I just purchased yellowstuff pads for my 440i i wanted discs too but ive bought Brembos drilled as couldn't afford it atm debating returning the discs and saving up a few months for the ebc now ive seen this!
Hi! I'm looking for these rotors for the m2 competition with the performance brakes (400x36mm). I can't find any information on the ebc website - can I get a part number so I can order?
I drove an Elise S1 Turbo Drive and a VX220 Supercharger and Turbo before, and now an M2 Competition. For me, a perfect driving pleasure car! Perfect for country roads and racetracks.
Those discs really look the part associated to the new rims. Please, let us know how the combo discs and pads behave after a few hundred/thousand miles.
Great brakes... the disks look amazing! However, I think bigger, red calipers would match better (original calipers look too small compared to the size of the disks).
Can you comment on how the pads are on the road, I believe they are a track biased pad rather than road/track mix? Do you need to get heat into them for them to work or is there a bite when applying brakes from cold? In comparison to oem standard pads i'm talking about. Discs look very nice indeed.
You'll be after upgraded calipers and lines next :) I have an AP BBK on my car, and I'm still using semi floating discs as it keeps the noise down a bit, as fully floating discs can rattle. If it was track only I'd probably change them up.
Nice! Good technical description - really interesting. Those bells are beautiful! Remind me of the purple anodised USE kit I used to have on my mountain bike back in the day!
Hallo Joe, how is your impression of the RP1? Can you compare them to other brake pads? Maybe the pagid rsl29? How is the behavior of the rp1 in relation to the brake disc? Best regards, Marc.
Hey Joe, can’t wait to see the review on the performance of these because they look awesome, always wondered why you didn’t order the brake upgrade from stock now I know why.
You should give it more power like 510BHP and give it aluminium/ carbon body panels for weight reduction and a better launch control system. Also strip the back seats for further weight loss.
@@JoeAchilles1 I am a teenager and watch you that is my opinion if I had a M2. Love your vids especially with Mat. Did you know the M8 did the 1/4 mile in 10.8 seconds. I am a BMW fanboy like you.
As nice as these are looks wise, if you're a track regular these are only worth it if the cost of replacement rotors is significantly cheaper than oem discs.
Unfortunately we don’t have a 2 piece floating disc in standard size, however if it’s an M3 you have we do have an oversize BBK available check it out here. - ebcbrakesdirect.com/balanced-big-brake-kits/bmw/m3-e46/3.2-2000-2007/27000006
Interesting video. I’ve just bought new discs/pads (Brembo) via AUTODOC due to not wishing to pay OEM prices. Was quoted near £1400 from dealership. At present the M sport noise squeak/squeal at crawling/parking speeds has stopped too 👍🏻
@@scitec6166 Fallen apart after 200 miles gentle driving. It was crumbled in pieces. Also the brake feel was soft, and the stopping power was worse than OEM Volvo. First impression was good because the bed in coating on them. Very nice cold bite, good pedal feel. After the coating came off, it was a nightmare. I contacted EBC, they wanted to send me another replacement Yellow stuff, but I told them no. Please send the Ceramic Red stuff to try later. But now I running with ATE Ceramic and it is very very good with almost no brake dust!
Thanks for coming over to see us, Joe! We hope you enjoy your brake upgrade!
Absolute pleasure guys, loved the entire day! Been getting loads of love re the brakes, starting to feel very strong now too 👌❤️👊

what about the road use in EU/Germany?
Do you guys provide a ABE or Tüv certificate?
regards from Germany
What price for the discs?

My only criticism is too many colours going on under the arch now, colour match the Calipers to the bell housings. 👍🏼
That 1M is absolutely stunning
Sold my Lotus Elise S today
Seriously thinking about a new M2 Comp before they stop making them 👌🏻
They won't stop making the M2 but there's a chance BMW will start fitting 4 cylinders in everything below the M3/M4.

Do it!
0:47 watch the kidneys getting bigger and bigger from right to left 🤢( old to new)
Great video Joe, thanks for sharing it with us
The M2 looks amazing, a proper beast.

Great to see some proper engineering and manufacturing being carried out in the UK. Those brakes look lovely.
Absolutely agree, I was quite blown away 👌
For sale - front disc and pad from an M2 Comp. Excellent condition, never been raced or tracked.
hahah
A lot of precision engineering 👍

Might be worth mentioning the RP1 pad is illegal for road use in Europe. As stated on the EBC website.
It’s good to see this kind of video thanks
Rp1 track only compound? Looks amazing, when my stock front rotors give up will probably go with the EBC floating
My yellow stuff pads delaminated after 500 miles, would never use them again.
Same here, replaced with ATE Ceramics, much better cold bite and pedal feel. Also no brake dust.
Had the disc an yellow pads on my S4 didn't rate them
Great video, was there a difference in weight between the OE disc and the EBC disc?
How on earth do you remove those m8 grub screws, mine are ceased solid and the only option I have is to drill them out
So you mention floating discs, aren't the stock discs floating too ?
Great set up 👍👍👍

my disks have both holes and lines in it... is that good
Nice! Good technical description - really interesting. Those bells are beautiful! Remind me of the purple anodised USE kit I used to have on my mountain bike back in the day!
Thanks man! That's hilarious that you mention USE, I said exactly that and Hope etc back in the late 90's 😂👌🙌
Also made me think of the Cook Bros cranks, the control tech ti skewers, the ringle cage... and a matching DCD if you were lucky!

