Good morning from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. So amazing to see the Barn Owl perching among the leaves in the tree playing “peek-a-boo” with you. The Red-winged Blackbird is a common bird across 🇺🇸 US.
Though I have never been to other states, but having studied in the US for nearly 8 years, I did have free opportunities to go out and have some fun. As for watching birds, I recommend California coastline all the way from Sausalito down to Monterey, and also do visit Mountainview Shoreline Park to watch estuary birds. Have fun birding. 😉
Wow, what a rare treat! Congrats on that one. I "saw" an owl once, most likely a great horned, but it was in darkness, before 6 AM and I was mountain biking; no binocs. I saw the dark silhouette at the top of the tree and it was Hoo-ing loudly. Still pretty cool. Hope to experience what you saw someday.
The end of this video...I couldn't have worded it any better. If you haven't already, please look into your local Audubon group for field trips and events. In my area, the majority of the trips are free or pretty close to free and you get to bird with birders on all levels. I was shocked to hear you say you rarely bird with anyone else. I vote for Florida!
Unfortunately my county's Audubon Society rarely hosts bird walks at the moment. The nearest is about a 1-2 hour drive, but I will definitely look into them! It's difficult to subject other birders to wait for me to get videos of birds. I have met a few friends who have been really great about it, and each day that I bird in the state of Utah I meet new people! So hopefully there will be more adventures with people in the future :D Thanks for watching!
That's usually how it goes! I've been able to see them sometimes while they are roosting during the day, but we got really lucky here! Thanks for watching!
Such a cool encounter with that owl!! so glad you had a successful 1st annual bird walk! Can't wait to see what you guys find on the 2nd annual walk!
Thank you for watching! It’ll be awesome if we can get lucky again 🍀

Thank you!! That's a very cool experience! Crossing my fingers you get to experience that as well!
Beautiful owl! It's so cool that you host a community birding event like this. If I lived anywhere near you, I'd have loved to join!
Would've loved to have you join us! Maybe I'll be in in your area sometime and we can go birding!

Amazing to see a barn owl in the daytime! So beautiful. Glad you had a great 1st Annual BEB walk.
It was absolutely amazing! I couldn't believe it! Thanks for watching!
Man you have a knack for finding owls! Very cool Barn Owl footage.
I've gotten lucky lately haha. Thanks for watching!
Love your bit on the community! It’s one of the best aspects of birding for sure
Thanks! Appreciate you watching the video!
Only seen the Barn Owl once and it was at night so I didn't get a good view of it. Great video!

Congrats on the first BEB walk!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I had to cancel the night before, but I wish I could’ve come. I love owls, and it’s killing me that I didn’t get to see the barn owls with you guys!
No worries Josh! Next time for sure haha, although I can't promise we will see another Barn Owl
@@brighteyedbirdingway to go on picking the right area and spotting such an awesome bird. Really cool that you guys got to have that experience.
I've never seen a barn owl, but I have seen a Forster's tern. They are very interesting to see.
Forster's Terns are definitely interesting to watch. The fact that they can dive into the water to catch small fish is so impressive!
Awesome bird walk!
It was a lot of fun! Thanks for watching!
