In defense of Seth's silver medal. In his first sumo tourny he placed 2nd. And who won gold? Sensei Seth's sensei. Yeah Seth got 2nd in his first tournament where the guy who taught him Sumo was competing.
Eddie is 6'3" and 340lbs not only a world's strongest man, but the FIRST person to EVER deadlift over 1100lbs or 500kg!!! And a funny and great guy too!!
The United Kingdom is made up of Great Britain (the larger island, which contains England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern Ireland. Some of the islands surrounding Great Britain are also considered part of the UK. Anyone from those countries could say they were British, or they might choose to be more specific. Some people don't like to be called British.

Eddie is arguably one of the most explosive strongmen ever. His lifts were always characterised by short explosive rapid movements and it was very rare to see him grind out a lift or technically finess the stages like a lot of the other athletes do. In upper body he was famous for his unique axle press (where he held the world record) as he never set the bar after the clean and just exploded straight through using the elastic tension he had stored in the position. No one else really does it this way. Likewise on the deadlift, he was extremely rapid off the floor and Eddie
@@deanthephilosopher9486 different training (more endurance based), more and different competition lifts and generally untested for steroids (though some tested competitions started to appear)

How Eddie goes from being beaten over and over by the smallest guy to beating everyone back to back shows Eddie's natural ability to pick up the sport. Would love to see more Sumo content from Eddie.
Hes not confident and seems genuinely worried about doing something wrong and hurting someone. Eddies strong as hell but he's probably not used to full contact sports. Good to see him trying new things.

I guess having the world record on one of the three big powerlifting records isn't enough to convince the powerlift heads that he's strong... Checking his other raw no belt lifts and other lifts without "cheat equipment" he'd be a top contender if not the best.
Don’t think you mentioned it but that guy he beat at the end was the Great Britain champion, which is crazy for a guy ho had been doing sumo for less than a day to be able to do that.
Since it seems you aren't too familiar with Eddie Hall or the sport of Strongman, maybe you can do some reaction videos to that? Eddie's 500kg deadlift is always great to watch. Especailly his video about how he did it and the toll it took on him phyiscally. Tons of cool stuff in general in the Strongman world
As someone who has completed in both sports I would like to clarify the differences between powerlifting and strongman. Powerlifting has three lifts: squat, bench and deadlift. You get three attempts at each lift during a meet. You combine your highest lifts and get a total, highest total wins. Powerlifting prioritizes strength over everything else. Strongman generally has 5 events per competition. The events often have ties back to the circus and are always designed to be an impressive feat of strength. There are honestly too many events to list here but they are often for time and can be physically very grueling. Something like a very heavy CrossFit event that only lasts 1 to 2 minutes. Strongmen are both powerful and athletic for short bursts. I would say strongman training is the perfect strength and conditioning for sumo.
I basically think of it as, bodybuilder: aesthetic(hypertrophy, chizzled muscle), powerlifter: explosiveness(clean and snatch, singular lift and drop), strongman: take the weight and carry/move it over a distance.
It varies a great deal. Personally I structure my training on 4 developmental days: squat, bench, deadlift and overhead press. Each of those days will have 3 phases. Explosive (box jump), strength (back squat) then hypertrophy (leg extensions). There are fancy sport science reasons for this. The 5th day is reserved for practicing events. This way I can go to my local strongman gym and use more specialized equipment. As I get closer to a comp I start to cut hypertrophy and focus more and more on strength, explosiveness and event specific work. Sometimes going to 2 event days. There is also bleed over. For example log is a great developer and event practice. Go look up Alex Bromley here on UA-cam if you want more ideas he is a great resource.
