Ally with the most SP support passives aren't actually random anymore. It prioritizes the order you selected them in team, so Hong's support passive is really consistent so you just need to slot ish or gregor at first and second slot and burn count will flood in as long as you maintain one of them at 45 sp This also makes something like Burn Deluge/Burst or somethin pretty strong, so I just hope they do uncap it. Its not like its a game limitation to cap it

Liu Gregor was one of my first IDs when I downloaded Limbus, and I did realize pretty quickly that compared to my other base sinners and other IDs at the time he had REALLY underwhelming coin power, even if I didnt understand the concept that well. However, he's still good to use in teams and also because he's like one of the cooler Gregor IDs to me personally. Sumn about him stands out I guess

Please curse! Burn is such a fun team, give me more!!!! (I love playing with pretty much every team comp, and it is nice that MD3 (From what the notes) it seems to be easier to start with the appropriate ego gifts for teams that need it).
Stigma Workshop themselves would be such a fun faction to see in Limbus... Workshop stuff and Burn stuff needs much more representation in Limbus, and Stigma is one of the most frequently reoccurring Workshop with stuff like supplying Dawn's Office with their weaponry and having a similar ignition device to the one used by Liu Association, as well as providing one of Ezra's more commonly used weapons. They could very easily have their own burn-adjacent debuff they inflict, given how their weaponry leaves behind intricate burn marks, being stigma. There's so much potential and it's just something I really hope to see.
I feel like if Stigma members appear as ids, they're definatelly gonna fill the half Charge half Burn gimmick like how Rosepanner Meur and Rodya does the same for charge/tremor and Rosepanner Greg and Wi Sang for Charge/Rupture

The ignition device itself you could argue about requiring charge, but I don't think workshops and charge need to correlated all the time; there's a lot of variety for weaponry in a world so heavily defined by its logic breaking singularities!
I'm surprised with how many 4th match flame E.G.O. there are, they haven't even made one that makes the enemy's burn explode in 4 turns. The closest one is just the Ryoshu one's passive.

What if someone will have 45 SP with higher slot? (For example if cinq don is slot 1 and molar outis is slot 2 and they're both 45SP) Will Hong's passive just turn off?

From what I hear, unlike Tremor, the problem with burn isn't burn... It's that 3/4 of the units that can apply it are either garbage or stuck in early unit hell. That and we don't have burn Ryoshu, for some inexcusable reason. It would be hilarious if she ended up being a 000 Liu Director.

I feel like a lot of the reason why burn has been underwhelming in this game is because the devs wanted to avoid another Ruina situation. Lowering Burn Potency and capping it so that players don't reach ridiculous levels of burn that would allow them to circumvent certain fights (see Scardey Cat and Road Home as example) . I do really hope they ease up on Burn, since I would like to see DoT effects get more love. Besides, these are the same devs that let Sunshower and Quick Suppression slide on the devroom floor, but god forbid a Liu ID who's main damage is the burn they proc do more than 3-4 in a turn.
One idea I have that would make for some more interesting status IDs (that'd benefit burn the most) are status-fueling IDs. What I'm thinking is IDs that apply one status type, but apply that status exponentially better against enemies affected a lot by another status type. For example, let's take an ID that has a 4 coin skill, it will apply one Rupture potency each coin, however if the target has 10+ Burn pot then it will apply +1 Rupture per coin, and if the target has 5+ burn count, then it will apply +1 Rupture count per coin. Doing split status teams usually ends up with a lot of status but lackluster damage from them, however, with IDs that apply a ton of another type of status when being fueled by large amounts of another status it will make multi status teams way more viable. And since burn is so easy to build up and maintain it will have the easiest time to activate the requites on skills for these status-fueled IDs, making burn a central hub that can pull off lots of different status.

rupture teams are viable(talisman sinclair, the dimension shredder debuff etc...) sinking is also viable and is carried by rime shank, bleed and poise seem to becoming actually viable and better now(for bleed:hook hong lu, first mate yi sang, queequegcliff, kurokomo ryoshu and rodion, etc)poise(pirate gregor, blind obssesion ego and more but im lazy) the only unviable are tremor and haste
At least this I’m pretty certain will have a solution soon. We’ve all felt what they did to us with Xiao’s unique debuff. But yeah, burn needs an accelerated effect. Also I’m praying for a seasonal burn ID for ryoshu, think of the narrative…

I'm trying to think of some non-Liu burn ID's and the only ones that come to mind are.. Philip and Lulu. There's not really much notable burn-appliers in LoR!