How does EBC come pair to Brembo? Our factory setup is made by Brembo
What is the reference of your EBC pads? Thanks once again
Great company!
Brakes look awesome mate, we still have the stock ones on our M2 comp for now!
What was their bedding in process? never seem to hear the same message from different supplier's
Wow looks amazing! I just bought ebc yellowstuff pads for my 440i cant wait to see how they feel
They do look mint! Trying to find out how much to upgrade them on the old Gayman R but they don't seem to make floating discs for the 987 model
Not as of yet, but keep an eye out on our socials for release information!

Brilliant bud - the car is just getting ever better and fair play to everyone at EBC - they produce some amazing kit!😈👍
Cool video.i run ebc yellow stuff pads and there very good
Glossy or satin Black 763 wheels?
Awesome job btw
...I've noticed that you did not put the wheel spacers back on. why's that?
Yes we did

And say goodbye to my warranty? 400bhp for a rwd manual car is enough for me

That *M2* Joe is Banging 😎
How does it compare to Brembo?
Wow Joe they look amazing!! What a quality product great content as always 👍 👍
Are they any lighter than stock?
About the same
Jeez those look great. Ordering some EBC rotors and pads for my 10th gen Civic SI when I need brakes!
All I could find for sale for EBC rotors were cast one piece. Maybe these are UK exclusive?
If you email technical@ebcbrakesuk.com one of our advisors will be able to assist you.
What diameter are the discs?
Also possible for the 400mm roters as well on the M2 Comp ?
Not as of yet, but keep an eye out on our socials for release information.
why not change the clippers too I mean putting huge disc but not fitting the right clippers doesn't makes sense to me
Same size as the stock brakes
Looks stunning Joe - nothing beats a good set of brakes aesthetically speaking in my mind!

Wow... They look fab.
Is something similar available for the E46?

Great video Joe! Quality ==is mega. Also really informative
Them discs are beautiful!
The pads look surprisingly small though for a large calliper.
Also them stripy Salfords are a madness pulled up like that 🤣
They do these for the 2nh big calliper set up?
Not as of yet, but keep an eye out on our socials for release information.
Those callipers look tiny should’ve gone for the upgrade from factory 😜
Looks amazing!!!!
Anyone knows the name of the music played briefly there ?
Matching socks, I'm wearing those today. Car looks mint Joe
Wait, whaaaaat. Were you on the M3 south bound about an hour ago? Ive deleted the footage now to check the numberplate but i was on the Gixxer 😄
Great content 👍
Looks stunning
Do they do any for an F10 M5?
Unfortunately, we don’t have a Fully-Floating 2-Piece dusc for the F10 M5 yet, but keep an eye out on our socials for release information.
@@EBCBrakesUK thanks. Definitely will
Yeah........the return of the dodgy sock look Joe! I bet the modelling agencies are beating your door down. Top class!
😂😂😂😉👌
Look mega!! Get well sooon 👍🏼
Brilliant content as usual, apart from unfortunately falling off your mountain bike you’re living our best life 😂
these look great. Would they by any chance fit my E92 M3?

brilliant video mate 😊👍🏽 really interesting. I love how your M2 has been improved recently. what a car
I would prefer the M2 with gold calipers to match the discs.
Something about that motech guy seems fishy
ILove Titanium seems about right 😅 motech so popular yet such a small shop, i dont get it
Hating and being negative won’t get you far in life chaps. I’ve noticed a common trait in your comments ILove Tatanium. Grow up.
Odd question....where are the socks from? 😂
amazing joe !!
Unfortunately I had very bad experience with EBC Yellow stuff pads. But this disc do look awesome!
What happened?
Same, mine delaminated after 500 miles.

Would love to see you with a few Audis instead of BMW all the time?
Send me some Audi's 👌
I thought a good few people don't rate EBC?
1970s port star 🌟
I want on my M2..:)
Imagine having a tech work on your ride wearing a collared shirt and gloves and actually giving a rats ass about it
EBC brakes never heard of it
Lol Where you been hiding sell them at europarts
I'd have painted the calipers gloss black.
