The Astley Green Colliery Museum is a museum run by the Red Rose Steam Society in Astley near Tyldesley in Greater Manchester, England. Before becoming a museum, the site was a working colliery that produced coal from 1912 to 1970; it is now protected as a Scheduled Monument.
The museum has a Pit Whistle Tearoom and replica miner's cottage created by the props master for Peaky Blinders.

It was Clive, is this your personal account or are you a different Clive to the Rossendale Colleries account? I’m a bit confused, but doesn’t take much haha

Another amazing lark you two. It was just so educational seeing how things used to work and be worked, and I really enjoyed the museum part of the tour, especially the living quarters. Thank you for sharing these adventures with us. Take care till next time Rob and Collette.

An excellent video of somewhere I've wanted to visit for quite a while. It was a link from Threads that bought me here. 😎👍
Thank you very much, I’m still not sure what or how threads work. But if it brought you here and you enjoyed the video. Then it must be worth keeping 🙌 Thanks again 😊😊❤️❤️
Thank you 😊
What lovely machines. That would give me some lovely photos in black and white. My kind of vibe, but do not like enclosed spaces, or lifts. Claustrophobia is horrid, I hated wearing masks during lock down, I could not breath.❤
Aww yes, I didn’t like the mask as well, believe it or not. You don’t really feel a sense of claustrophobia. Thanks Annie, glad you enjoyed 😊😊❤️❤️
Thank you 😊