There's the rest of the Dawn Office, but that's still only 4 outside of Liu tbh. Even then, I feel like Salvador is the only one with a chance of getting in
Don't remember where I saw it (sorry if it was somewhere on this channel) but one suggestion I stumbled across for burn was as such: A new status called something like 'Powder', powder stacks up easy but has no effect on its own. However, when someone with powder takes damage from burn, all the powder on EVERY enemy goes off, potentially dealing a lot of damage across all enemies. Sure it's still just a big damage thing, but at least it activates in a unique way and if, for example, Powder doesn't totally go away when set off you could set off explosions from several enemies in a turn by spreading burn.
I remember having this idea for Liu Sang, as seen in Hong Liu's pre-uptie art, having "[On Hit] If target has X Burn, inflict Attack Power Down/Plus Coin Drop" or something to that effect to give Burn teams a debuffer to assist with setting up risky-ish clashes. In my head he also used Praying Mantis style martial arts and looked so rad.
One thing to note is that as HP totals increase, direct damage can keep pace theoretically with offense level, but status damage stays the same. Either status has to keep getting more and more potency, or HP pools need to stop increasing.
[9:38] One tiny thing you might have missed/omitted - Liu Hong Lu is arguably the best Hong Lu ID for spamming Land of Illusion, which is extremely safe to spam as it refunds the SP cost.
I think a burn team lacks the amount of gloom one needs to spam Land of Illusion. Costing 5 gloom per use is a lot, and the only consistent bringer of it is Nclair. Hong Liu has it on skill 3, for a total of 4 gloom skills on the burn team.
Looking back. You definitely have a Stand. You literally willed Dark Flame Outis and Philclair into existence. And we will probably get a Xiao ID at some point (she's too beloved for that to not happen. Rodion maybe?)
The sad part is how this actually became partially obsolete, not because burn isn't obsolete, but because in Mirror Dungeon, for the Burn Tier 4 gift, you need to be running all your burn IDs. You can't bench Liu Hong Lu if you want to use it. This *did* admittedly make more burn ID usable (because of the ridiculous boosts) but requires all 5 burn id to use.
17:00 I’m sure someone beat me to this, but you can use Liu Ishmael envy skill, Liu Hong Lu gloom skill, and Liu Meursault Sloth skill to fuel Meursault Base Ego, which is a Pride skill, allowing you to gain a pride resource without having any on the team.
If you want some ideas, I git 2-ish: {Oil}(Also known as make it LoR again): When present on a unit, take [X Potency•1/3 of Y Count] damage, and reduce Count by 1/3(rounded down) {Ignite: Type A}: When present on a unit, trigger Burn on a successful hit by X Coin Slot on an enemy/body part. Ex: Enemy has 3 Coin Slot=3 Activation of Burn(consume 1 Count per usage)+1 regular activation. {Ignite: Type B}: When present on a unit, trigger Burn on a successful hit by X Coin Slot on an said unit. Ex: Ally has 3 Coin Slot=3 Activation of Burn(consume 1 Count per usage)+1 regular activation. If you didn’t catch it, the difference between the {Ignites} is: one is based on the enemy(A) and the other is based on a Unit(B) I hope this goes into the curse of Es-*GOAT* in some way, shape or form!

Your Curse has done more for Burn than anything else... yet, the Shi have nothing save for a very, very minuscule amount of Mirror Dungeon EGO gifts, which do make them more consistent at least. The day we get a Shi banner, it will be the day I spend money on this game
Super excited for where they go with burn, I also love the archetype and especially Liu Ishmael, and I think you're spot on with the speculation based on 9:2 Faust (surely, right?). I also actually really like the idea of them going in the direction of largely working with plus coin boosts, as it reminds me a lot of Liu working heavily off of emotion level in Ruina. Anyway please release Xiao Faust PM I am on my knees begging (also 10/10 ending)

Don't remember where I saw it (sorry if it was somewhere on this channel) but one suggestion I stumbled across for burn was as such:
A new status called something like 'Powder', powder stacks up easy but has no effect on its own. However, when someone with powder takes damage from burn, all the powder on EVERY enemy goes off, potentially dealing a lot of damage across all enemies. Sure it's still just a big damage thing, but at least it activates in a unique way and if, for example, Powder doesn't totally go away when set off you could set off explosions from several enemies in a turn by spreading burn.
I remember having this idea for Liu Sang, as seen in Hong Liu's pre-uptie art, having "[On Hit] If target has X Burn, inflict Attack Power Down/Plus Coin Drop" or something to that effect to give Burn teams a debuffer to assist with setting up risky-ish clashes.
In my head he also used Praying Mantis style martial arts and looked so rad.

One thing to note is that as HP totals increase, direct damage can keep pace theoretically with offense level, but status damage stays the same. Either status has to keep getting more and more potency, or HP pools need to stop increasing.

[9:38] One tiny thing you might have missed/omitted - Liu Hong Lu is arguably the best Hong Lu ID for spamming Land of Illusion, which is extremely safe to spam as it refunds the SP cost.
I think a burn team lacks the amount of gloom one needs to spam Land of Illusion. Costing 5 gloom per use is a lot, and the only consistent bringer of it is Nclair. Hong Liu has it on skill 3, for a total of 4 gloom skills on the burn team.

The sad part is how this actually became partially obsolete, not because burn isn't obsolete, but because in Mirror Dungeon, for the Burn Tier 4 gift, you need to be running all your burn IDs. You can't bench Liu Hong Lu if you want to use it.
This *did* admittedly make more burn ID usable (because of the ridiculous boosts) but requires all 5 burn id to use.
17:00 I’m sure someone beat me to this, but you can use Liu Ishmael envy skill, Liu Hong Lu gloom skill, and Liu Meursault Sloth skill to fuel Meursault Base Ego, which is a Pride skill, allowing you to gain a pride resource without having any on the team.
If you want some ideas, I git 2-ish:
{Oil}(Also known as make it LoR again): When present on a unit, take [X Potency•1/3 of Y Count] damage, and reduce Count by 1/3(rounded down)
{Ignite: Type A}: When present on a unit, trigger Burn on a successful hit by X Coin Slot on an enemy/body part.
Ex: Enemy has 3 Coin Slot=3 Activation of Burn(consume 1 Count per usage)+1 regular activation.
{Ignite: Type B}: When present on a unit, trigger Burn on a successful hit by X Coin Slot on an said unit.
Ex: Ally has 3 Coin Slot=3 Activation of Burn(consume 1 Count per usage)+1 regular activation.
If you didn’t catch it, the difference between the {Ignites} is: one is based on the enemy(A) and the other is based on a Unit(B)
I hope this goes into the curse of Es-*GOAT* in some way, shape or form!
