Betty Howzer you meet on her ship. She's needing repairs / ship parts. Helping her gets her on your crew. Give her a bridger, some 40mm XPL and a frag grenade. She's dynamite in a firefight.
Yeah she’s definitely dynamite in a firefight with a grenade launcher because of her level 3 Demolitions skill, up until she turns on you and starts firing at you which happens after only a few minutes in combat! It happened to me twice and also to a friend of mine. We both ended up unassigning her. It must be some bug but she will definitely ‘Benedict Arnold’ on you and rain on your parade!
Build went quickly. Thanks for the clear instructions. Flight test went well. Ship is agile and packs a punch. I like to take over ships and this works perfectly with the docker in the perfect place. Deviated from your design just a bit. Don't need so much cargo so left off 2 of the cargo containers. That allowed me to move the gear back one slot and use the single wide version of the gear on the forward sections. Bit more aerodynamic looking but same functionality. The big habs give it a very open feeling. Good choice. Well done!
YOU DARE DEVIATE FROM MY PERFECTION?!? Haha just kidding. My ultimate goal is to inspire people to get into the ship builder and create their own ships. Glad you were able to reconfigure the design to meet your needs!
Ex-sailor (USN) .. Red Right Returning .. Judy's a cute lil piggy, with some HELLACIOUS tusks -- loved watching you root out the Snake-heads like tasty truffles!! Bravo Zulu, sir!! 😎😎😎
I did the All That Money Can Buy quest and killed people outside and it didn't affect the deal at the end. So I guess it's just that you can't kill anyone inside the building?
Yeah I should have mentioned that. In he beginning Mrs Eckland will guide you through the vents and you cannot kill anyone during this phase. Once you reach the outside up on top of the tower you can kill all the guards there until you re-enter the building and confront the CEO of Slayton Aerospace.
They don't require LoS when firing through other guns. I suppose I could have rearranged the cargo containers on the side and had each weapon mount on it's own layer. Btw are you Navy? Haven't heard the term Bravo Zulu since all the way back in my military days.
@@LastMumzy Ack. Well that makes it easier when placing weapons. I'm going to streamline a couple of my ships in that case. I'm Army (Canada) but I prefer using BZ instead of the typical "congrats" or "good work".
Awesome ship!! I plan to build your previous version first until I can attain those engines! Why not remove one of the crew berths and replace with a Stroud-Ecklund crafting hab which includes all of the crafting tables and a research station? Also what would have been the difference in using the Cabot C4 Bridge if any?
I do all my crafting at the Lodge so I can make use of the infinite storage containers there. I didn't use the Cabot C4 bridge because that small increase in mass would have put me over budget on my maximum mass. Anything over 4275 will drop the mobility down to 99. Currently the ship has 4273. That only leaves 2 mass left to play with which I plan to use later by adding a comspike and conduction grid.
Are you asking where the parts come from? The bridge and landing gears come from New Homestead, the habs come from Deimos, the engines and cargo and stroud cowlings come from Neon. The slim docker can be purchased at New Atlantis. Btw if you are interesting in this ship I have a slightly more advanced version that I would recommend. At some point while progressing through the main Constellation mission Walter Stroud will approach you and ask for help with a mission called 'All That Money Can Buy'. The mission culminated with you stealthing your way (with Stroud's wife guiding you ) through the headquarters of Slayton Aerospace. If you complete that mission without killing anyone, Stroud and the Slayton Aerospace CEO will agree to do business together which provides you access to the SAL-6830 engines.
@klondaykklauss9952 You need to choose to do the complete story after talking with Sarah or you won't get the stroud mission. You'll get a chance after a new ng+.
@@snakeater4969 I put three Habs on the top and three on the bottom. Using the Nova Galactic Cockpit. One extra 2x1 Hab at the end of each Hab leaving a gap in the middle. Put the Grav Drive and Reactor in the middle and build the ship according to the original design. The author's ship design inspired me, but I wanted more Hab space. I can fit a crew of nine or ten in mine.
These guides are great, but I wish they were console friendly. What they don't tell you is they cheated (player.additem) to get the parts. If you're playing on console, not only do you have to buy all of them (so a total cost would be nice), but you also have to source them from different star yards, so you have to look up where to get each individual piece. So the guide would start with something like "go to New Homestead on Titan in the Sol system to get the Cabot bridge and apply it to your Frontier or whatever ship you like - now I know this will look SUPER tacky but trust me, then go to Deimos in Sol orbiting Mars to get the 3x2 mess hall, then to X to get the Nova Galactic 3x1 piece" and so on and so forth. I suppose that would make the video longer, but maybe a typed quick guide in the description? Maybe for the next build.
I play on PC and I assure you every part I use was acquired by flying to each star yard and buying the item. I don't even have an outpost. I've spent an absurd amount of time flying around from depot to depot trying different parts to see what works and what doesn't. As to actually making a build guide that includes step by step of where to get each part; I generally don't like to do that. My goal in these videos isn't just to have people copy my designs (it's fine if they do), but also to inspire them to get into the ship builder and just play around with their own creations. #pcmasterrace 🙂

Good and compact build. Now my main ship, with a few tweaks, at least for a while. Thanks for sharing.
You dare change my design!?! Haha just kidding, enjoy the New Year!

Great build! Absolutely my type! :) Thanks!
Thanks! The shipbuilder is my favorite part of the game!
I just found your build. Great job! What weapons are you using? I couldn't tell when you were moving them into place.
Looks like 6x Vanguard Autoprojector Obliterators, 4x PBO-175 Auto Helion Beams and 4x PB-300 Alpha Beams

Love the Nova Galactic Cabot bridge.
I'm curious though regarding the weapons... don't they each require LOS?
Very Smart build! Bravo Zulu!

Looks cool
May I suggest Eric Von Prince; Marika Boros; or Amelia Earhart for your final crew slots.
Hmm don't think I have Ric Von Prince. I"ll have to look into that.
Лучший многоцелевой корабль. 👍

how did you get such an engine? on NG+

I made the Capybara but, I gave it extra Habs.
That's basically what I was trying to do with this ship; give it more hab space. This one now has room for seven 2x1 habs. Thanks for watching!
Please I would like to know how many extra habs you added, where/how you placed them, and how does the ship exterior look like afterwards.
