I had the same thing happen with Lancashire police. A driver used his car as a weapon and repeatedly, knowingly and willfully rammed me off my bike. I was nearly crushed underneath by the 3rd or 4th time. He got out and punched me round the head so many times he smashed my bike helmet to pieces. He then dragged me up a side street by my hair in front of many witnesses. He used the remains of my helmet and the straps, twisting to garrotte me and tried to end my life. As I marked his face when struggling to free myself and get air, Lancashire police logged it as a "fight" and bullied me by stating that if I pressed charges, that they would press charges against me also.
Was he of a certain faith? I have noted Police will have zero tolerance against Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Jews, a person of no belief. But a very relaxed approach towards to infidels!
Welcome to Burnley 😄 I managed a town centre shop here for five years some time ago and watching this video brought back some bad memories. It's just not a friendly town! Many of the natives are unfriendly, rude, monosyllabic and just plain ignorant. Don't really know why this is but it definitely has that 'League of Gentlemen' vibe going on. Bloody depressing place!
Being from Burnley I can tell you there are the knuckle dragging inbreds mixed in with some great people. The dodgy ones are just louder so stand out more as in Manchester or anywhere else👍
The cops are worried that you might show them in a good light instead of scumbags who deny the public their right to go about their business without hindrance! W⚓'s!
Think about it from the perspective of the police man. Two men walk up to you both claiming the other attacked them. You sperate them and take statements, your shown a video of both men fighting, the friends of both men claim the other was the aggressor and instigator. You detain both men temporarily hoping that over time and with the help of cctv it will become clear who is the perp and who is the victim. Unfortunately the cctv doesn’t clearly show how the fight started. You temporarily further detain both men in an effort to get to the bottom of how things started before eventually having to let them both go without an arrest because its not clear who started what. We all know that CV wouldn’t have started it, we all know the guy in the wheel chair is lying but the police don’t know this. Could the police have been more polite maybe, could they have explained it better maybe but they aren’t going to be perfect whilst policing a town of unfriendly crack heads.

I visited Burnley this morning and had Breakfast with my wife at the Weatherspoons, Boot Inn. I stood at the counter and heard another customer complaining that it was taking extremely long to get served. He made his feelings known to the person who eventually served him in a constructive and polite way and this resulted in the bar tender asking him to leave. He said I’m not leaving I haven’t done anything and he walked over to a table and sat down. The bar tender, who I presume was the duty manager followed him to the table and repeated her request that he leave. Again he refused and he sat down quietly on his own without causing any disturbance to anyone else including the Weatherspoons staff. Within 10 minutes, two male Police Officers arrived and went to speak to the man. He explained that he understood they wanted him to leave but said he was going to remain seated in a peaceful manner. The two Officers then forcefully grabbed his arms, handcuffed him and put him in the back of a van. I was absolutely stunned! I went outside to explain that the gentleman had not committed any crime and it did not warrant him being handcuffed and arrested. The officer might as well as told me to f**k off. He wasn’t interested in a witness statement from me. They were clearly going to throw the book at the poor guy no matter what. Lancashire Constabulary are a disgrace.

Welcome to Burnley! This town was part of an area where Juliet Bravo was filmed in the early 1980s. The shopping Centre was used for filming on one episode. The episode involved police catching shop lifters.
Now then CV your cordial relationship with thr police has now been arguably compromised. It was bound to happen because they need to criminalise certain human behaviours to earn a living. This is why the suiting community is increasing. If they had got you and him to part suitably there would be no criminality. But neither would there be a box ticked for them.
It's a shame you didn't make it to Towneley Hall & Park. You'd be amazed by the architecture and nature surrounding it. Definitely a step up from whatever is happening in Burnley centre.

