granted I didn't see this film, so I might be wrong, but it seems that Frozen explained love a lot better than this film did.

One of the best nostalgia critic episodes ✨🎭 💀💃🏻

Yea, I only know him as That British Guy Who's In Everything But I Never Remember His Name.
Jim Broadbent, Going to have to glue the name to the wall next to my monitor, to never forget, 😂
@@MynameisCharlie He played Professor Slughorn in the last two Harry Potter movies.
Ewan McGregor is Obi-Wan from Star Wars

You should check out Brentalfloss' With Lyrics series. The video I like watching is "Zelda with lyrics."
And now its his review opening in the new episodes. 😁😍
Just to say the big guy who runs the circus I forgot his name is played by Jim Broadbent who played Roy Slater on Only Fools and Horses if you have ever seen that m
Oh god, Only Fools and Horses, Absolutely love it, among with still game, 😉
My name is Charlie haha class man still game is fantastic but mate only fools and horses never be another show just like that
Jim Broadbent is probably most well-known as Professor Slughorn from the last few Harry Potter movies.
Is everyone on drugs in the movie? 😐
He pronounced Ewan's name wrong.
He pronounced it "Ew-an"
But it's pronounced "Yoo-an"
And he was also in Trainspotting if you've seen that.

Wait! Did you say this was better than all the cartoon musicals you watched?
*Disney fan triggered* Lol
I don't think all cartoon musicals are bad, there's a lot of good ones, but a lot of really bad ones, 😩
