Been using it a couple of yrs and it's great for all the reasons you mention
My main issue is if you are in a Google Workspace account, you can only have single use YT premium not multi user
If you buy one month and cancel, then YT will spam you with ads like never before, every 5 sec new ads on any video, just to buy again. So think twice before buy.

I’ve been a UA-cam Premium subscriber for years, and it’s the only video service I’m paying for. It really made the viewing experience far more satisfying. I also love the background play, which comes in handy with videos that do not require me to watch, and also picture-in-picture is handy too, though I wish it was a bit more consistent on my iPad.

I drive a lot, and I prefer to listen to videos like this one. I put them in a Playlist, and having premium means I don't have to dangerously fiddle with my phone to skip ads while I'm driving. It's absolutely perfect!

it’s starting to seem like it’s not worth it though. they raised the price to $20 a month which is ridiculous, that’s more than every single streaming service in the world it’s insane

I got UA-cam premium for Cobra Kai. Never canceled it even after I finished watching and don't regret it. Every once in a while I'll be in someone's office and they load up UA-cam and I see just how different an experience it is when you're inundated with ads. No ads is worth the price.

It went from $11.99 US in November 2022 to $13.99 US as of January 7th, 2024. Not so sure it's worth it anymore. But hey, each their own.

I'm a subscriber and small time creator. We have the family package and for us it's been a great decision. We've cancelled some previous music streaming services which helped the decision. Interesting to see where paying to watch 4K content goes (I do upload in 4K)

I've had pro for longer than I can remember, but a few months ago when my card expired and/or I was hilariously broke, premium expired and I had a few days wait for the new card card and/or the next payday. I honestly can't remember why I couldn't renew, but I can say without a hint of irony it was one of the worst weeks of my life.
I was a "cord cutter" when Netflix was sending DVDs and "commercials" as we used to call them have become a foreign concept.
Flash forward a decade or so and now I'm pretty much watching or playing UA-cam in the background 24/7 for background noise, but as a replacement for TV, Netflix, etc. I don't even own a functional TV, and I work from home.
But all the sudden when my premium expired and I had multiple repetitive ads preroll AND midroll for every single video. I don't know if it was always that bad, and I had just forgotten, or maybe ads had increased since I started premium.
I don't know when I started premium but it didn't sink in just how valuable it was to me personally until I didn't have it.
Not to mention my conscience is cleaner when I don't use adblockers on smaller creators who deserve to be compensated for the knowledge and entertainment they're providing me.
Tldr; for me personally, I literally can't use UA-cam without it.

Yes i bought it from GAMSGO, where you get acces to family membership for 24eur for ONE YEAR. So it costs like 2euro for a month. Awesome
If you use UA-cam a lot, then in my opinion it is. I like how it still plays when the app is minimized. Love not having ads. Crazy we pay for a bit more mental peace without ads.
Them ads will mess with your mental for sure, the same ads over and over and over and over , and you trying to qu8ickliy time the skip button becomes annoying
Thanks for the video PV. As I'm looking over my finances, if you say that UA-cam Music is better than it was, maybe when I look at what I pay for Spotify, and waiting for ads to skip on YT, it may work out cheaper in the long run to have YT Premium for my music and YT videos.
As well as being able to let music play on while my phone is locked, to me, is way helpful. Something to think about now I've seen this. Thanks Guys 👍
The thing that gets me is the 40 min commercial they now promote. It's extortion at this point.
I accidentality ran UA-cam without being logged in the other day, and remembered how many ads I used to have to skip through and how it was almost impossible to watch a video, so I could never go back.
One problem with YT Music however is the system that tries to decide what playlist is video and what is music does not always work well.
I would like to be able to manually designate my playlists as Music or Video.
same. its just impossible to watch youtube without premium now. try to look for video on my friend's phone, and just realize how good is youtube without ads
Watching Ad-free is absolutely worth the money. UA-cam is the only
App I use to consume video content so watching it without the ads was a game changer.

I held out, then tried it, never going back. My brain detests ads, my experience without ads is so much better. Note the download is like Netflix, more offline viewing than downloading. You can’t actually do anything with the download except watch it inside UA-cam.
Hell yeah I have UA-cam Premium. Been subscribed to it ever since it was first introduced as UA-cam Red and I did it solely to get rid of the ads. I've been without UA-cam ads for so long, I sometimes forget that there are ads on the platform that I'm completely bypassing.