Hi all, 'independant witness' here. If anyone wants the truth, here it is. Prior to this event I had never heard of Charles, or ever seen the other man involved before. Despite your assumption I was telling 'porkies', I can honestly say I'm not a liar, told nothing but the truth when questioned, and I will do that here too. Let's see how long you keep this up before deleting it. I'm a photographer and was sat taking pictures of the old industrial chimneys. Unfortunately that junction has become increasingly troublesome with addicts lately. You arrived just as some argument had finished between them and two officers arrived on scene to investigate it. At this point you arrived and was getting in peoples faces with your camera seemingly wanting a reaction or attention. Most ignored you but some lads unrelated to the previous incident questioned why you was filming them. I didn't hear them because they weren't shouting, just talking. You then erupted shouting 'WELL GUESS WHAT LADS, I'M GOING TO F'IN DO IT ANYWAY'. A minute later one of the lads offered a handshake to settle the matter, and you shouted that you didn't want to shake their f'in hand. As you walked off, he asked where you was going in a way that didn't even sound aggressive, that's when you shouted you was going to his mum's house. He followed you into M&S and you was both wrapped up trying to hit each other. When the police asked me who started the fight, I told them I didn't see who struck first, the truth, and that I believed the local lad probably did after what you said to him. I believe you got a ticket anyway. I don't know how you are in other circumstances, but your whole attitude in person was one of smugness, self importance and ego that wanted an inflammatory reaction from people, and got one. Maybe it's an act and all just to create content that pays, I dunno man, I just don't see what's so hard about treating people as equals and just being nice to folk. It's extremely hypocritical for you to tell the policeman questioning you that he should be politer to you (he was polite), straight after you couldn't be polite to locals when they asked why you was filming them. You're the one in a position of power with the camera and a following, so why not take the lead of being the better person and reducing a situation instead of amplifying it? Unless of course that was your intent. In normal situations I'm happy to be a silent witness, but you tried to paint yourself a helpless victim to the police, and now your video is edited to the same effect. You may be making money from this situation you caused, but at least the local lad has kept his integrity by defending an insult to his mother. I doubt you'll ever return to Burnley, but if you do, maybe try showing some of its better qualities instead of seeking out its worst. I know this was an essay, but in the interest of fairness I had to be thorough as I don't intend to post further. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
I'm quite a fan of Charles's content, although I think he can be pretty unhinged sometimes and often forgets that he's not above the law. Anyone who defends him without seeing footage of the conflict is just feeding into this sense of invincibility to the law; context matters, folks! Whether or not what you say is true, thank you for speaking up! I suppose we'd have to see the actual footage of the conflict.
@@granolafarts389 yeah I certainly got that impression from him in person and you are right, context matters. I've literally no idea what his other videos are like as I've never seen one. @@davecarllawrence Thanks. This only a couple of days after Charles stopped filming suddenly when grabbed by the police after harassing two young women on Piccadilly Gardens. Funny how that video no longer exists either. It was quite uncomfortable watching this large man trying to intimidate a reaction from two young women who were minding their own business. I think it's time Charlie just went back to observing and filming rather than trying to start things to get views.
@ Dave Carl Lawrence Thanks for your input . I like CV s content , but regular viewers will have on more than one occasion seen his other nasty , bullying , provocative side . It appears inconclusive who threw the first punch and the cops should either have given both CV and the other guy the fixed penalty fines or just sent them off on their way in different directions . If Charlie has been given the fixed penalty fine he has the option of paying the fine or taking it to Court .
I used to love going out getting textures for my 3d work with my fuji camera, around North West, but I noticed people's reactions ( some) were like I was walking round with a submachine gun, and I was mostly taking pics of objects, people must feel threatened by cameras it seems.
"I don't think you're famous pal." 25:27 very professional from the person that is legally obligated to secure the peace, that totally isn't gaslighting whatsoever.
You can sue the police but the blue line scumbags dont care as they are not personally affected, they will continue to draw their salary and abuse the law or just make up their own laws without fear to fit the situation. It will only change when the cops are personally accountable and responsible for the settlement and costs from their own salaries, savings, assets or pension fund.

