Just when I resolved to buy no yarn for a new project! I like that color. It reminds me of beech trees in the Winter, so pretty and we have lots of woodsy areas here - even in the city
I love winter colors.... Up here in Michigan where the winter USED to last fully 5 months of snow and drab. Indeed...beech leaves, the off white, black and pale apricot of birch trunks; blue shadows on snow with the dusty lavender of raspberry stems...pale yellow snow in sun; light steel grey maple trees with lichens of minty green and light gold ochre. Burnt sienna cedar and all those evergreen foliage colors.... And don't get me started on the colors of the wildlife, especially birds. Yes. I grew up in the woods....
@ActonCreative thank you. I've been knitting and crocheting since childhood... which was 50 years ago. Currently working on a skirt to go with a new coat I couldn't resist - luscious silk velvet leopard. I chose several appropriate colors of wool, ended up using stripes of a muted copper rust, black, mid grey and pale straw gold. Colors are what attracts me to the thousands of yarn colors available today. Just last night I ordered another 35 plus skeins. I love rewatching historical drama like Downton Abbey and the Viking shows, always noting the colors of the clothing. Planning a simple tunic sweater inspired by a lady Viking...in cream cotton/bamboo/linen, with a narrow multi color trim of probably gold, grey, brown... We'll see. I have dozens of fashion magazines from the late 1800's and love reading the descriptions of some of their outfits... incredible inspiration.
Happy New Year Chris!!!!😃🎉🎉🎉Only the best! I don't mean to be a party pooper with Pantone. I was hoping for a bright, happy color for 2025. Mocha mousse reminds me of chocolate, strawberry, vanilla artificially colored ice cream that you would see in the supermarket. lol. You did a lovely combo of the warm mix.
I like the earthy one best, but I'm glad that I saw all of them because I'd have just gone with the obvious, Neapolitan. A lot of people might also do that with whatever they are using the color for. Thanks!
Nice! Last summer we painted my bedroom in your "chocolate mix" colors, and I bought some linen sheets in somehitng a bit more orangey than the Mocha Mousse, but otherwise right there. Not sure what I will do to incorporate Mocha Mousse, if at all, but nice to know I'm trending.... I like your warm color mix best! That said, I've been thinking I want a dark olive green and dark burgundy/rust color in there somewhere. Do you sell your weavings? I'm not a weaver, I just clicked on your video because I was curious about the Pantone color of the year. Maybe this is the year I should buy a nice woven throw in the right colors for my bedroom?
@@VagabondAnne You are trending! It's an interesting color, right? Retail isn't my focus these days. But if you want to try your hand at weaving, I'm your girl!
Wow- pantone has had some kind of blah colours the past several years. Not a huge fan of this one either, but it would sing with other colours, that's for sure. I like this one better than most of the past ones.
@@ActonCreative it's just been years of either shockingly odd, like neon greens and oranges or variants on greige to include last year's peach and this year's browns. It's been a long while since they've posted one that has made me say ' ooooooo, what a lovely colour'. I really wonder how they come up with them.
@@kayaknancy Hi! Oooh, good question! I inherited the yarn awhile ago. When I looked inside the cone, it says it's from the Brown Sheep Company, and it's called Milk Chocolate Chip. It's a wool/cotton blend. While it looks like the company still exists, I didn't see that exact product. However, a place like Cotton Clouds will definitely have options for you in that color!
Does anyone believe in a sixth sense in this area? I feel like I always know these things beforehand. I have bought a duvet cover, a t-shirt and pants in this color in the past weeks. Sometimes I'll be looking for a color and not finding it, to see it popping up a month later. I missed my career as a trendwatcher I guess. Nice color, easy to combine. Aqua, a blueish/greenish shade will be nice to contrast it.
Very nice choices. I’d pair it with the dark rust and dark teal on your shelves. At least they look good on camera. Mocha mousse for the win!
@@jackiecauthron-schafer9554 I like that mix! Very nice!
Beautiful color that would go with almost any color. I'd go with a peacock blue and silvery gray, southwest effect. Happy New Years! 🎉😊
@@marinamartinez6886 Oh, I love that combination! Nice!

Brown is an underrated color. Glad to see it getting some love.

I like the peach, red, Mocha moose. But of course since the mocha moose is basically a neutral any combo would work: pinkish purple, olive, etc