I enjoyed Eddie's original video, and Seth's reaction added some nice insight. I hope people are aware of (or would like to research) the absolute legend that was Chiyonofuji Mitsugu, known as The Wolf - a somewhat smaller sumo wrestler in the 1980s who made up for his lack of size with strength (he was very muscly) and perfect technique, tactics, and warrior spirit to become one of the most dominant wrestlers of recent times... Eddie reminded me a bit of his physique, although certainly needs to work on his technique, explosiveness, flexibility etc... I hope he sticks at sumo, he could do quite well, and I think he would enjoy it.
Lol.......Eddie would get crushed by the sumo wrestlers that compete today. He would have no size advantage, no technique, just no knowledge. He would not even make the paid divisions. He would have to compete against university students or kids and he would still lose 😂
@@RiverSpringer Well, yeah. But the thing that's not being said here is there are a number of "gentleman's agreements" in place to stop serious injuries and some of the more unpleasant sumo moves. Nobody slaps. Nobody thrusts. There is no nodowa. And, most importantly, there is no real tachiai (mostly to avoid full force head-on-head impacts which are common in real sumo).
@@syntaxlost9239 So what you are saying is that this is a watered down version of sumo that misses several key elements such as pushing, thrusting, slapping, head butting. Fake sumo
@@RiverSpringer I wouldn't call it fake sumo, just recreational sumo. Sumo without the CTE, crushed vertebrae, fewer ligament injuries and everyone is still friends when they go home. Because you won't have any sumo outside of Japan without these sorts of gentleman's agreements. Does that mean they could compete with Makuuchi wrestlers? No, of course not. But it's honestly stupid to train for that and Grand Sumo will need to address at some point too when the Mongolian talent pool dries up.
Britain is Marmite. Australia is Vegemite. That's Seth up to speed. Also, Eddie Hall is six foot three iirc. And was somewhere around 360 odd lbs in that video. That's a lot of toast and Marmite for Seth to load up on to get competitive with Eddie.
“Eddie Hall is a powerlifter.” = “This McLaren F1 is a car.” Eddie Hall is one of the most recognized strong man competitors in the sport’s history Seth. Still, great analysis on the Sumo aspect of it. Fun reaction vid.
I'm 33 now, but in my mid teens me and some friends unintentionally created a sumo adjacent sport. It was 1v1, and we were playing tug of war with a baseball bat, on a full size mattress. If you let go of the bat with both hands, you lost. If you touched the ground outside the mattress, you lost. No striking. If I refined the idea, I'd want to replace the bat with something shaped like the top half of a bowling pin on both ends, and replace the mattress with a similar sized, circular mat on the ground. It was fun because you could switch from a tug of war to a pushing match in a split second. If you were losing at one, you could switch to the other, but if you're winning, you still needed to keep in mind that the other guy could swith tactics, so anything you did needed to minimize the risk of sudden style switch. Or obviously you could go all in on one tactic, and try to brute force your way through it. It ended up being more complex than initially expected. I suppose you might be able to include grappling/submissions as a way of winning/losing as well. We never tested that. Obviously the difficulty there is trying to execute a submission with at least one hand still clutching the bat. I'm fully intending on becoming a high school teacher, and when I do, I'm gonna pitch this idea to any phyd ed teacher and coach.
There is a well known Polish strongman, Mariusz Pudzianowski, who was at the top of all the strongman competition for pretty long time, then he switched to MMA and he had exactly that problem - he was getting tired instantly. Nne of the first things he did was cut down on the size - apparently its really hard for human cardiovascular system to support that much muscle mass.
Makes sense. Although, I am sure some of it was just not being used to it. I have seen people come from other sports that are in way more shape than me that gas out quickly when they started doing striking and grappling. It's grappling that gets most people though.
