- 2019 Fiesta ST review. I drive the Ford Fiesta ST and some what compare it do the handling of the VW GTI. There are a few things that have room for improvement, but I think that makes modding it more fun!

The new FiST in Europe has an optional LSD from the factory. Quaife makes them for the older version, too. The 18-19 FiST is identical to the 16-17, but with a rear camera. Ford tried to keep the cost down on the Fiestas, so they're cheap new. It's a great deal for the money and there's a world of aftermarket parts for more performance. It's a great platform for just about anything you want to do with the car.
Also......the Fiesta is an economy car. Poo pooing the window controls is asinine. The only leather in the whole car is fake and it's on the owner's manual case. It's cheap fun. Gti is faster , more comfortable and more popular car. I see 20 a day. The fiesta st is unique and rare. It's fun as hell
Seriously, GTI’s are everywhere! I work in San Francisco and during my day I see around 15-20 of them. I’m not hating on the GTI at all, they’re fantastic cars. But I’ve only seen a handful of ST’s driving around. They are unique in that sense. The GTI is definitely more mature, but the ST is made for the hooligan in us all!
HUH? I think your comparison is a little off. Turn in refers to the immediacy of steering response, not traction. The ST family of cars has a more neutral chassis balance and more immediate steering responses than does the GTI. The GTI does have an LSD but it definitely understeers more that either the Fiesta or the Focus ST. In wet weather I'll give you the GTI's LSD's superior traction will have it slipping less but that is a function of a traction not steering and chassis tuning. I had an SVT Focus that I installed an LSD in. A world of difference when it came to traction and grip. However it was not until I installed a larger rear sway bar that the understeer decreased. The STs all have a brake based LSD emulation that while effective, does not compare to a mechanical one. That being said, I can easily break the rear end loose in the wet in my 2017 Fiesta ST and use power to adjust the line in both wet and dry. Stuff the GTI can only dream of. It's fast and highly capable but it's at the limit default is to plow. Quite a bit more the the STs. You have to modify the GTI to get the kind of balance that the Fiesta comes with from the factory. The steering wheel is too big? I disagree here too. A smaller one would turn that delicious steering into something darty, and hair trigger. I do agree on the things that add more content like a one touch window for the passenger passenger and maybe better seats. Then again given the tightness of the Recaros that is probably intentional to give broader people something that is comfortable. Maybe a third option there that splits the difference would have been a good idea. Fiesta Its Rule!
The 2019 GTI I drove in the wet pulled in. This pushed 🤷🏼♂️
@@Carguments Try the car in the dry, the car tends to oversteer more than anything. Only time mine has pushed in a corner was in heavy rain on almost bald tires. Even then I let off the gas and the rear came around and it gripped up again

We’re are you from I want a Ford Fiesta st I got the se dual clutch it hauls ass for a automatic cause there’s no weight too it wish I could meet some time I’m from Anderson the got a f n ticket from a Noblesville cop I’m in the middle of traffic cars behind me and in front and he nails me like I’m driving a hell cat or a st and I’m going with traffic in a 45. His says he got me at 58. There’s no way he was call probably cause I was beating cars off the line so someone called and I got nailed well anyway s enjoyed the review

Yea that’s our last ST hatch in America 😭😭😭 they discontinued the entire line and the RS. So I got this same exact 2019 Fiesta ST new and have just started the mods
Who reviews a performance car in rainy weather? Watching this review is a waste of time.
It has no oh shit handles and has no hanger hooks. Be wary of the transmission sometimes it sticks. When you push the start button sometimes it doesn't start for 10 seconds or so. Only the driver's window has express up-and-down. The other 3 windows hold to open and close. Sunroof only has express open not close. Engine makes non rpm noise. Finger controls such as blinkers and wipers could be more ergonomic designed. 1/2 moon storage below A/C useless anything will fall out. Hard to see traffic out right rear window corner even with rear headrests collapsed. ST should be fully loaded. Mine came without heated seats. However, seats are durable cloth unlike cold leather needing heat. Having said all that I dig the car white on black, I WOULD REALLY DIG IT IF CAME EQUIPPED LIKE IT'S EUROPEAN COUSIN...