I absolutely love UA-cam Premium. Watching ads annoys me to no end. My personal channel has had premium for years, and I'm now in a trial for my creator channel (this one). I'm wondering if I should switch to a family plan so that both channels will have access to a premium subscription after the trial. Question: would it alter my creator channel if it became an "add-on" to my personal channel (under the family plan)?
I have the same thought: pay for two premiums or go with a family plan?
Yes I just started a free 3 months subscription, no ads is great. Mainly using on my big TV, for 4K, which has just been upgraded to a new app and everytime I open it it asks me to install the new app, again, anoyinggggg. Still undecided, new app is confusing but works better when searching using in conjunction with the smartphone for remote control, cheers Brendan.
I might be in the minority that doesn't mind ads. some are actually informative or pleasant to watch. but I wld definitely pay for YT access if it ever became a paid service. Im a fan user and creator (with another small channel) and the experience is always very satisfying.
Just a couple of things. I am up for renewal, but I am not sure I will yet. While paying to be ad-free is great, I feel cheated because a lot of channels have paid sponsors which are basically ads and those don't get blocked. The thing with ads if you don't have premium, you are using YOUR data to listen to ads essentially. Who wants that? Especially those who don't have unlimited data plans from their phone carrier.
It’s very worth it for me. My favorite type of content is long from video essays and I like listening to them in the background while I work or clean. It’s nice being able to put my phone away and do whatever I need to do without wasting the extra battery as well ❤
The premium subscription is up to 16.00 per month now and they still play 2 f commercials before I watch a video. I don't see what the advantage is for the premium, it's ver annoying
I have had premium for a few years and have been very happy with it. Now, However, certain presenters have been putting there own ads in the beginning, middle and end of their videos and that seems wrong to me. Some of them, whom I have complained to about it have removed them and some have put them at the end. However some others, like Meidas Touch, are putting long loud commercials in the middle of their videos. For these there is no skip button. I am pretty annoyed about it. Do you know what I might be able to do about it? I feel now as if I am paying for nothing if this is allowed.

If you just want to eliminate ads on UA-cam without having to pay, the b,r,a,v,e browser is excellent. Admittedly you are depriving content creators of some revenue but you can make up for that by getting on their lists, buying merch, or if they have courses, if you want.
Thinking bout it considering I watch a lot of UA-cam. Twitch ads are so aggressive if one dual streams I always opt for UA-cam side

I have a question. Can I download UA-cam videos to me External HDD or SSD or USB memory stick? I tried it but it doesn't work at all... and is it really true, that you can download videos only 30 days on your youtube playlist not your computer or any other memory device? I undersdand, that dowloading video means same thing if a long time ago we use download youtube website to download videos to own computer memory.

So, when you download a video using Premium (not a commercial movie, just an upload from a Channel creator), does the actual Mp4 file reside on your computer, or do you still need to view the video through the UA-cam app?
using it, enjoying add-free content , 2nd as I travel a lot for work and work offshore it's always nice to have a library full of downloaded videos to watch :)
I think Download & Go is device specific; I dont think it sync's across devices??
I've been on youtube premium for years and yes its an absolute no-brainer. I have found that youtube music has everything, whereas Spotify etc all have a few blind spots. And not having to see ads? I can't believe its not more popular. I literally don't know anyone else who is a subscriber. People say 'watch this' , and we sit through an ad while I tell them they don't actually have to. And still they don't sign up......
UA-cam music is great. The app isn't always perfect, but I've found the automatically continued playlists are a great discovery feature. I've found so many pieces of music I love through it, and many from small creators.
The one thing that bugs me is that YT playlists and YT music ones are the same list, which means I have a really long list of playlists that I wish I could group up or split somehow.
The high quality is really decent for playing on EQed Sony XM4s on the go.
Only complaint I have are fan made playlists made up of delisted or dmca'd videos. And sometimes playlists I make with music I own has tracks flagged or dropped or delisted. It's a pain to redress the playlist.
Might do it for the Apple mobile devices but thankfully I’ve got an ad blocker on my pc. I only use my pc for a few minutes a day so that ad blocker doesn’t help me much.
But How Do You See Advertisement You May Want/Need ?
I use it. Without commercials you can make great Playlists and audiobooks are great.
Can you use UA-cam Music in videos and still monetize the videos? We've noticed some creators using UA-cam Premium Music, very popular songs, in their videos. Are they doing so at the risk of having those videos demonetized? Or does the premium account give you the licencing/rights to use that music for monetized videos?
Premium account doesn't give you access to better music, you could use a service like Lickd for commercial music
I don't think you can say that YT Premium is in a ballpark range of other streaming services I get Amazon, Disney Plus and Netflix for less than the cost of the family subscription.
I recently started yt channel and i posted 4 videos but when i search my channel from another account it shows only 1 video but when i open the channel it shows all 4 videos..there is problem in video count how can i solve this issue....??
I just run ad blocks on my chrome, and i get no UA-cam ads. Only time i get ads is on my phone. As for music i might get the music part of this plan.