That's what Mariusz did after strongman? Wild. I watched some of his later strongest man wins and was in awe of his drive. Seeing his plane pull live was unreal! Not surprised he was gassed quickly in mma tho lol
@@dumpgubblin While he was never going to be great in MMA, Mariusz did get a nice one-punch knockout win over Rolles Gracie. "just pick him up!" lol when I used to watch almost every Japanese basho(when I lived in Japan and could just watch it live when I got home from work) I always rooted for an Ozeki(2nd highest rank, just under yokozuna) named Baruto Kaito. dude was a huge Estonian(6'6" 400lbs) and he would just straight up lift an opponent by his mawashi and drop him over the line, no matter how big his opponent was. really hated his knees gave out on him and he had to retire after having to drop from multiple tournaments, he was pretty close to getting promoted to yokozuna at one point. think if he had been around more recently he would have been up there, but this was back in 2012-2013. Hakuho(an absolute beast) was in his prime, same with Harumafuji and there were like 5 or 6 Ozeki.
FYI and very basically, The United Kingdom is a union of the four countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (as well as a grip of smaller territories scattered around the world), and Great Briton refers to the main island Briton, which are England, Scotland and Wales.
What smaller territories around the world? There are overseas British colonies but I don't think they're part of the UK, we just left flags about the place in the 1600s.
@@tonygallagher6989 Or the United Kingdom Overseas Territories. Yes, they're self-governing, but the UK is still responsible for the territories' defense and foreign relations.
@@Isambardify There are 14 territories. Most of them islands, like Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and a few others in the Caribbean. Then the Falklands, Gibraltar, Pitcairn, some others in the south Atlantic Ocean, and their territory in Antarctica.
Middle weight freestyle guy here, who believes experience and technique usually negates size differences, but only to a point. I once met a big strong man who could endure a rear naked with the hooks in for as long as you bothered. He wore several of us out by letting us choke him until we burned out. Then he demonstrated that no punch elbow or knee strike bothered him anywhere not his head throat or groin. He was like fighting a tree. When a guy gets that big, strong and essentially armored in muscle and fat he doesn't much need to know anything but hulk smash!
Strength and toughness isn't always directly related to size. I've had a submission by strangle on 4th Dan who was about 100 lbs heavier than me (never happened again). Another guy only a few pounds heavier than me managed to break lose, I took to calling him 'concrete neck'. Don't know how he did it. But I was mind-boggled. Though Eddie is exceptional, it would probably be like your phrase 'fighting a tree'.
As a weight lifter and just super super strong man Eddie Hall should have some really explosive power to unleash. I'm kinda so-so on what he was taught. Your training seemed better. Though it also seemed like this was all in just one day, so your teacher had more time with you.
He re stated that he's actually 6'2 but he's also noticeably shorter than Luke Stoltman 6'3 and same height as Larry Wheels 6'1. Another example Tyson Fury is listed as 6'9 but he's shorter than a old Magic Johnson, shorter than David Price who is 6'8 and he's height between him and Deontay Wilder kept changing due to footwear.

A mono-ii is a review of the Gyoji's decision by the ringside Shimpans, if the Shimpans say it's a tie/too close to tell they rematch, a torinaoshi. Eddie should watch how Terunofuji does business. Love the sumo content! I'm a Welshman so on your confusion: Britain is Eng, Wales, Scot. UK is that plus Northern Ireland (and all the various islands off the main island). Wales is it's own country with it's own culture and language, like Scotland and Ireland. You can refer to Wales, Scotland etc. as Britain or the UK, but we get pretty annoyed when people say we're a part of England. You have no idea how many times I've seen Americans that have either never heard of Wales or say it's part of England.
Well put. Best thing I can say to add to this is google Venn diagram of the UK or British Isles if you want an idea of the breakdown. I think a lot of the confusion comes from the fact that the British Royal Family is based out of London as is the parliament. Add to that, it is the biggest nation in the UK too. So, people often conflate England to mean UK and can use them interchangeably. Then trying to explain that the Island of Ireland is split into two countries of (Republic of) Ireland and Northern Ireland... then add on places like the Channel Islands to confuse things even further. It also doesn't help that in sports it can differ as well... Olympics, its the whole of the UK. Then in football (soccer), rugby union, and various others, each of the countries in the UK are represented... but the Irish rugby team is made up of players from both parts of Ireland just to be different.
