That was a fine performance! It will be always a movie in my top 3. Master and Commander really is a great cultural piece and history lesson as well. "We shall beat to quarters!!!"
Fantastic piece by maestro Boccherini!!! It is titled “Nocturnal Music of the Streets of Madrid” and it was a piece that was impossible to interpret or understand outside of Spain because it represented the particular nocturnal joy of the streets of Madrid! However, I believe that, on the contrary, he gave us the reflection of that joy for immortality!
Thanks. And yes. Wrote that in the title. Get more views when I write theme from Master and Commander. Most people won't remember, "La Musica Notturna Delle Strade di Madrid" by Luigi Boccherini.
I absolutely LOVE this tune. It's brings back memories of when I taught it to myself as I started working on yachts back in 2015. I'd gone to the San Diego Maritime Museum the previous year, and saw the ship from the movie, and knew then that I had to run away to sea. Haha. It was nice to meet you Fiddlerman in Fort Lauderdale during that seafaring time.
"Pass the word for Mr Mowett" "Yes sir, Mr Mowett to the Great Cabin" "Their 'doctor' gave me this sword" "Sir" "Mr Mowett, change of course. Sou'east by east. We shall intercept the Acheron and escort her to Valparaiso." "Aye Sir. Sou'east by east" "And William?" "Sir?" "Beat to quarters" "Very good, sir" "Subject to the requirements of the Service..." "Ah. Well, Stephen, the bird is flightless?'' "Yes...?" "It's not going anywhere" I know I already commented but I love this video and y'all's rendition. Bravo. I keep coming back to this video.
LOL, I can see you guys cannot hold your laugh. At least it helped at making the video less stressful ! Keep uploading we need (us beginners) more inspiration from you.
What a delightful piece of music this is, and a great performance. It was absolutely show stopping in the film as well, fitting perfectly with the imagery of the old navy sailing ship in the vast ocean, off on its next adventure etc. It totally sold the movie to me.
Fiddlerman, working on the grace notes now...I know you inspire others to play. Michael adds a lot to this little video with his expressions too. Nothing but fun
Very nice!! Eskerrik asko, thanks, thanks, thanks!!
@@1stfiddlerman the main characters from the movie "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" and the protagonists of Patrick O'Brian's masterful series of books upon which the movie was based. Excellent movie, I highly recommend it. The gentleman on the right was playing Stephen Maturin's part (which should technically be a cello) and you were playing Captain Jack Aubrey's part.
You played this music as it was meant to be played. Boccherini would have been proud.
We appreciate that. Thanks for watching.
That brought a smile to my face! Bravo!
Love bringing smiles to peoples faces. Thanks for watching.
