"A teen-age moviegoers's dream" - Janet Maslin, The New York Times
When New England college student Natalie (Alicia Witt, TV's The Exorcist) finds herself at the center of a series of sadistic murders seemingly inspired by urban legends, she resolves to find the truth about her school's own legend: a twenty-five-year-old story of a student massacre at the hands of an abnormal Psych professor. As the fraternities prepare to celebrate the macabre anniversary, Natalie discovers that she is the focus of the crazed killer's intentions in the ultimate urban legend - the unfolding story of her own horrific murder.

The most underrated 90s slasher movie.
No no, the people under the stairs!
Kenneth Nunez that’s also underrated.
💩:::FART:::💩
sorry honey. this is a shitty movie. not underrated at all
Agreed, got me into the slasher he genre
This is the most 90's movie cast ever assembled. Rebecca Gayheart, Tara Reid. Absolute babes back in those days.
Which is Rebecca and Tara in the trailer?
@@scottdirkson951 Already at 0:51 There is TARA 😎, on his side right it's Lex Luthor of Smallville 😏
This and the Faculty and I Know What You Did Last Summer. CW/WB types took over the late 90s. Hot young white ppl running from killers and being hot.
Don't leave out Joshua Jackson and Jared Leto
@@yoni5570 I feel like we’re on the same wavelength. Could you recommend any more fun 90s horror/thriller movies like those you just mentioned, interesting plot, intriguing and... hot actors is a big bonus too but not necessary for me to watch the movie, anything you got bro! Thanks
Love the homage to 80's horror in this movie with the inclusions of Robert Englund, Danielle Harris, and Brad Dourif.
that guy who is a janitor too, he was in wrong turn as one of the creatures
Late 90s was the era for great horror films including this one.
Scream, I Know What You Did, Urban Legend, H20, Valentine, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, and all their sequels
@@yoni5570 Scream is a classic
80s & 90s movies rock they don’t make them like they used to anymore
ok but this film seems from the trailer alone with its mass amount of cheese like the one film everyone makes fun of in other films when hating on hollywood pooping out garbage to make money off trends and hating on horror teen films like when they say how lame slashers are..scream i know what you did actually seem timeless.this film seems so 90's and like early mid 90's around 1994 but its made in 1997 ...smdh its lame ...so corny..if it came out pre 1995 maybe I could give it a pass
If you actually watch the movie you'll see it's not cheesy at all.
@@StatiCRjm well it is cheesy, but in a good way. Like some of the later 80s slasher movies that were well aware they were following a fairly simple formula but were having fun with the concepts
I wouldn’t want today’s films to be like the 90s. I’d want today’s filmmakers to come up with new and innovative ideas for horror films.
@@razkable enjoyed the movie. It's pretty good.
This trailer is SO from the 90’s, i love how movie trailers used to be 😂
*ONE man* ...
If Scream was about urban legends instead of horror movies
Rebecca Gayheart in that final scene is EVERYTHING
MISS THANG!
Damn, i miss the 90's so much
I also forgot about the part where Joshua Jackson hears the Dawson’s Creek theme song on the radio. So good 😂
Both Dawson's Creek and this movie "Urban Legend" are produced with Sony. This movie happened in my birth year : 0
That's my favorite part, I love this movie. ❤
That was funny
One of my favorite scenes 😂
I laeghed the other say when that scene camera on
Jared Leto was the cutest in this movie...😍😍😍
Ha Sis 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
@@ashleyd4369ha babe
I hate that this got outshined by I know what you did last summer, it’s such a fun movie.
One of my favorite horror movies from the late 90's. Still love watching it on DVD. :)
I love this movie ❤
They should reboot this series with the most modern urban legends i know many people will pay to watch it.
they actually are rn lmao
Modern urban legends 😂. Like what? It’s 2021. The only urban legend these days is “ I hear you won’t get Covid-19 if you don’t wear a mask”.
They should include the crate challenge 🤣
Ummm most Urban Legends today suck ass... Like creepy Pastas doesn't work on a Slasher film that centers around 2010 memey monsters
Apparently Urban Legend is getting a 2023/24 sequel/reboot. Brenda and Reese are coming back.
Good enough and very atmospheric slasher! This is one of the best thrillers of 90's!
Scream, I know what you did last summer, Urban Ledgends, Cherry falls can't beat the 1995 to 2000 horror flicks, oh the faculty aswell
None of this movies came out in 1995...