It didn’t look to me like they took anyones word. They separated both parties and spoke to them individually. Charlie has not disclosed whether the other party was also placed under arrest.
The police don't care about solving crime. They'll handle a situation in the way the causes them the least amount of work. If that means siding with a druggie, covering grooming gangs, turning a blind eye to drug dealing, targeting old ladies etc. then that's what they'll do.
I'm a famous UA-camr and friendly with the police, too often sailing too close to the wind, insulting the disadvantaged, sooner or later doesn't end well, karma they say

The perpetrator always tries to become the victim.

It was so obvious.

@@granolafarts389 yeah I certainly got that impression from him in person and you are right, context matters. I've literally no idea what his other videos are like as I've never seen one.

And that is how Charlie ended up on a convict ship bound for Australia. That goon Charlie was fighting with will be well known to the local Constabulary yet they took his word over that of a law abiding citizen . That is the UK in 2022.
Australia has better climate and beaches
@@lightwalker9879
Also treat part of their population like 2nd class citizens for a cold
@@lightwalker9879 They also lock people up for visiting them . . .
I'm a famous UA-camr and friendly with the police, too often sailing too close to the wind, insulting the disadvantaged, sooner or later doesn't end well, karma they say
You gotta start wearing a bodycam Charlie. At least that way you've always got a camera rolling to stop all these 'witnesses' from backing up others story. As soon as that copper started with attitude of you're not famous I knew it was going against you. Bet he's seen a few auditing videos and thinks you're there to create a situation and after that you're buggered
He could always put in a freedom of information request for the cctv footage, but let's be honest, Charlie veitch never records attacks when it appears he was or might be in the wrong, seems strange thta he records everything else but stuff that might be contravertial
@@gravelbags2479 true but a lot of CCTV is awful resolution and not all of the store will be covered. Plus there will be no audio. I understand your view but if he's in an actual fight how is he supposed to record it? What's the chances of successfully defending yourself or subduing your attacker with one hand while other one is filming? What useful footage would you gain while your arms are swinging around?
Conveniently; he’s never recording during times the more juicy ‘legally ambiguous’ moments that happen to him.
@@gravelbags2479 This is correct, however CCTV requests come under Subject Access Requests, not Freedom Of Information.
I think he'd catch himself out just as much as he'd catch others, so it's probably for the best he doesn't.
Those cops look really tough. They are just social workers with degrees these days.
@Charles Veitch I'm pretty sure unlawful detainment can be classed as assault bro. Not sure how they're getting you for sctn 5 when it was the guy that followed you into M&S 🤔🧐 bewildering.
Don't drop this one mate, good luck and can we get a vlog from Burnley bridewell please 🤣👍❤️🇬🇧
isn't it interesting how everywhere you go you attract trouble.
What's the common dominator here I wonder...
He’s just offensive and antagonistic isn’t he.
Our main character must be some kind of wizard, the way he summoned those fine local gentlemen that we see @28:26
I'd bet the police know ALL of them. And I'd also bet one of them was/will be a witness.
I think this isn't over!
Hopefully a revisit and follow up.
And hopefully some auditors will go to Burnley.
Shut up you melt
It's interesting that the delightful lady you spoke with about what happened when thatcher closed down our mining industry, the lady didn't have much to offer in terms of how the town flourished post mining because it didn't, just like all the other mining areas, utter desolation. Same for steel, same for shipbuilding etc. Would be interesting for you to visit these former mining areas to see the decline. Come to mine first if you like
It's a shame the unions ruined most of our industry.
Ghl. To be fair mining in Burnley was pretty much gone before Thatcher, same with the mills.
They tried to introduce light industry and there's a bit of insurance, but nowt really.
Didnt film the actual drama. Filmed a library etc.. not the drama
I hate to see this from a place so close to my home, I'm sorry that this is what you had to deal with.
Get the cops number and name . This will be a big pay out ! Call AB he knows how to deal with them !
Its much easier to detain and arrest someone who is entirely complaint, than to arrest someone who is going to put up a fight.
Another crime 'solved', another statistic generated.
Exactly. It's not about solving crime, but ticking boxes and keeping the status quo.
you said it Burnley is for Local people only , only they can touch the shiny things
