Spain is absolutely amazing this year. Eaea is a pure masterpiece and a piece of art !! It's ok that not everyone gets it, however, it's the best song released so far in this year. ❤️😩
My winner so far and I hardly believe it can be replaced till May. 🇪🇸❤️
P.S. You guys are gorgeous!

Spain my winner ...I love it so emotional masterpiece.......
Spain is a clear winner for me..as long as they keep the rawness to the song, and don`t change much the staging

I dont like it at all... im half portuguese, half dutch...
¿Que gusta a todo el mundo? Mentira.
Punto
On the meaning of the performance:
- The song genre is a 'bulería' with electronic touches.
- The lyrics of the song is a lullaby
- The staging has been created and designed by herself. Until two years ago, Blanca worked as a set designer. She is not a professional singer.
- The staging is a tribute to her grandmother. The red fringes recreate 'un mantón de manila'. A piece of clothing typical of the Spanish culture. Simulates the arms of her grandmother dressed with the 'mantón' hugging her.
- The dancers also accompany her in the 'palmeo' and the choirs, with their choreography simulate a rite. Evoking the birth of a child .
Vamos allá la Blanca Paloma!!!. Winner alert ESC 2023!!!🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸

"Eaea” is the sound that a mother makes when she tries to put her son to sleep. The song is, so to speak, a lullaby
Perfectly explained the difference between Slomo and this. Two very differents ways to feel spain
ua-cam.com/video/pSlJGPmR-hg/v-deo.html
It is about a mother taking care of her children, my favorite sentence of the song is “my child when I die, let them bury me in the moon so I can see you every night”

Flamenco is passion, feeling and a way of expressing yourself with your voice and body. This is culture. For me this performance is a masterpiece.

Spain winner this year....
ua-cam.com/video/pSlJGPmR-hg/v-deo.html
The lyrics are actually an expression of a grandmother's deep and fierce love for her grandchild, expressed in a very poetic way. Blanca Paloma wrote it herself in honour of her deceased grandmother and the lineage of women in her family. The red curtain is inspired by the fringes of the red shawl her grandma used to wear (a traditional Spanish "mantón de manila") and the circle of white light on the floor is clearly the full moon as you will understand by the lyrics. Blanca Paloma worked as a stage designer before and designed the staging herself.
In the song, the grandmother is talking directly to the child and saying things like these:
Come to me, child of mine
Come and sleep by my side
I'll keep you warm.
Oh my baby, may they bury me in the moon when I die
so I can see you every night but one...
Tears from the Nile
Sleepless nights
Come to me my child, my little one, my love
So that your eyes like suns may shine their light on me during the night
Maravillosa e impecable explicación

To be honest I don't know if Europe will vote for this, but I'm so proud of this song and staging that I don't care. We are finally risking and sending something very cultural, special and artistic 🥰
Also as you said, not all songs in eurovision are made to be listened on spotify, this song is made mostly for the stage and performance.. I trust Blanca so much that I know she will do an amazing performance!

I love this song, please take a look at the lyrics. Yes it is about a mother and his child, is a lullaby quiet poetic inspired in Federico García Lorca poems.
Éa éa is what Spanish mothers say to calm their children while they are crying. The song tells the story of a mother who wants to be buried in the moon when she dies to see her child every night except one (the new moon day). The red strings of the staging are very typical in the Spanish flamenco costumes. Also the song has references to the poems of Federico Garcia Lorca, one of the most important poets of Spain. This is the most Spanish entry we ever had and we are so proud of her.

Greetings from here, Spain ❤️
I'm so happy that you loved EAEA, even if it's not as easy to understand or as catchy as Slomo. EAEA is very artsy, traditional, misterious, it's folklore. It has a storytelling (the song it's a mom talking to a baby), you should check the meaning of the lyrics. Also, the staging is full of references to the grandma of Blanca Paloma, who passed away. Paloma was a professional stage designer before her debut as a singer, she put a lot of storytelling on the stage as well.

Blanca Paloma freezed me, 12 points from portugal please, she is A R T.
Blanca Paloma's song is a play, a performance made to be represented and with the staging it makes sense, using Spanish (Lorca) but also universal symbolic references. It is an invocation, a call, a song to what makes us feel safe and strong at the same time, which makes us enter a hypnotic trance.
She relates it to her grandmother, to that maternal thing that takes care of us and protects us. The red strings that hang down and that she already explained reminded her of her grandmother's shawl, form a circle that is like a maternal womb that gives us light and nourishes us. She goes through that uterus that is fertilized (this is how I understand those hands that surround her and hold her for a few seconds). Then the miracle of life is done.
The moon is the symbol of the feminine, which engenders, nourishes and makes it grow. It is present every night except when it goes out on a new moon. During the performance, the sound “ea, ea” is repeated loudly and rhythmically, which is the lullaby that mothers sing to children when they are afraid, when they cry, to reassure them and give them strength. Nothing bad is going to happen... The dancers also imitate the movement of the arms that they cradle spasmodically. It looks like a sway of waves... Because the sea also lulls and transforms with the phases of the moon and is the quintessential feminine element. The base that sounds below the telluric song and the allusions to the heartbeat complete the visual and sound elements of the set.
This song is a song to celebrate life and a work of art. Win or not, it will not leave anyone indifferent and it will be difficult to forget.

Hi! The Spanish title EaEa is a ‘nana.’ It simbolises the sound mothers make to their babies to calm them down and make them fall asleep. It is a sound that all of us in spain find comforting and reminds us of childhood and of our parents!

ua-cam.com/video/pSlJGPmR-hg/v-deo.html
"Ea, Ea", it's something you say while lulling your baby to sleep. This song represents a "nana", that is to say, a lullaby, with a very fine flamenco style, and a very "lorquian" (García Lorca poetry) performance. The wonderful voice and presence of its interpreter Blanca Paloma, especially in the final part, will give it a chance to break into the Top 10...? Honestly, I liked her performance and staging in the final of the Benidorm Fest much more than in the presentation video clip in the ESC.

12 points to Spain for sure.
The song is about a loving mother singing a sort of lullaby to her child and stating that when she dies she would want to be buried in the moon to be able to see him/her every night… except one (New Moon nigh) The whole pack delivered, song, voice, staging.
Spain deserves to win finally with a song like this mix of music style. it will be the first time ever Flamenco buleria will be on eurovision. It is now or never Spain could have a winner with all this package with spanish culture.... hopefully people apreciates that and are not that negative to different music style.

Totally agree, I think the song is kind of flat right now and I am also missing that high. Although the staging and Blanca are amazing. Let’s see if she adapts something for Liverpool. That could really make a difference. But she said they don’t plan to change much because they like it as it is.
