It was never part of Israel. Look at the history. Gaza does not enjoy freedom, and borders are controlled by Israel. There is no self determination and Palestine is not recognised as a state by Israel. The issue spreads beyond Gaza alone, and even the Oslo accords pointed to water control as an issue for instance. The people of Gaza were complicit in the October 7th atrocities.
