Great video brother all these little details are what makes a car a show stopper. I'm learning a lot. My next build will be a Trans Am clone. Thank you for sharing your knowledge this is excellent 👍
And your next car will be awesome in the collection!
It’s all the little things that’s makes a good car great!
I could not agree more.
Man! You are a master! I would never even think about all these little details!
It’s experience and looking for the things that will help make it look better. Then sharing it so we can all get better
Jon, your fitment is above and beyond! Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing. God bless
You can see how quickly
It can be done too. So those few minutes are well spent to make it look a step up then the rest.
Another detail that goes above a beyond. I will be looking at those scoops on show cars from now on. Great tips to be used on spoilers too. The bird is looking great.
I do like attention to details! I have already patched up the spoiler for this car as well used the same process
Can't wait to see this car done! Wow going to be a looker....
You and me both!
Nothing a little grinder action can't put the whoop to! Great vid, THX!
You got that right!
More gooder!! Indeed!! 🎉❤
👍
Nice job John on making repop parts fit gooder.
Thanks 👍
A craftsman!
Much appreciated
sometimes you gotta destroy a piece to make it gooder....lol. Fine work Jon!
Precisely!
That da sander is a beast
It’s been a great investment, love this thing.
Great lunchtime content....thanks for the tips....🔧🔧👍
Glad to help make
Lunch gooder
👍👍👍👍it's going to look awesome
I think so too!
Great vlog John!! You do very nice work!! Keep it up!!👍🏽
Thank you! Will do!
Looking good!
Thanks!
Great content Jon. I am hoping you will eventually do a segment on the "tubes" that run from those scoops to the air filter. I have looked and found noting on UA-cam U on how that whole ram air system really works.
That's the plan! I have the tubes and all the ram air parts in a box already to go. I have yet to find a Kit that has all you
Need as well. So part of the video will include all the parts you need to assemble it as well
Gooder? I think you mean Goodly. 😀
Exactomundo!
I wish that mine had been done that way! Same profile as you started with. I haven't seen a factory version in along time and can't remember how they fit. Does sanded fiberglass not make you itch! Laughing! Great Job! 👍
From what I have seen the factory ones are more level with the hood like that finished product. I wish I had found these
Fiberglass ones when I did my car, I don’t like how they stick up on mine. Fortunately I don’t have a reaction to fiberglass.
installed mine when i fit them and did the glass work while they were installed
Yup that’s the way to do. Test fitting every thing is important
One of the most detailed well done how-to channels on UA-cam. All your videos are great. Do you do body work for a living or are you a DIYer?
Wow much appreciated, I just do this for fun, been rebuilding cars for almost 30 years mostly Pontiacs. Never did it as my daily job I fear I would end up no longer liking it.
Jon, I'm going to start calling you "Mr.Wizard". I thought at first, you just ruined the part (sanding through it). How did you foresee the way it would come out? Great video!
I did the same thing to the side fender extractors on my trans am, I hated how they looked and fit. The way I saw it was I had nothing to loose because I wasn’t happy with the way they where, came up with a plan to rough the shape in and go from there. Seems to work and now it will look way more gooder. 😎
Hey I just picked up a 67 Camaro and I’m kinda lost on where to start, it needs inner/outer rocker panels replaced and toe board and subframe mounts replaced also any help would be appreciated
I have the great pumpkin series on UA-cam it starts with doing rocker panels then floor and toe boards wheels wells. It shows a lot of good info on what you are looking to do.

Thanks I feel less lost now and I’ll start with cutting out the outer rocker and then move to the inner rocker and then the toe board
Could use as a mold and make your own
That’s not a bad idea.
Goodmark makes plastic ones
Interesting, are they solid or hollow?
Headed to summit in Reno on Wednesday. I’ll let you know. Jon did you happen to send out my shirt yet?
@@JazenAlldredge cool right on! As for t-shirts if you ordered it from UA-cam/teespring they print to order and I don’t have any control over that. I only supply designs they manage the rest. Normally 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Ok thank you. I’ll let you know on the hood pieces soonest. Have a great day.
So I finally got the inserts... the description says "Plastic" when they actually arrived they are like a pot metal (Solid). Good news is they fit really well. Hope that helps
