I wish the keys were lowered in the mix to be totally honest, the repetitive keyboard notes played in the verse were distracting to me. Could just be me
He’s the most reluctant brilliant front man maybe ever. He would easily just play lead guitar but he is so gifted as a songwriter and vocalist he will always keep getting pushed to the front
@@Mr.Monky420 under appreciated? lmao theyre fucking massively successful worldwide. theyre like one of the few bands with that level of success thats actually really good
i bet money that Homme and co. make the audio engies take their time and mike everything properly. It's so rare to hear every instrument so clearly like this
Can we all take a moment to appreciate Troy and Dean’s fantastic work on the background instruments? It wouldn’t be the same without the dialing guitars in the chorus or the slide guitar in the prechorus
Troy is the man, that being said Dean is crazy underrated, super talented overall musician, glad he’s still in the band 16yrs later same with Mikey since they joined at the same time.
@@nomorenukes ya forsure, this whole lineup seems to love each other and love playing together and they put on a hell of a show, they’ve sounded so good live the last year
Lee Bailey Why ‘band’? Are they not a real band? Also how do you define underrated? Every time I’ve seen them they were playing to huge sold out crowds. I’d say pretty properly rated. Maybe you define underrated as bands you just discovered, which is shortsighted bc your personal experience and awareness is limited in the grand scheme of things.
I think Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and James Hetfield are super underrated guitarists they bring so much rhythm to there tracks....Notice all three are also drummers
@@sanick4864 dude i’m literally talking about the keyboard player. He’s next to the drummer, and plays a red SG during the chorus and plays keyboard during the verses. I’m not talking about the rhythm guitarist/slide guitarist
To me this is a close 2nd . Joey seems to rush in his live performances - so I have to give it to Theodore on drums these days . Overall a tight band , can’t wait to see them live
I’d like to repeat the opinion of many. It’s amazing he can play that riff, plus play lead, and sing smoothly. The mixing and levels are near perfect. Fantastique.
First band I ever saw live, my garbage ex caught Josh Hommes pick (and shortly afterwards lost it 😒). Still tho, seeing him play guitar was nuts, he puts so much power and precision into his strumming. And live they sound pm exactly like they do on record. Josh Homme must’ve sold his soul or something for that talent
Fck me that performance was dead tight, Josh homme deserves to go down in History as one of the best songwriter's and performer ever! I am a 61 year old ex punk, Hommes music literally blasts every band i have ever listened to, Watched and followed out of the water!
*you have to sell your soul to play that riff and sing that well at the same time*
i had this song down in 2 months. practice dude
but you cant sing that good
i can play it and sing to it...
Poseidon Lp *well*
Poseidon, try Better Living.
The audio mix is so fucking good. Josh is a monster for being able to play and sing this at the same time.
I wish the keys were lowered in the mix to be totally honest, the repetitive keyboard notes played in the verse were distracting to me. Could just be me
Not just you! I was thinking the same@@kevinc5771
@@kevinc5771the keys were definitely more forward than they needed to be but overall the mix is very solid
Dean was a bit hot in the mix...but having Mikey hot on his solo made up for it...🤘
THE BASS SOUNDS SO DAMN AWESOME!!!
exactly
so simple and so awesome!
especially the bass solo part. that tingling feeling in the spine.. :)
totally agree, dude, well, the whole song is amazing
Winston Teoh es el puto amo
Josh Homme deserves so much more recognition he's a super underrated guitar player especially since he's so good!
+Gnarlord he's so god
Gnarlord I agree. This band in general is very under appreciated imo.
Damn good bass player too, but not in the traditional sense. Makes him very unique.

Josh has a reputation for being a perfectionist and overall a pain in the ass for the engineers.
Hutch probably did it
Best guitar tone, that i've heard in my enitre life! So crisp.
This is a joke, right? You want the guitars drowned out by the keyboard?
I fuckin love how Josh is always "dancing" when he plays and sings. Looks like Elvis Presley !
My exact same thought !!
He didn't earn the nickname "Ginger Elvis" for nothing. lol
-TheSpifire- totes
i think that happens when you become one with your music!
-TheSpitfire- too right ! villians 2017 also.woohoo
their bass player is so damn good
Adam Fitzgerald he was only 22, amazing
Mikey shoes
Carlos Augusto No. Mikey Shoes.

God damnit how talented are these guy's?????
This was one of my favorite shits to play on guitar hero III, my childhood has officially come full circle! Their drummer is KILLING it
Malcolm Rasheed Joey Castillo. Queens never have bad drummers. Joey is my favourite because he looks so cool when playing, and he hits fucking hard.
love the drums also
holy shit that was a fucking flawless performance, god damnn

The only man that can play with hobo gloves on and still rock like a god!
Way faster than the album version, I quite like it... :)
I miss Joey, he was a perfect drummer for QotSA, had this queens' vibe in himself.
that break down bit is *crazy* , goes so hard
One of the catchiest danciest hypnotizing basslines ever
Josh homme is a beast, fuck I love this song and they absolutely killed it.
The most underrated 'band' on the planet. Cutting edge music talent.
And earnt.

A rare treat to see them play this live. Wish they'd add it to their set list more often.
The audio technician mixed this amazingly, sounds great

They should’ve showed more of the keyboardist, his guitar part in the chorus makes the song for me

This is such a great performance and I think everyone sounds and did amazing... but that constant keyboard note was giving me an aneurysm...
Best QOTSA song, best performance of it, with the best iteration of the band. Couldn't be better!!
God damn, this sounds even better than the studio recording!
they killed it live!! wow sounds almost like their CD track or whatever.. I can't remember the last band to play a song and have it sound soo similar
Queen of The Stone Age never ceased to amaze me i love all their songs
This is QotSA's best lineup. Produced the absolutely tightest live performances.

That is ...... I have no words... I love QOTSA even more now...
All of them at the beginning... getting ready... as they all move their heads. :))))
Of all the drummers they have had, Joey is my favorite.
This is better than the muted sounding studio release, better tempo too.
rode a ski lift with Josh and Fangirled the whole time. He was very cool about it. Fav band.
Me encanta esta canción, esta banda tiene un sonido único y brutal!!!
I've seen the video from 2:55 countless times... That solo..
Troy and Dean really pull their weight on this one. This is great!
The Bass sounds frikin awesome!!!
Perfect 2:56
Damn, i wanted to see Letterman's reaction hahaha
love those little guitar solos
We need more of this
Making us all forget… 🥲

You know what QOTSA fans want? The keyboards cranked up tot he top of the mix!
That base is incredible.
