I remember never beating the first level as a kid. Good memories
Sometimes the best memories
Hahahahah thats so funny man. I know exactly what you mean
I felt like it was impossible to beat when I was younger! Lol I always wanted to play as the T. rex but my young mind couldn’t pull it off 😢
I always death in brontosaurus stage 😂😂😂
Ik I could NEVER get passed the bloody Sauropod herd level, I would always get stood on
After all these years i just realized how amazing this game's animations are.
The gameplay was really good as well. It’s sucks they don’t make games like this anymore. They spend many millions on each game and mainly focusing on creating a long a’ss story, with voice actors etc, instead of just creating something different instead of the same bs, it’s always shooter games and big open world games that someone like myself get tired of halfway through and never complete. Ps2 had the best games in my opinion.
That cut scene of that guy being chased by the Raptors was and still is terrifying.
That scream is haunting!
Crazy to think that when this game was released it had the best graphics of any game out at the time.
tru816indo seriously.
tru816indo This was the first game I got for the PS1. I was so blown away by the graphics at the time, I just gawked at the game for a while before I could play it legitimately
Oddworld might actually have it beat
it was revolutionary for it's time. music, graphics, animation
Yeah, this is also the very first PS1 game I played.
I remember this game as frustrating as hell back then.
I got stuck somewhere on the way and never made it past that point
it still is.
I never knew you could play a hunter lol probably only made it to the 3rd level or so
@@thiagogueri Fuck u bitch
@@oi.meunomeejaorampvp5846 what's your problem? he never said anything bad about you. all he said was how far he made it in the game and quit. you need to slow your roll and calm down.
Memories...i was 10 years old when I played this game. One of the best games ever. Tears *.*
same here:)

Same!!! Yesss

@@eabattlefront860 You in a nutshell.
O my flowers.....i played this game in 1998. I feel so old now. And there are tears in my eyes.
almost had tears in my eyes reading that, im 19 and can remember playing this game as a kid at about 4-6 years old miss it so much
Yeah..
yeah..
nice comment back
You feel old cause you played this game in 98? and the other guy is only 19? You're both still young as fuck.
Playing as the Raptor was the best!
Yesss
@@Mario-jb8ul t-rex vs People was difficult
@@SamiVideo.Channelt-rex was annoying and really repetitive, dispite how cool it was as kid being able to control a t-rex
It is until that god dam burning forest part
The soundtrack is topnotch
Interesting fact: the composer for this game went on to compose the music for Jurassic World!
Michael Giacchino, check out his work on Medal of Honor, its really good too.
No way! Good on him.
Does anybody know if you can buy the soundtrack anywhere?
Edit:
Forget my comment, you can get it almost everywhere it seems...
@@ICE039 looooooved his work back then - medal of honour especially vwas fantastic!
My Dad got this for me along with the PS1, and Tekken 2. We used to play it together when I was about 7 years old. He passed away a few years ago, but looking at this game brings back some happy memories! It's funny how something so simple can bring back some great times i had with the old man
I'm so proud that Michael Giacchino was the composer of this game and the upcoming Jurassic World :)
God i used to both love and hate this game.
breasthound I'm with you there, I could never finish this bloody game but now part of me wants to find a copy and try to complete it
Rachael Rodgers google lost world ps1 rom and there you go :)
thanks i'll check it out, but I swear I could only do the first level when I was young.
Rachael Rodgers me too i was terrible, i ended up using cheats to make me invincible
haha yeah that is the best way to get though this nightmare
I remember this game, it was SOOO damn hard!! I never actually made it through the whole game, but I had a lot of fun with it. I will enjoy these two hours :)
It seriously was ridiculously hard, even for adults 😂
Let’s just say the gameplay design wasn’t the best and that made it extra hard… levels could be quite confusing and the spotty platforming didn’t help. That Giacchino soundtrack is just as great as I remember though
I played it a month ago and I HATE the compy missions. lol I gotta play again.. haha
Thank you for putting to rest in 2 hours a game that I never finished in my whole childhood. Very aggravating, but nostalgic game!
I seem to remember falling to my death a lot in this game.
Yeah that sums up most of my time playing this game.