Then the 2000’s were full of jeepers creepers movies and supernatural horror
U forgot to mention the one and only Final destination.
horror eras:
80's - classic slasher
90's - meta
00's - torture porn
10's - haunted house / possession
@@Smile-hk7vd 20s- woke/ obsession with representation 😂
It’s actually not a bad movie. I watched it tonight and didn’t skip a bit. It’s similar to scream and it’s a common theme so it was predictable but it’s quite fast pace so u don’t get bored
Exactly ❤
25th anniversary next year. Scream Factory, please give us a 4K! 🙏🥰😎
This movie's creative process: "Hey guys, you saw how that movie Scream blew up the theaters? Let's do that one but with urban legend trivia instead".
and lets make it a lot worse...like so lame
@@razkable bro your comment just made me cringe for some reason
Who else here from netflix? For seeing if its worth watching in comments
Wajih Ur Rehman Sethi Bro it is worth trust me ^^
Its one of my childhood faves so I cant really vouch it to be good but it still entertains me to this day
@@hardlybreathe93 i will watch itt thanksss
did u like it?
Wajih Ur Rehman Sethi me🙋🏼♀️😂
Thank you for the video.
I love how Freddy Krueger is the professor lol
I found that out years later when I discovered the name
Chucky was the gas station attendant lol
To me there were three big slashers during the 90s revival of the genre. Scream, IKWYDLS and this. And I really like the concept on this one, it has all the passion of a newcomer director.
dont forget final destination
Candyman.
Chucky films
I feel if you had to pick one of those three not to exist urban legend for 97% of people would be the one to forget about...its so lame...i would give it more of a pass if it came out in like 1994 and was direct to video as a cult classic but with its annoying cast an 90's cheese feel while released in 1998 on the big screen it is the type of slasher people make fun of in other films and fans casually talk about ruining the genre and being hollywood trying to cash in on a trend by spitting out garbage formulaic no effort films..seriously...the acting the lines the writing the deaths all suck..the only good thing about urban legend is the idea of its premise and the way its shot sometimes...but they fucked that up too cause most of the time its filmed horribly
@@razkable Yet it does exist. And that twist ending gives the movie a whole new meaning. Like I said, it’s the last one that comes to mind, because of when it was released. And it shows in every aspects. Also it’s the perfect follow up to Scream and IKWYDLS, for being a combination of the two, while adding its own input to the genre.
Halloween h20
The crazy thing is I’ve never been told any of these stories because nobody I knew ever learned any of them
A 1998 film that brought Freddy Krueger and Chucky to deal with a major threat.
One of the best Slasher movies ever!!!!!!!!!!
This is a good and interesting movie. Great opening scene and cool kill scenes. Okay characters too, wish the radio dj (the blonde girl) had more scenes. She was so beautiful.
I only see part where she runs and dies. Is she not big character?
@@scottdirkson951 She's not a major character. I wish she was because I think she's my favorite person in the movie.
Kiran Ch. because she was sluty?
Tara Reis was grwat in this movie ! and so fucking hot 🔥🔥🔥
Been searching for this movie! Finally found it! Ahhhhh so happy 😂
This is such a fun-filled film. I love it.
Forgot about this one! Can't believe I was 17 when I saw this at the theater. wow time goes 😔 great movie!
How old are you now ?
Right? I was 15 and i remember I had drank way too much vodka before going into the theater. We went to one of those $1 matinee showings in a crappy little theater. My friends were worrying that we were going to get kicked out because I reeked of alcohol and was apparently acting a fool in the lobby. Somehow( other than a group of 4 or 5 guys a few years older than us) the theater was empty. They ended up being cool & sharing some weed with us. They were hilarious and kept trying to scare us through out the movie. My best friend started dating one of them and now over 22 years later they are married. We're all still close even to the other guys who were there that night. Everytime I see them I remember that night and this movie, lol. Kinda cool met lifelong friends that night. Feels like it was only yesterday!
@@winterlynn9012 thats cool I always say sometimes you meet people or are put in a special place for that one reason! Sounds like a night to remember for sure. Lol seems like had more fun hanging out then watching the movies that what memories are about. I come from a very small town and still friends with alot of my classmates 90s were the best years! Sometimes I sit and just think about those good times! Thanks for sharing your story 😊 😁
I was 10 when l saw the trailer
@@winterlynn9012 Hey I'm Gen Z, I've been getting into these 90's horror slasher films. Can you recommend me some? I'm a college student, bored as hell during winter break.
Pacey, Lex Luthor and The Joker in one film 🎞
Ive never thought about this movie for a loooong time
I saw this many year ago and got flashbacks since it's on netflix now

This film is full of fake scares but still got me
This used to be my favourite movie lol
I watch the movie and dude this movie is so under-rated, you will know who the actual killer in this movie! : 0
One of the best movie 🍿...! Very underrated
That's nice, let's see Paul Allen's urban legend
I was 5 and obsessed with this movie
You watched a 15 rated movie when you was 5 then shame on your parents. I think you meant to type 15 right 😂
I've never been either of those things. 👀
90a slasher films are great
Loved this as a kid
I was 14 when this came out in theaters. I had the biggest crush on Jared.
Old childhood memories.
Everyone knows about Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, but this one isn’t as well known. I totally forgot about Tara Reid, Danielle Harris and Joshua Jackson being in this movie!