They had me with ad free playback and I’ve been a subscriber from day one. It’s the only reason I pay for it. I don’t leverage any of the other features.

Thanks for the informative video. I paid to not watch ads (I'd say about a year ago) and I was still getting them. I also couldn't find a way to cancel or refund my money at first. I had to do a lot of digging. Do you have any information on how to contact UA-cam if my ads are still playing. I'm with you! I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE ADS. Thanks again!

NGL UA-cam Premium is expensive. I only want "no ads, background play, download video for offline". I don't need youtube music. So they should make cheaper plan like 5 bucks for youtube video premium.
If I want to watch ad free videos on more than one device, such as an iPhone, iPad or MAC, do I need a subscription for each device? I don’t mean download on an iPad and watch on a computer. Could I watch a Justin video on my computer today and next week watch a new video ad free on an iPad or iPhone.

Wow restricting 4k to premium will decimate people uploading 360 content ! YT have already removed 5k from their platform and people like myself who has 6k 360 camera are only able to have it uploaded at a maximum 4k grr.
I have very fast internet but when I try to stream some 4K UA-cam videos it pauses every few seconds. So I have to play it lower res or go through the whole video and maybe next time a play it its smoother as if it cashed. This is on a fast lap top. Do they puposeslly limit speed of 4k or just limit bandwidth ? Basically if UA-cam said yes you get higher band width with premium I would have to go with it.

I listen to UA-cam on headphones as I work, drive etc, so as soon as Vanced or whatever comes after that stops working, I'll have to go Premium, because watching on my PS5, which doesn't have access to third party ad blockers, is unbearable...which is the whole point of ads, after all

After my last YT Premium sub, my email began having a bug on YT where I don't get ads even when unsubbed so, I didn't have to resub again... for months now. But I recently wanted to, just for the sake of having the Download option, both for YT, and mostly for YT Music which also got "Ad bugged" after my first sub.
Features like background play or 4K shouldn’t be locked behind a paywall. And you should be able to have YT premium without having to pay for YT music.
Id been paying for the past 4 years and I don’t regret it. People pay cable subscriptions to watch ads. I pay UA-cam to not deal with them.
I dont have premium but dont get many ads. I must have turned something off in-settings when I first downloaded

Yes because I hate ads and use YT music for music, it's worth it if you're watching lengthy videos like NRL or E-Sports like Dota those videos can go for at least 50+ mins long, you definitely encounter ads mid way though videos without Premium.
UA-cam Music because when I work can turn off the screen and continue doing what task needs to be done.

Why don't you mention ad blockers? And the biggest ad on youtube, is the sponsors that the content creators talk about in their videos.
and there are a lot of good UA-cam downloaders as well… I am considering to cancel my subscription exactly because there are sponsored blocks in many videos, it is extremely annoying, I pay the 11 EUR and I have to mess skipping the ads created by the creators.

This is very very true!! Wondering for myself, with the new price increase, if this is still worth it over just getting Spotify and using an adblocker for UA-cam vids
@@fishhuntadventureit’s not free, it’s like $18 (?) a month now with the price increase dingus. They’re saying the content creators are essentially double dipping and you still have to skip through their sponsored segment of the video

I'm seriously considering UA-cam Premium. I used to swear that I'd never get it, but now the ads are are really getting to me. It was a couple of months ago when UA-cam decided to spew two non-skippable ads back to back. It's gotten very ridiculous. Why are they giving me a non-skippable 6 second ad after literally giving me the 15 second non-skippable one? It's extremely annoying.
$13 per month is a bit much too. That's nearly, if not more than my Netflix subscription. I wish they'd just split the package, so when you want to just watch UA-cam with no ads, you won't also be forced to also pay for UA-cam Music and etc-- because, let's be real: Most people who buy UA-cam Premium don't it for any other single reason outside of ads.
If I buy UA-cam music, since it says no ads, does that means I will get no ads on my regular UA-cam?

I had it - - but I actually Missed the Ads. (for me) It's useful to see Ads. I rarely watch the entire Ad. Almost always I'll click Skip. But it's nice to know what's going on outside.
If you skip the creator get close to nothing