I think I killed enough procompsugnathids in this game that I could claim partial responsibility for their extinction.
Quinntus79
me too huehuehue
Quinntus79
LOL!!
Lmao this game used to drive me nuts it was so god damn hard!
I have a soft spot for this game despite being hard as balls.

i think you just had to know the tricks. how to avoid confrontation...i thought i had to kill everything in site
I loved this game, couldn't believe how good it was. Playing as dinosaurs, really satisfying controls (shooting stuff felt good), the grand, cinematic soundtrack. One of my childhood favorites.
50:06 - They really nailed the fealing of being hunted by Velociraptors :D
That was terrifying as a kid
As a child I was very much into dinosaurs and this game was just amazing for me, loved it.
I still remember i was faking a sickness so i could skip school and spend the whole day playing this...:) awesome times!
I died so many times in this game. Never got past the level with the stomping brachiasaurs, I think that's like the 4th level. I managed to guess one of the passwords randomly and skip to the T-Rex and also the Velociraptor stages. I didn't have internet back then... I still liked the shit out of this game. I was quite young though.
Lol same but I never knew what the password thing was for just thought it was like at arcades to to save games or sumshit
Yep. Couldn't get past that last damn Compy level either. Pretty silly design flaw, which meant many players missed out on a whole bunch of other levels.
I got past it but the Carnotaurus stage is right after that. It's way worse imho.
Bullshit
thelunn I will tell you that while it's been a really long time since I played the game, one tip I can give you should you ever pick it up again is that the Brachiosaurs (however you spell it) have a pattern to their steps. Each brachiosaur steps in the exact same spot as the one in front of it. Also, they step forward a bit more (albeit slightly) with their back legs than with their front legs so if you want to do it slow and steady just watch the front leg, back leg, know the pattern and speed, move forward past the stepping spots, stop, rinse and repeat.
"Back in my day, EA was a good company."
No they weren't, they just weren't as openly evil.
@@glenngriffon8032 they used to put an effort in to making games
I hate those poisonous plants on the compy levels!
Mushroom Head ieeee ieeee
Mushroom Head lol cute comment ^_^
So many times the Brontos would be kicking me into them, getting bounced to death between flower and foot
I would like to personally thank you for adding in the Gallery sequences. I was looking all over for these because I couldn't get some of them as a kid. You satisfied my curiosity :)
Remember being tripped out by the Dreamworks Interactive intro.
This game was hard as hell for me when I was 8 years old! Nice upload, this takes me back.
Loved the fact that they included a lot of dinosaurs who didn't star in the movies. The graphics were amazing, but the game was ridiculously hard. Loved it!
This game was so fucking scary! Hell, I never managed to beat the first level because I was afraid of playing it.
Dovah Viking seriously!!! I was really surprised to see the difference now! It was so epically dark and the graphics were dauntingly realistic!
Dovah Viking Scary???? Seriously you are afraid of DINOSAURS??
Lol I thought the same thing as a kid
luizfe torres How Would One Not Be?
25 years later and I still remember the music.
nostalgia apocalypse
Best Jurassic Park game of all time. This franchise had good potential!
this was HOW you do a movie game.
straight nostalgia
Hearing this music from the first level and hearing that T. rex in the background and it really took me back
Grew up on this game and proud of it! I LLLLOVED it and the beautiful music you have no idea how obsessed I was-that and wanting to become a paleontologist *.*
Love the prospective of any animal or dinosaurs life and you can't get any better with a game like this, its nature!
This game was totally awesome, I loved this back in the day, the music score was SO good and the cinematics and everything. Dreamworks totally makes great video games ! :)
Hard as balls, but this game holds a special place in my heart. Thanks for uploading this.
This game could have been perfect with a level saving command.
I think this game was released when PS memory cards weren't common
You could put a sort of cheat code in the menu to go to the dino you wanted you play
That hunter is freakin' Chris Pratt status! Diving through the dinosaur's legs and rolling around under stalactites and stuff!! Still like the T-rex and velociraptor levels better, but props for making humans pretty sweet as well!
I think the hunter is supposed to be Dieter Stark. The in-game character hunter looks exactly like the toy of him.