And jared leto
And then Joshua Jackson ended up having a part in Scream 2 lol
The Joker & The Flash in a horror movie, this at to be good.
lex luther
@@thewhatifchannel8684 Michael Rosenbaum also voiced The Flash in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited that's how I was introduced to him, but yes you're right he also played Lex Luthor in Smallville though I'm not a big fan of that show.
My All time favorite movie wonderful superb great. Scary
Tara Reid and Rebecca Gayheart stole the whole movie 👌🔥🔥 amazing performances ! Jared Leto and Alicia Witt. The weekest links ! I love this movie
Rebecca's was then in scream 2
Alicia Witt is terrible but it makes the killer more fun to root for haha
Jared Leto so funny to see him in this, he still doesn’t look a whole lot different LOL
Except for the beard and long hair nowadays
Love this movie
What the name of the song 1:46
I remember watching this repeatedly hahahaha. Got a cd
Dvd?
" the kind hearted blind lady 😎 turned into a PSYCHO " 🤩
Looking forward to watching and critiquing the movie
Wow the movie is better than the previews. That’s not an easy thing to do. Lol
Man. This take me back.
This movie was my victory lap when I finally "got the girl" in grade 7. 😎
And a casual 1 second sex scene is in the trailer, really? Lmao like "this movie is scary, it sends chills down your spine, "quick sex clip". So 90's lol
And danielle harris was in this too
best decade ever !!!
Yeah I still check the back seat before getting into the car
I literally find the vhs of this movie on my street and I watched it and it was great
So, I'm gonna guess that this'll go OOP faster than it should because it didn't sell well. It's cool that SF gives us a variety of all kinds of horror films...but...this is a real deal clunker.
2019 “Respect and dignity.” Furthermore: (Idea) (“Photography?”) (🔥🔥) • “Respect and dignity, 2019?”
We got lex Luthor, freddy krueger, chucky and etc in one movie nice.
Yeah freddy and chucky were in this movie... I remember when I found that out I was screaming
Love Brenda ending scene!!
Now available on UA-cam
Some of the scenes in this. Were not in the film.
Rory Roddick's memory museum brought me here
I hated how some of the characters acted, but the concept was pretty cool
When I first saw in 98 I love it I like it today 2020
I love this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the scene of Tara Reid using the same bra Anne Heche use in Psicose's remake is not in the movie
psycho not psicose
Is Tara blonde girl?
This horror movie was born on my birth year? Dude, I must learn who these people are?
RIP Silvio Horta
Who would’ve thought Rebecca Gayheart was the killer?! Great movie!
the twist was great
Whattt why would you spoil ittt
damn this was a crazy cast... when i originally watched it.. Tara reid was the biggest star lol she just did American Pie i think...i never even heard of Jared Leto before.. crazy i had no idea he was in even this until right now
This is from 98. American pie is 99.
@@artvandelay4373 right? Tara Reid was also inthe Big Lebowski
leto did the lamest joker ever in suicide squad
I remembered of the killer is but why is his motives again? :P
1:52 most replayed. XD
Awesome
How u swing an axe in a car? Also great movie.
Loved urban legend mostly because Robert englund is on it my favourite actor
Jade Leto
Superb movie.can't guess killer untill last moment
Have u heard the one about the microwave 😂😂😂why he sound like that 2:14
This is the most scariest movie on 90s
I used to be kind of obsessed with this movie. Haha!
Me too 😮
I don't even have to get through the full trailer to think it was jared leto, (it's his voice asking "have you heard the one about the microwave") lol
I always thought of this as “I know what you did last summer” sequel and Soul Survivor was the inferior third part of the “Urban Legend theme horror trilogy” kind of like an unplanned Cornetto Trilogy
the girl at the beginning should be singing playback at shows...she is talented...
on demand on free horror movies and I’m about to watch this movie it looks good.
Murder me Šlowly
Did you like it?
I’m gona watch this in a minute on demand movies in the sky never seen it before
When u find out that the teacher played Freddy Kruger in almost every movie
Wait! *LEX LUTHOR WAS IN A SLASHER MOVIE*
There was another movie where the killer also had an axe and wore the same winter hoodie, its not the 2012 ATM film, as I've watched that and know for a fact that its not that one, its not this one either but I can't for the life of me figure out what its called
Urban Leg end is Comedy gold
I personally think this is better than Scream, I know what you did last summer.
Prince Drayton I personally think your insane but to each their own😂😂😂😂
@@cupcakekiller7545 Hey we all have our opinions.
Prince Drayton ok....😂
Prince Drayton it’s basically a copy of scream

now
I forgot about this movie, only found it cause i looked up the trailer for Urban Legend the tv show lol
Omg jared leto...
thats so bs , I used to watch this movie as a kid , why would they purposely reduce the quality?