I would _love_ to see an Eddie in Japan series. Sumo there is a whole other ball game but it would be awesome to see him immersed in 'the real deal'. (Yes Theory got to visit a Sumo house for one of their videos and it was a very interesting experience)

Found Sumo online a few months ago. Decided to try see if I could train. Got in touch with the Australian Sumo Federation and now I am training. Training solo atm, but training. Sumo is awesome.
Eddie Hall is a national treasure. He was the world's strongest man so build himself for that. He was and is still a beast look at pictures of him at 18 it's crazy.
Nobody is. If you've never been to a real sumo bout, you've never heard the skullcrack that frequently occurs with a head-on-head impact at the tachiai. Rikishi train to manage the impact (though it comes at serious long-term health consequences, think American football with no helmets).
@@syntaxlost9239 that's great to know and all but it's not that Eddie is controlling the impact it's more like he's being gentle with the others cause he could really hurt one of them with how strong and explosive he is
@@davidortiz278 They're all being gentle. Real rikishi will be going off the line as fast and as hard as they can with zero regard to headbutting the opponent (which happens a lot). Slaps are also not rare off the line (see Hakuho).
Eddie spent a career training for explosive power but in a different manner than how sumo trains. He was training to lift and move incredible amounts of weight. Not throwing rikishi around 😂
I started following sumo after seeing you use similar strategy when you were in the Ultimate Self Defense Championship to great effect . I think being big, strong and agile is a great advantage . I would like to give this a shot myself
Pretty sure Britain is the island, and it includes the countries of England, Scotland, and Wales. The United Kingdom includes those countries as well as Northern Ireland.
Not sure if anyone told Eddie that he could also lift his opponent. Also, still love sumo with the exception that the rules allow you to lift your opponent on top of your belly and carry them out (since it encourages a sumo wrestler to be fat more than the idea of a lowered center of gravity or increased stamina)
Great vid! Just wanted to note that a monoii is a judge review, and if they call a rematch it's referred to as a tornaoshi. Would love to see Eddie compete, especially as a pusher/thruster!
About your question on Eddie’s explosiveness…. You should check out his events in 2016 world strongman!! Also his 500kg world record deadlift. Loved the breakdown and insight on what was going on here btw🤙
Scariest moment in that video was when Eddie and Deep were airborne heading directly toward that kid. That was a whole lotta man flying through the air, I think that boy's life flashed before his eyes because on the next round with Bangor that kid runs out of that spot as soon as they get near the edge.
Pro tip. If you have an Nvidia RTX card in your pc, you can try the Nvidia broadcast to remove the white noise of the background. This works like magic, but it kind of depends on your mic setup, so you will need to do a few tests. Cheers
I just started sumo a month or so ago, and my legs were SMOKED after the first session. I don't have a very explosive tachi-ai, so I rely more on my judo for now.
I'm guessing Eddie was holding back considerably on the smaller guy with the initial contact. I think if Eddie gave it his all and smashed the guy as hard as he could he would either knock the guy out or break the guys bones or both.
Another great video, Sensei Seth! 😃👍🏻 As for the UK, it is a nation consisting of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and Great Britain is the term for England, Scotland and Ireland-though some erroneously believe it to be the collective name for the entire “island”/piece of land of which all four above-mentioned and the Republic of Ireland consist. So, all in all, the UK is a nation consisting of four countries, but each of these is an individual country. That’s probably the most important thing to be aware of as Scots, for example, despise being called English. 😖 Also, some people are not fond of their nationality being referred to as British as this is technically not a nationality but a citizenship. Nationalities are Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English. Hope that helped clarify things a bit, even though it IS a bit complicated. 😝
Please break down more Sumo matches. It’s really under appreciated combat sport and it’s very fascinating. It would be cool for you to break down your favourite Japanese pro matches for instance. There other channels that do that, but since you are obviously pretty talented at it would be cool to learn more about sumo with you. PS. United Kingdom. So there’s several. United States. There’s more than one. It’s pretty easy. Wales is the most important kingdom like Pennsylvania is actually pretty much USA. Rest of them you learn to remember as you go along. PPS. EU is not same as France
Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Island are all part of the British Isles also known as Britain or the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Often shortened to Britain or The United Kingdom (Uk). Americans often use Britain as an interchangeable word for England which is why describing an English accent as a British accent is a bit of a misnomer as a British accent is also a Scottish, Irish or Welsh accent which Americans often identify as separate distinct things.