The memoriesss
I loved this game when I was a little kid :') I miss the 90s, best time period ever. No online multiplayer, no kids screaming down microphones when you kill them... ahh I loved it.
Yeah, good old times.
So much nostalgia. Really tempted to watch all 2 hours.
Some of the most underrated music on the PSX
God I forgot about this game for so long! I played it for DAYS as a child. Never did beat it I don't think lol. But had so much fun playing it with my little brother. I miss those days.
The music for this is quite awesome.
The music was done by Michael Giachinno who is of course composing Jurassic World.
Had a memories for this game now, I felt so old now.
Michael Psalm Me 2...Ancient...like these Dinosaurs...Me 2 man...
I loved this game so much. I used to spend AGES in the shop where they had the demo of it until my parents bought it for me!
That is so cool !!!!!! wish I could play It in The store as a demo lol
You’re beautiful
@KJ Dempsey
This ain’t Tinder my guy
My family was rather poor when I grew up but they still got me a PS1 and this game. I've played it for months, was a cool time
I guessed a code once. That day was crazy
thank you for bringing me closure
Absolutely loved this game when I was a kid , after watching this video I am so tempted to try and find an old playstation one and relive all my childhood memories of playing all the old games I think of so many that I enjoyed 😊
This game is one of the best games ive ever played, i remember all the hours spent trying to finish it
God the intro video for the Velociraptor used to scare me so much as a kid. That blood curdling scream.
Played a lot this game, back in the day. Hard as Hell.
And a giant bar of memories hits me right in the head, what a great game!
I remember being blown away by these graphics. Lol
used to have this game along with "Dino Crysis". When I was 8 that was MY idea of a good night!
1:47:32 - 1:49:36 So was Sarah escaping from the T-Rex or was she escaping from the camp WITH the T-Rex? :P
She was escaping with T. rex first time seen it never got that far still on compy
For me the best JP game done, period, and a ps1 must have! Still play it on my ps1 from time to time :)
This is a very difficult game since beginning, you need patience lots of patience, you will lose again and again until you get it.
Playing as a T-Rex is probably the best part.
I'm 18 now, I hardly remember playing this game. But I do remember just dying so much because I was new to the world and I didn't know any better.
This game was the shit. The graphics were actually pretty nice back in the day, too.
Just finished watching the whole thing, seriously man thanks for the upload. This brought back good memories. I also loved that you got all the DNA and showed us the galleries.
Thanks for a great upload!
this was 1 of my favorite games past 5 years, thanks for posting this!
I used to watch play this with my bro when I was about seven... best memories from my childhood.
I never got past the baby dinosaur stage :/
Never knew there where humans in this game let alone play as em...
Lol no save feature so if play like 3 levels die millions of times give up n do the Same thing over the next day Haha good ol days
MaxM3rcz i was stuck as the little dinosaur for the longest. When i finally beat i was so shocked you can be a human and even more shocked when the raptor and trex were playable
there was a cheat to play which level you wanted
Games like this prove the PS1 was capable of good graphics.
Yeah those good ol disintegrated pixels and awkward hit boxes.
The compy levels were always my favorites. I love those little buggers :3
Man, I loved this game to bits... pretty certain I still have it. Definitely gonna have to give it a run at some point.
1:52:48 LOLOL
XD
Do the raptor dance ahaha
haha
Slide at the end got me
Gahhh.. I'm only 18, but I remember playing this on the psx with my little brother and screaming my lungs out because this game was soo exciting, and very scary! I miss this game so much :'( the velocities scared me so much! And getting stepped on as a compsagnathus (or however you spell that) I love this game.
Ur not 18 anymore
wow, the memories of that first level are so clear it's crazy xD
I tell ya when you was kid playing this was and still is epic. From all the characters, music and intro clips off the characters. The trex camp level with the music is insane and the raptor intro is like a rated r Jurassic park film.
This game got mixed reviews because of the sheer difficulty as a platformer and the lack of good controls. I played this as a kid and couldn't get anywhere... Id love to play it again as an adult, I'd probably get more out of it.
Victor Echo i second that.
Had this on Sega Saturn back in the day. Never beat it as a kid because I got scared, lol. The great soundtrack didn't help either, it really set the mood especially for the T-Rex. It just creeped me out, but this game is cool so see now.
