I really like Tim's lecturing on background history of the vehicles
I've only seen like 2 or 3 of these and I can remember the one getting into a downtier and getting almost 10 kills in like 2 minutes.
was probably me. I use it a ton in ground rb
This is just shameless by Gaijin.
Oh yeah i can quite often get even up to 8-10 kills in this thing, it is really powerful when you know how to use it
@@Sag05501 It was really just lucky for the guy we had no AA or IFVS up to kill it. He also hovered high enough over the single cap so no roof mounts or cannons got him until a BMP2 spawned. It was just the right situation but still watching this guy kill everyone with impunity was ridiculous.
yeah it's quite busted, managed to get a few easy nukes and even back to back nukes with this
@ 7:20
You're not wrong Tim, when i was searching info about the Mi-28 I saw from somewhere the nickname that Russian soldier give to Mi-28 is "Mickey Mouse" due to the radar installed at the front looks like Micky's nose
Its balanced at 10.0, but at 9.7 is was pretty busted. At 10.0 the sams can reach you, you have no maw, and no thermals. It shouldn't go up. Things like the YAH-64 and Mi35 are better, and they sit at 10.3.
Yah is pretty fuck garbage, the hell fires are kinda goofy and fire upwards then take a while to go down so you can't go close range as effectively if you need to like the ka 50/52, and the engines on it are so under powered its slower with rockets than the AH 1G
@@luclanglois9086 Hellfires loft themselves. If you're using hellfires in "closet range" you're using them wrong. I have no issues using the YAH or AH-64s.
@@spray916 i said "if you need to" its not as versatile and the 30mm is pretty booty ass
I’m loving the helicopter reviews!
Also if you do a sideways barrel roll you could fuelstarve your engine
"You know, even the mighty Cayman has a weak spot,"
--some Greek guy in ArmA who shot one of these down or something
Tim, i love you, i have been googling vids to see if i should buy this and o day later u but this baby out. I will get this now, thx not thx ;)))
What are your thoughts on the American Starfighters?
It feels like some games I make it out like a bandit with a 500% booster and plenty of clueless premium players to kill, the rest of the time I’m tiered to fight F-4Es in an aircraft that doesn’t even have flares or it’s historical 4 missiles
The games MATCHMAKING IS 💩
Starfighter was my first jet and I was very disappointed
I'll do a proper review of the American starfighters eventually, but the TLDR is that the Aim-9B __SERIOUSLY__ holds them back in the current BR matchmaking paradigm. :-\
@@TimsVariety I’m rarely if ever killed by guns or early missiles
it’s always Magic’s and R-60s that killed me through basically no fault of my own
You can dodge an R-60, you can’t dodge the fifth one in a row
to me the Mi-28 looks like a flying Rhino.
Infamous Ka-50 next!
Nice videos keep up the good work also can you review the A129CBT in italy?
Patience, patience .....
@@TimsVariety Okay.
We love a good theoretical helicopter. Heja Sverige 🇸🇪
Can someone explain to me one thing about the Russian ATGM
Why all the rusian heli launched ATGM were nerfed in terms of pen and range? Atakas, Vikhr and Krizantema
Will Sweden get new jets like China did? With better missle
They might get a hunter
@@CR-db9im hunter?? But they are low br tho... I was talking about top br
Why would they? The Viggen is still one of the best jets in game.
@@seank2793 Ja37D is in the files. RB-74s are AIM9Ls which it carried. No reason to want this however, because the Ja37C is good enough. It just received a buff, which made it much better.
@@spray916 the ja37c can also carry aim9l's and the extra thrust is negligeble though my report on its weight(to heavy ingame) should help it quite a bit more, theres also the flares that should be "large caliber" ive reported both and have gotten both passed to devs
can you a review on ka52
Patience, patience.... ;-)
whats the auto tracker? the sight fix "F" button?
Im not sure what your keybinds are, but the auto-tracker is the feature that lets you target a specific vehicle and stay "locked" on it, instead of just targeting a spot on the ground or needing to manually guide missiles in
@@TimsVariety So basically the lock sights by default its "F"
8:18 Dakka???
www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dakka :-)
Its so busted, played a bit. 20 Deaths and over 140kills
Can gaijin add new versions of the ataka in wt. such as the proximity fuse ataka and 9m120m upgraded ataka
yeah, it's blatantly OP, better than most Apaches and lower BR
Explain how its better then "most" apaches?
@@spray916 hellfires are almost useless currently
@@waldek7772 they're perfectly useable. Mi28a lacks thermals which all apaches have. Most apache have stingers and MAW as well. They're significantly better helicopters.
@@spray916 lmao significantly better, you're totally out of the game man, KA's and MI's totally dominate while every other nation helis are next to useless or a little worse than what Russians can do. I have the mi28N I really know what I'm talking about
@@spray916 hellfires aren't useless, I kill a ton of stuff with them, but they currently do not function as intended. Their arcing trajectory that is supposed to give them top attack literally does not give them top attack, and just makes them loft and fly super indirectly for no reason.
This means despite going 475m/s, not slow at all, it takes them 45 seconds to reach a target 8km away.
The 550m/s Ataka missile requires only 25 seconds to reach 6km, and flies directly.
The loft trajectory also makes hellfires miss all the time at closer ranges for no reason.
The Mi-28A also gets MORE countermeasures than the tech tree AHS at the end of the tree at 10.7.
Practically speaking, the Mi-28A has:
1. Better missiles
2. Better survivability
3. Better rockets
4. A better gun
5. More than 4 times as many countermeasures
6. Gun pods the Apache doesn't get
7. The ability to carry 16 ATGMs AND rockets at the same time
While the AHS, the end of Sweden's heli tree, has
1. Thermals
2. IRCM (nearly irrelevant, as all MANPADS ignore it and planes will just kill you with guns)
3. Stingers (barely work at all, 10g overload like an AIM-9B)
4. AIM-9L (this is pretty good, but if you take it you can only bring 8 Hellfires max)
5. A much lower velocity gun, but with far more ammo.
On balance, the Mi-28A is a better chopper for almost anything, unless you're trying to shoot down a plane specifically. If it had thermals, it'd deserve to sit at 10.7. As it stands, it should probably be at 10.3.
Hilarious it was 9.7 at first!
Ataka missile sounds like WH40k Orc named it.
Why are they so slow in the game in real life they are faster then the game
Not OP at all
