Very helpful and informative mate keep up the good work!! Seam to really know your stuff and what viewers want to see in the video! Definitely helped clear a few things up regarding PSU cables, installation to the mobo and gpu for my first build coming up! cheers again!
Very very usefull video! It was nice that you explained all of the cables and what they are and where they need to be plugged in.. you helped me alot ! :)
Does it matter which SATA slot the cable goes into on the power supply? For example, if my cable from the hard drive to the motherboard is on SATA 2, does it matter which data slot it goes to on the hard drive?
just sharing a bit of knowledge, hi-pot is a very important test, stands for high potential. the electric device is being connected to a very high voltage (i.e. 500 volts) and being tested for leakages of electric current. (i.e. the isolation was damaged and stands very close to another wire or even a metalic body instead) this test is one of many defeces of your well being. =) *flies away*
@@Phenoman hello, i have the same psu, and if i put my ear next to the back of the psu i can hear a high pitched noise, btw it s noticeable only when i am very close to the psu, and sometimes when i am playing games for long, it sometimes "screams" , i also think the capacitor is the problem, but i am a bit scared:)
This is going to be my first time replacing my PSU because i need to get ready for my future GPU so i hope it won't be too complicated.. or blow up my PC by mistake.. just saying :p
thank you, you saved a lot of my time for research i needed to know if this psu comes with the 16 pin so 8x8 and i doesso thank you and its a really good review
Awesome video!!! I like corsair PSUs. Im building soon new build after my old school Intel i7 2600k to Ryzen. Im gonna use grey labeled Corsair CX550M which is enough for any build. But I will go with this version 650W since price is almost the same as 550W here. :)
Hi!My Corsair CX650M has just arrived. What are your specs?I'll use it with an I7 3770,8GB RAM and GTX 1060 3GB.Maybe it is overkill for my PC but I want to be sure that it is good if I will make an upgrade.
Great video! We couldn't get our computer to power on if it wasn't for your video! Thanks! (upgraded Dell XPS 8700 with corsair CX650m and Aourus Geoforce GTX 1060 - 6GB)
Question does the PCI-E cable that comes with the package is 6+2 + 6+2? And could you connect the 6+2 pin and then the other 6+2 gpu cable one to the Pci-e slot on psu and other to the cpu slot on psu?
Is it safe to gently bend the sata cable? My ssd mounts at the back panel and the cable wire, due to its L shape nature, wont let my ssd mount properly to its plate. Im thinking either move my ssd (which i dont know where to relocate it) or buy an adapter that fits the space.
Got this PSU and it's so loud. Isn't the fan supposed to be on the bottom? I read that flipping the fan to point upwards solved the issue for some people. Considering a refund.
@jojococo studio Great video! I just bought the same case today and I'm looking forward to modding it. I do have a question though. How is the airflow and temps in your case, it seems a little cramped in there? Also, do you know if it is still possible to fit an optical drive if you have a 240mm radiator mounted on the top?
+Bruce Liu thanks for watching! The air flow is excellent my CPU temp (using aio and rad in front) is always under 30 degrees celsius when idle and my mobo temp is around the high 20s or low 30 ish. I cannot answer about the optical drive with radiator on top of the case as I don't have an optical drive installed. If that doesn't work out, maybe you can put the rad in front?
That encouraging to hear. Do you know if the case came with a 5.25" bracket by any chance? Sorry for all the questions; the case still hasn't shipped yet so I can cancel it if necessary. Btw, I think you should do a video where you go over your build in detail and give us some 360 degree shots and maybe some benchmarks. Thanks!
+Bruce Liu hey, the case does not come with 5.25" bracket it only comes with 2.5 and 3.5. However you can check out if cooler master sells 5.25 brackets (not sure if they have). But make sure it fits in the case too!
Hello i want to ask , the PCI-E cable 6+2 pin is provided with another looped 6+2 pin , can i use only one of that ( 6+2pin + looped 6+2pin) to power my 1080 Ti Strix? or do i have to use 2 of 6+2 pin cable? because this takes a lot of space..
Hey i was planning to build pc with this PSU. Can it handle ryzen 7 2700x with 1060 gpu and few other necessary latest components along with 6 RGB fans ?
Ok I have a question. I have a similar PSU, the CX450M and I’m using a GTX 1060 6gb (ZOTAC AMP Edition to be exact) and the GPU takes a 6 PIN but on the PSU there is a 6+2 pin that says PCI-E and an 4+4 pin that says CPU, which plug do I use to power my GPU?
Google wattage calculator and figure out how much watts you need, as for the quality of this GREY labeled CX series PSU its good just try and avoid the green labeled ones
Only problem with this Corsair PSU is that Corsair cheaped-out and used a sleeved bearing fan....not a higher quality ball bearing fan (30,000 vs 40,000 hours MTBF, respectively).
Thank god corsair gave us a break from those ketchup and Mustard sause cables
But still included molex its a + 👌
picking this up tomorrow, goodbye ketchup and mustard cables!
haha
Finally a budget black cabled PSU
I wouldnt really call it budget
@@hwstar9416 55 in Amazon.uk so pretty budget

Will it be stable on the Gigabyte radeaon 5700X?
Thanks for the video! I have this exact PSU, and I honestly didn't know it was 80+ Bronze rated! It doesn't say it anywhere on the unit. Now I know.

Hello. I received a 16 amp power cord which I can't use in my country. Can I use the 10 amp cord from the previous Psu?