England, Wales, and Scotland are all countries on the Island of Briton, so they are all British. and under English rule (for the most part) Ireland is strictly Irish except for the area of Northern Ireland which is part of England I think this is correct I am from the states so if wrong please correct
The British Isles is a set of islands off the coast of France, the largest of which is Great Britain, which is formed of countries: England, Wales, and Scotland. The second largest is the Island of Ireland, which contains two countries: the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (which is relatively small). There are other smaller islands too which are mostly owned by the various countries of the British Isles. The United Kingdom is like a country of countries, containing all three of the countries of Great Britain (England, Wales, Scotland) plus Northern Ireland. The UK is really like the 'official' country. There is political alignment across the UK, for example, all countries of the UK are subject to UK parliament/law which is based in London. However, there is also some amount of devolvement to Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland is a completely separate country from the UK subject to its own law/governance.
The name of the actual island that England, Scotland and Wales are on is Britain. Mostly, when people say Britain these days (or Great Britain), they are saying it in reference to the United Kingdom as a whole. This includes England, Scotland, Wales and northern Ireland. Yes, there are whales off the coast of Wales. Great video, as usual!
Great to watch, and fun. I hadn't realised there was so much to Sumo until i saw some of your videos. And yes the UK, Great Britain, the British Isles and England are different. UK= Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England British Isles includes the islands, some 6,000 of them. Includes the UK and Eire (Republic of Ireland). Great Britain is the largest island in the British Isles and includes mainland Scotland, England and Wales. And England is a country as are Wales and Scotland. Each of these has their own capital city, flag, national day, football team (translation -"soccer"). I had to go to a police station in Jordan to get a visa extension and the police asked me to describe the difference. Not sure what would have happened if I had got it wrong (probably nothing, they were friendly, but it did feel like a test). And Eddie had a great attitude.
In all the things Eddie tries he works very hard on structure and dialing in the basic movements. That's the strongman competitor, because if anything is structurally a little off it could mean things failing under *VERY* heavy loads.
Great Britain is an island consisting of England, Scotland and Wales. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) is the nation consisting of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
English or British. Virginian or American. You wouldn’t call someone from Missouri a Virginian. American is everybody, British is too. A Scottish person is not English.
13:45 this reminds me of hockey hits in the NHL. Many players can land hits and push others around, but there are a select few (I remember Milan Lucic and Dustin Byfuglien) who are absolute rock golems. They throw you around and they do not budge.
In WSM they did two as far as I mind sumo events, once in the 80s with Bill Kasmier and again in 2006 I think. Was great to watch, wish they'd do it again.
You wouldn’t think it but, Eddie is a really good swimmer too. Saw it on one of his strongman shows. He can actually move well in the water for a man his size.

NHK World has a good primer on Sumo terminology. The monoii is the judges conference if they aren't sure of the gyoji's call. They can uphold the gyoji's decision, overrule it, or call for a rematch (torinaoshi).
I'm *very* late to this, 2:33 but, Britain is the island where England, Wales and Scotland lay. Though it's usually used to refer to the three countries, sometimes used instead of The UK. The UK consist of the three countries mentioned prior as well as Northern Ireland. Important thing to note, the Irish whether from Republic of Ireland or Nothern Ireland tend to not be very enthusiastic about getting called British.
