Can family members add their own account to it? With their own subbed channels/playlists etc. Or do they have to make a new profile within my account?
Have the same question, is it a totally separate interface where they have their own Playlist or are what they watch or save/access come up on my on mine, vice versa
They simply use their own UA-cam account, they need _not_ make a new profile within your UA-cam account.

What if I invite a family member, but they already have a UA-cam account with all their favorites set up. Do they have to start all over or can they migrate all their favorites?
Hi Midgie, nothing changes in their UA-cam account favorites (likes subs etc.) they keep their own settings, but in additional enjoy youtube premium through your invite :-)

*NO* a family member can NOT see your UA-cam activity

Yes and No. Meaning, UA-cam has many different rules for family members using the UA-cam premium membership. For example: the family member may be using their smart phone to access their UA-cam account and they may just as well be in another country when using UA-cam. *Yes* family members can all use UA-cam regardless of if you travel to another country *as long as family members login to UA-cam using the exact same email address you've added them to your family group*
If one person already has their own individual membership but is invited into a family plan, will their individual membership carry over extending the term time by the amount remaining or will it override it, resulting in the remaining time lost on their individual plan?
Well that's a good question. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure about the answer. I would assume that both memberships will continue as per their own terms of agreement (unless the individual membership holder cancels their membership). In such case, I would either NOT accept the invitation to the family plan, or, cancel the individual membership if I do accept the invitation (because the benefits of premium will be the same either way).
Can the other members know what I watch or the time spent on UA-cam?
No, unlike NetFlix streaming services where you can see activity of others sharing your NetFlix account, UA-cam Premium Family Member Plan doens't allow me to see what other family members watch on UA-cam (well at least I haven't seen that option as of yet). However, if you are concerned about family member needing further guidance on using UA-cam, then, Google also offers
Family Link option where you can better protect family member's privacy and usage of UA-cam platform.

As you know, UA-cam can be a challenge to navigate for young children and young adults. Best option as a family plan holder is to inform your children (as well as young adults) about the challenges and also offer your guidance as to how best to use UA-cam

That indeed is a great question, I've never seen an option to pay yearly fee, I'm billed monthly. However, since they keep making changes, annual option may be available in certain countries on certain conditions support.google.com/youtube/answer/11417260

UA-cam Premium family plans allow you to add up to 5 family members (ages 13+) in your household, this will then = 6 for your question :-)

NO you should not add friends as family members. Google will find that out and its against the terms of UA-cam premium membership.

So I live alone. I have fire tv stick on my 2 tv’s. Since they each have different fire tv sticks, do I have to purchase family plan?
NO because you'll be logged in to UA-cam using your own account credentials. Family plan is basically to get other family members enjoy youtube premium under the same account.
For example: I had just 1 UA-cam premium account (without a family plan) and then I coupld login to UA-cam using my smartphone, using my LapTop, using my Desktop computer, using my smart TV with a single UA-cam premium membership.
So don't go upgrading a family membership plan just to login to different devices

Yes, you can always add/remove access for particular family member
is it the same way of inviting members on UA-cam music?
Yes, simply follow these steps:
1 Sign in to the Google Account associated with your UA-cam paid membership.
2 In the UA-cam app (or UA-cam account profile image when using Chrome), tap on your profile picture and then Purchases and memberships.
3 Tap Edit next to Family sharing settings.
4 Tap Invite family members.
5 Enter the email address or phone number of the person you want to invite.
6 Select Send.
(Family member will recieve your invitation email in their inbox where they can accept your invite.)
(You'll get an email notification when someone joins your family.)
NOTE: UA-cam keeps changing things, if the above steps doesn't work for UA-cam Premium Music please let us know (also: UA-cam Premium Family Plan includes UA-cam Music, that means we just pay for the UA-cam Premium Membership only)
When you start this family plan will one person be paying for it or could more than 1 family member pay for it
Hi Steven, only the *Family Manager* pays for the entire membership subscription. Having said this: there is actually an option to add *backup payment methods* whereby you could add any credit card details (including from other family member).
Another example: I pay for our family plan. I could ask my lovely wife to add her credit card as a backup payment option. And at the day payment is due, I would $0 my balance and force UA-cam to use the backup payment option.
*I know that is a silly example, but it is possible get other family members to pay for the monthly subscription fee* better option would be to agree with them before hand.

Can i see their playlists or vice versa on this plan?
Part 1 = Each family member's UA-cam usage is kept private from others (including the main account holder). This is their UA-cam video watch history, watch time, watch later playlists, downloaded videos etc.
Part 2 = Regular video Playlists for UA-cam account holders are usually public, this means, you can see UA-cam account holders Playlists when you visit their UA-cam channel (whether they have UA-cam membership or not).
But I think your question is answered in Part 1 :-)

The only real difference in term of benefits and features is how many people can use 1 particular Membership account. Basically, a person could consider an upgrade when they want to share their membership with other family members in their household.
What happens when I want to share with family not in the same building?
I actually *do not know* what would happen if you added a family member NOT at the same address, but I would not want to find out. Meaning, #Google will almost certain find out and probably will either provide warning to remove the access of the member, or, worse case scenario terminate UA-cam Premium Family Plan.
UA-cam Help Section says:
*Family member requirements*
The family manager can invite up to 5 family members to join a family group. To join a family group sharing a UA-cam family plan, you must:
Have a Google account. If you have a Google Workspace account, you’ll need to create or sign in to a regular Google account.
Live within the same residential address as the family manager. *Does not say what happens if this condition is not met*
Live in a country or region where UA-cam Premium, UA-cam Music Premium, or Primetime Channels are available.
Not be part of another family group.
Not have switched family groups in the last 12 months.

@RankYa I managed to subscribe Family membership with my friends eventho we are far apart, as along as ur friends are within in the same region , which is mine Malaysia .
one more thing , ur friend gmail's account make sure is created within in same region , or else u cannot accept the invitation for the subscription