Rattmaster86 glad I'm not the only one who played it on Saturn.
the T-Rex levels almost broke me lol
Thanks for all the memories !
I love the score to this game! lol, classic...
You could play as a human? What the fuck?!
Played this game probably for more than 200 hours, and still never even knew you could go underwater.
God damn first level.
why you saying g damit for over a game. that is so bad man.
Brenda Boyd It's an expression. Jesus, what an overly sensitive age we're living in these days.
+Anti Riku Ignore the cultural prudes.
***** Huh, what?
***** Oh, okay. It isn't me though.
Oh I remember this one! I never finished it sadly, but I did enjoy playing as the Velociraptor, since I wasn't terrible weak (like the Compy) or hunted constantly like the Hunter. Nice to see what came after the raptor stages =) I love the music in this game too.
Thanks for the upload!
I loved this game as a kid!! I'd give anything to play it again.
i remember playing this as a kid and when i got to the t-rex part i looked in the manual to see his moves and for the life of me i did not know that the hell the d-pad was, it told me to press the d-pad and circle and i was frantically looking around the controller shouting where the hell is the d-pad, i though it might have been an attachment you buy for the controllers haha, i feel like a tool now but it was really stressful for me back then XD
D-Pad? Really? XD
Very hard, good job 👏
Holy shit it took forever to get to that T-Rex level. Nothing quite like playing as the big bad rex. This game was awesome.
By far the best JP Game ever Made. Loved it as a Kid.
it's Michael Giacchino who created the soundtracks in this game, he's also the composer of Jurassic Workd :) super !!!
I think he did Medal of Honor games as well. And the music from LOST.
I listened to his work before his popularity shot......
UP
Valentin Duhem he also composed LOST
I played this when it came out and remember being very impressed with both the graphics and soundtrack. Very well made game. Not sure if i ever beat it though.
...ok I can confirm i did beat it lol
Your longplays are amasing, keep them up, man. :)
This game is so underrated, the music alone is a 10/10. Whoever did the music for this game went so hard.
a remake of this masterpiece of a game...now that would be the shit
Yes! With better/more responsive controls, reduced fall damage and overall better combat.
It's a shame the Human Hunter and the T-rex didn't get proper boss fights at the end of their sub-sections the way the other characters did.
The Dimetrodon scrapped from the HH's InGen level might have been a good boss for him, and concept art shows they had a Giganotosaurus model they apparently didn't use. It would've been a perfect boss for the T-rex.
Well it's kinda true, but everyone loves this game because it was so freaking fun
Thanks for your advice 😊
Loved hearing this soundtrack again in Jurassic World.
Wait where?
I absolutely forgot this was the game I could play as a Dino and then get destroyed as a human. Thanks so muc for posting this.
Anyone else watch the whole thing? :D
I'm proud to say that I finished this when I was 10 years old back in 1998.
RAZRfreak so you're 30?
ControFIN 29. But close.
RAZRfreak With cheat codes though. Its okay. You can admit it, too. Cause I know a 10 yr old didn't beat this without them. Lol
I only had to skip the human ones hahahah
same here.. took me some time but i did beat the fucking game
Loved this when I was a kid,
I love that the Pre Velociraptor vid never bothered me as a kid...but really scared me as an adult.
The part where the T-Rex is chomping through seemingly endless raptors was really funny to me.
If you pause at just the right time during 1:20 the mail scan will say "Looking for secret messages? Congratulations! You found one! Though, come to think of it, this isn't much of a secret. It's actually quite lame. I'm sorry." Seriously.
OMG hahaha thanks for that! I love silly easter eggs.
My god, had this for the sega saturn. The memories, so many angry memories. Was stuck on the second to last hunter level, and I remember how pissed I would get because I was only so far away from play as the raptor. Also, compy lvl 4, f*** that level.
RivantCanton You just summarised my experience haha
I’m so happy to hear that I wasn’t the only kid who could never get pas the first level haha
True story brooo🎉
omg! th dude for puttin this up! it brings back so many memories. i never beat it so this gives me an opportunity to see how far it goes. =)