Watch the video of Eddie and Brian Shaw doing the punch test machines...it's pretty clear that they have an abundance of explosive power they can generate. It's also pretty good nightmare fuel to watch Brian measure the power of his slaps with a guy involved with the slap fight leagues...luckily, that was a machine too.
Late to the party. Eddie also has what is called the "Hercules Gene." This allows his muscles to grow beyond what is normal for someone else his size. Great video.

How do you even train for strongman? Just train every muscle for strength and explosiveness?
Great summary, it's worth pointing out though that Eddie is famous for his static strength, and isn't the most explosive strongman.
To be fair Eddie was also a power lifter. World record deadlift
@@RiverSpringer Well yeah, he's new to the sport.
“Eddie Hall is a powerlifter.” = “This McLaren F1 is a car.”
Eddie Hall is one of the most recognized strong man competitors in the sport’s history Seth.
Fooking would.
Eddie Hall was the first man to dead lift 500kg (1100lbs).
Big Z was always better, wsm split and the strongest competed in the other competition.
@@dumpgubblin While he was never going to be great in MMA, Mariusz did get a nice one-punch knockout win over Rolles Gracie. If you don't know, the Gracie clan are revered as the creators of Brazilian jiu jitsu. Royce Gracie won the first ever UFC event, back when it was predominantly an attempt to find the most effective combat sport.
At some point it seems to just click in his head "Oh, I can just push them and they can't stop me" and he wins every match after in seconds
The moment he lifted 185kg Courtney clean out of the ring was skipped over in this video. It was brilliant.
@@Isambardify falklands
@@Isambardify Correct. They are not part of the UK. They are the British Overseas Territories.
Eddie is the tallest short looking man. Its amazing he is 6'3" and looks short.
Oh man!! Sumo is something that Seth can strongly become a champion in. Karate to Sumo, following that Japanese lineage. Good man. The Beast doing this shows just how technical sumo can be
A mono-ii is a review of the Gyoji's decision by the ringside Shimpans, if the Shimpans say it's a tie/too close to tell they rematch, a torinaoshi.
Eddie should watch how Terunofuji does business. Double arm lock and lift. He could win matches so easily with his size and strength doing that.
edited to clarify it's a review of the Gyoji's decision, not the Gyoji
England, Scotland and Wales are the three countries that make up Great Britain. UK is short for United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Love the sumo content! I'm a Welshman so on your confusion:
Britain is Eng, Wales, Scot.
Another great video!
You enjoy this sumo stuff...that's obvious and lovely!
You mentioned Ted Lasso (Incredible tv!)....I'm assuming you've seen the netflix show about sumo SANCTUARY...it's also brilliant TV.
Anyway...thank you for another brilliant Video!
Watching it from 100 miles south of Saigon in Vietnam.
Ah, sumo, very nice. I've been a fan for years. Netflix has a good drama called Sanctuary, worth watching. Liked and Subscribed. Keep at it!
I think Eddie isn't really going hard at the initial burst is because he doesn't want to hurt anyone
The conference is a monoii but a "draw" or fall together is a Torinoiashi and then rematch.
8:40 the "That's wiild!" sounded like JR 😂
I started following sumo after seeing you use similar strategy when you were in the Ultimate Self Defense Championship to great effect . I think being big, strong and agile is a great advantage . I would like to give this a shot myself
Pretty sure Britain is the island, and it includes the countries of England, Scotland, and Wales. The United Kingdom includes those countries as well as Northern Ireland.
SETH!!!! MORE SUMO!!!! AND I WOULD LOVE A KENDO EPISODE!!
Cheers
Sittin here watching this sore from my own local sumo club yesterday. Nothin like some good sumo!
Seth's roasting UK so baaaaad in such an innocent way, I love it😂😂
I just started sumo a month or so ago, and my legs were SMOKED after the first session.
