Wish they brought combo attacks back, kinda wild that that modern persona who makes the friendship between characters a main mechanic, doesnt let those character combine their moves
They're in golden and royal you just have way less control over when they happen and who they're between. p3p also sort of had them (the main character and one party member could occasionally attack together) so its not really a forgotten mechanic, it just isn't done in the same way anymore.
I also like joint negotiation where you could pair team memebers up in 2 or even 3. At first characters won't work together unless you talk to them at certain points in the game demonstratong how their relationship changes. I also really wish they let party memebers equip differnt persona, but everyone always argues wild card. You can still gave the player character fusing the persona for them, just let him distribute them through the party as a leader.
I'm glad you tackled these games. They'll always be personal to me because I was stationed in Japan in 1999. Specifically, I was living there on December 31st, 1999, which was my 21st birthday. There were so many people that thought the world was actually going to end on that day, or that the airplanes were all going to fall out of the sky. Obviously none of that happened, and we all breathed a collective sigh of relief, but people today won't remember that. I wish we could get another game like this today. Great video, Ram!
