【A3!】 Finding the Characters' Voice Ranges

- Hello this took 6 years off my life!
I wasn't going to post this yet, but with the new character songs being announced I wanted this to be up to date for at least a little while before an updated version would be needed lol.
This is every song as of ZERO LIMIT/Thawing, so for Act 3 and the 7th troupe plays, only the short version was available. Also, there are no live songs in the mix.
There are some minor mistakes (yes I KNOW I wrote Orange Heat and I KNOW that note in RESPAWN is probably E3 and not C#3), but listen they don't ruin the study and this thing corrupted at least 25 times, the updated one will be more polished but I am at my wits end for this one :')
All the chibis and flower symbols were taken from yaycupcake (yaycupcake.com..., although I made the specific flower icons and handled the formatting myself.
All music and artwork is the property of Liber Entertainment.
so my takeaway from this is that masumi and tenma have the exact same vocal range
They are quite similar

edit: i finished watching the video and WOW masumi's and tenma's range is huge
it's a little interesting to think that kazunari's vocal range might change, saying that his voice actor did too
also im shocked that citron's range is so small, I'd think that the difference between japanese and arabic in pitches would give him a huge range (my english speaking friend can speak in them both, but his japanese voice is much higher and his arabic voice is much deeper,,, maybe its bc we've only heard him sing in japanese)
i mean, i doubt the multilingual characters have multilingual /voice actors/ (noted by no arabic in act2), but i do think that would be case if so? languages are pretty neat, w japanese being much softer compared to something like german, generally
@@nxs5 It would be cool if Citron and Guy's VA's could speak Arabic haha but unfortunately they don't. The only multilingual VA is Azuma's (Kakihara Tetsuya) who does speak German!
kazunari's range shouldn't change at all, at least not more than anyone else's, since this goes off the notes each character has hit in a song. even with a new voice actor, he'll still be singing the same notes in the same songs, so unless he hits some new ones in a song his range shouldn't change. this is going off of the characters' ranges, not the voice actors', and I have it on good authority that most of the voice actors have much wider ranges than their characters.
@@catto5387 i mean, citron does speak *some* ara bic in act 1 surprisingly (shukran is thank you), and his voice was lower than his normal voice (not by much, and he keeps the same tone in the following japanese, so I think it's more of a tonal change)
also guy's va should speak english because he was born in San Francisco (though my grandma was born in japan and i, an american-born, knows more japanese than her)
This was super interesting! And it's a useful resource for seeing which A3 songs are actually in my vocal range, haha. I bet it was a lot of work to put together so thank you so much for your efforts

I don't know anything about A3, nor do I know anything about music. BUT I know effort when I see one, and this video was very well made! I like it.
This is SUCH a good video holy shit???? I know nothing about music but I sat here for almost half an hour being educated and being in awe 😍😍 I particularly loved the parts when a group harmonized and their dots moved together, those scratched an unknown itch inside of me lmao 😂
(I'm the person who also commented about Family Activation last night) anyway I went on a whole adventure bc I went kinda crazy over this... I only went through the lowest three's songs but Tsuzuru reaches A#4 in Meteor Trail and then Chikage flexs his B4 again in the same song sbdnfnfnf also! Kazunari hits both his lowest and highest range in Say You Kidding Me! He gets down to a B2 and then hits the G#4 again
this was such a cool and informative video!!! it definitely deserves more recognition-i absolutely loved watching it and i admire the dedication a ton! i was grinning like an idiot thru the whole thing

Thank you so much for making this video! It's so interesting to see (I did NOT expect Banri to have the highest note in the franchise) and I come back to it a LOT for reference. I wonder if there are any new developments with all the new songs that have come out in the past two years, I'm really looking forward to if you ever do an updated version of this!

That's the plan, yes! I know off the top of my head that at least Tsuzuru and Citron's ranges have changed so it should be exciting

Would you do something like this with this kinder Kazunari's VA? And maybe with stage actors too? (I noticed even Guy can hit higher notes than me XD I start coughing when sound is higher, even when it comes to songs like Kiretetsu Poemer, but I can sing Dokkodou almost fine...)
In the updated version I’m definitely hoping to use Tomorun’s voice for Kazunari’s songs! My hope is that the with the MP3 player release, his versions will be available online somewhere :)
As for the stage actors, I wouldn’t be against making a version for them down the line. Thanks for the suggestion!