Sensei seth respect for you talent in sumo. We recognize you have knowledge and skill
Another great video, Sensei Seth! 😃👍🏻
As for the UK, it is a nation consisting of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and Great Britain is the term for England, Scotland and Ireland-though some erroneously believe it to be the collective name for the entire “island”/piece of land of which all four above-mentioned and the Republic of Ireland consist.
I see your wife finally got her way regarding the background poster
Time Travel 🕰
Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Island are all part of the British Isles also known as Britain or the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Often shortened to Britain or The United Kingdom (Uk).
Americans often use Britain as an interchangeable word for England which is why describing an English accent as a British accent is a bit of a misnomer as a British accent is also a Scottish, Irish or Welsh accent which Americans often identify as separate distinct things.
Damn you Seth! I came for the karate... and now you got me loving Sumo.
Great vid! Hopefully this wet an appetitite in Eddie for martial arts. Imagine if he fell in love with Sumo and transitioned to compete!

Someone should create an "All Sumo Wrestlers Look the Same" shirt. 😁
Great Video, Love to see you try kendo sometime!
"Is Britain and England the same thing?" "100kg to lbs" Seth your American is showing
😂
Great to watch, and fun.
I hadn't realised there was so much to Sumo until i saw some of your videos.
And yes the UK, Great Britain, the British Isles and England are different.
UK= Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England
British Isles includes the islands, some 6,000 of them.
Also, Eddy Hall probably isn't tired, only a bit dehydrated maybe...
Good one 😂
13:45 this reminds me of hockey hits in the NHL. Many players can land hits and push others around, but there are a select few (I remember Milan Lucic and Dustin Byfuglien) who are absolute rock golems. They throw you around and they do not budge.
In WSM they did two as far as I mind sumo events, once in the 80s with Bill Kasmier and again in 2006 I think. Was great to watch, wish they'd do it again.
You wouldn’t think it but, Eddie is a really good swimmer too. Saw it on one of his strongman shows. He can actually move well in the water for a man his size.
CGP Gray has a FANTASTIC video explaining the difference between Great Britain, the United Kingdom, England, the British Isles, and The Crown if you are interested. Fun bit of history :)
Love these videos :D Your insight is actually really cool to see!
One video on Eddie Halls own channel some people scanned him in MRI (Eddie Hall Vs Loughborough University) almost wall to wall muscles everywhere
ah man you cracked me up, so FUNNY this one !! XD thanks ^^
NHK World has a good primer on Sumo terminology. The monoii is the judges conference if they aren't sure of the gyoji's call. They can uphold the gyoji's decision, overrule it, or call for a rematch (torinaoshi).
yeah that was awesome..... honestly was NOT expecting Eddie to win.... I thought the Pros would have knocked him down a peg or two :P
Do a video on Calcio Storico (basically Italian rugby mixed with MMA)
It’s just too brutal to get monetized honestly
@@senseisethreacts Me sad 😥
Watch the video of Eddie and Brian Shaw doing the punch test machines...it's pretty clear that they have an abundance of explosive power they can generate. It's also pretty good nightmare fuel to watch Brian measure the power of his slaps with a guy involved with the slap fight leagues...luckily, that was a machine too.
Late to the party. Eddie also has what is called the "Hercules Gene." This allows his muscles to grow beyond what is normal for someone else his size. Great video.
2nd place in Sumo? That is quite impressive. No joke here. 😁

This is the simplest way to explain Brits
England, Scotland and Wales are kingdoms (Northern Ireland is a territory I believe) that make up the United Kingdom.
The big island is called Britain. Britain, Ireland, and the others are called the British Isles.
People from England are called English, Scotland has the Scottish, Wales has the Welsh, Northern Ireland has the Irish, and they can all technically be called "British."
There are others like Manx or Scouse but this is already long enough.

So. It is officially called The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Broken into Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland), and Northern Ireland, The term Great Britain later served to distinguish the large island of Britain from the French region of Brittany (in French Grande-Bretagne and Bretagne respectively).
