I have used the hegartymaths channel to help me revise for my mocks and igcse exam. Not only that but I have gotten a lot of my friends to revise from this channel because your channel is very helpful. Thank you for everything you've done you have helped me go from a D to an A/A*.
I am very grateful to Hegarty Maths, Thanks to you, I was able to achieve A* in my GCSEs, Especially your videos, they were simple and easy to understand. I am currently doing A-Level and use Hegarty for Maths and Further Maths. Hegarty Maths was more like Private Tuition for me, Keep up the Good Work.

I have recently started to watch your video's. It has really changed my perspective of maths and has helped my grades vastly. I wasn't going to take Maths at A level but after watching your videos I'm taking maths At A-Level! Thanks for the video's

I just want to say thank you, i used to be really bad doing maths to the point that i was getting "E" for my mocks. One day i just went into youtube to see if someone had the same problem as me and then i saw that video called "How to get an A or A* in A level maths " and that really inspired me to carry on watching more of your videos and that made start to succeed. I went from an "E" grade to an "A" in less than two months and realized that maths are awesome!. Now i'm currently doing my A levels ( Pure maths, Further maths ,Physics and chemistry also french but i do speak french so is not that hard) i'm still improving from the first day i watched that video and i would like to thank you with more than words... your website well actually the hegarthy team just changed me completely and made myself feel really inspired. There's no enough words in the dictionary to describe how amazing and helpful you all are. To finish, i just want to say that i don'm mind if i don't win the price i just wanted to say thanks and i hope one day i get to know more people like you. Thanks for everything. By far hegarty maths Is the best channel out there for any one who needs help in maths. Has improved my grade from a B to an A thanks to hegarty maths! Also, I seem to enjoy maths a lot more, maths has been made so much easier after watching all the helpful videos. So happy!

Hi Hegarty Maths, I did my GCSE's about 6 months ago and got an A in maths. I was disappointed i didn't get an A* but it was down to your videos that got me over the line. I am really grateful and I hope you keep making videos to help so many other people like me achieve what they want. :)
I use Hegarty Maths because I really enjoy doing Maths in school and out of school and it's really helped me prove to my teachers(who were hesitant to let me take A level maths) and myself that I can actually do maths with dedication and the help of Hegarty maths.

I used HegartyMaths last year (exam season 2014), and the year before (2013) when revising for my GCSE maths exams - this enabled me to gain an A in my gcse maths in both year 9 and 10!! (unfortunately no improvement in year 10!:( ) and move onto to start studying A-Level maths in year 11! I am currently studying a-level maths and use HegartyMaths to aid with my studies when unsure of what to do which has certainly boosted my confidence with my maths ability!! I watched your videos daily back at gcse given that the maths department at my school weren't very dedicated towards teaching it.
At the start of year 10 my expected grade was very low and my teachers thought it was hopeless for me and pretty much gave up. Then I found your website, and after watching a few of the videos I really started to enjoy maths. Not only did hegartymaths aid me in terms of knowledge,but it gave me something to aspire for and grow a deep passion for maths. Ever since I started watching the videos i worked so much harder given that I received the motivation needed to work hard. Due to all the help I got from hegartymaths I got an A* in maths and am continuing it at A-level and obviously still continuing watching the amazing videos in which you've put your time and effort into.

Hi Mr. Hegarty, I have shared the video but more importantly I want to thank you for your hard work.
I first found out about your website during my GCSEs, and they really helped me get through the topics I was struggling with. Especially vectors, you explained them in such a way that I finally understood them after having loads of trouble with them. I managed to get an A* in GCSE maths with this help, and got higher marks everyone in my year getting 194 out of the 200 marks available. I was in disbelief when the teacher said that, as I was worrying that I did not even manage an A* on the day of my results. Also, I think your website has made me realise how much I love mathematics, as well as my old maths teacher from my other school. I am studying a levels now, and want to say thanks again especially for your videos covering FP1. I found mathematical induction and coordinate systems particularly difficult, and am finally understanding them much more than I did before due to your videos. You cover the spec perfectly, and go through a wide array of questions.
I will definitely be using your website in A2, and I look forward to it. You make maths much easier, it is no surprise you won the Teacher of the year award for it. Congratulations! :)

Dear Mr. Hegarty
I want to thank you for the help which you gave me with my GCSEs. Due to a lack of hardwork and belief my grades were falling and it was only when I reached study leave that I really began to work at it. By following your videos I pulled myself from a D/D in my methods exam up to an A/B! Couldn't have been happier on results day! Also as a byproduct of this success I have continued my studies into A-Level with an end goal of studying medicine.

The massive paragraph I am going to type up is about me wanting too win the book, but it's also something that I think has to be said. Also Simon Singh is an amazing mathematician I have watched his videos on Fermat's Last Theorem & Pi in The Simpsons, on the Numberphiles channel, he is truly inspiring, anyways I have digressed from what I want too say.
As a GCSE student Hegartymaths has truly motivated me, inspired me not just only taught me maths. It's sparked my curisosity of maths, which made me research into what maths truly is (there isn't really one definition aha). When I was in Year 9 I told my immature self "maths is a terrible subject I hate it too bits, why do we need too learn algebra, equations, shapes, numbers all of this boring rubbish". But when I delved into the subject; I found it's true beauty & Hegartymaths is really once of the causes that made me this curious. I have moved from a D too now a B in my mocks & now I want too aim higher, for an A (as I want too do chemistry & physics in A Levels). I now have the ability too do algebraic equations (harder ones that I could never do before), volumes, numbers (specifically percentages, ratio). One thing that I liked about using Hegartymaths is that the math skills, I learnt could be applied too other, subject like Chemistry where I could balance equations using the algebraic method. It's not even on that scale, the maths you have taught me, has made me capable of solving everyday problems, involving money & even algebra (people don't know it, but we use algebra everyday of our life!).
What also motivated me, but also sparked so much of my curisoity is the fact that maths can be found in nature. For example the Fibonacci Sequence, where the sequence can be found in a sunflower (I think not too keen). Too sum it up, hegartymaths has inspired me in a way (other things too), too make me want too learn more. My thirst for knowledge of maths, science has increased by tenfolds since Year 9. Now I know that I can do many things in my life.
Thank you Mr Hegarty for teaching me, too never give up (but also other valuable math skills too my tests aha)

I initially started using hegart maths 4 years ago in preparation for my GCSE exam, and it got me an A . Now 4 years on im using it for a2 maths. Mr Hegartys simplistic teaching has allowed me to understand many detailed concepts throughly that I never thought I would be able to learn.

As a Computer Programmer, and web programmer, Mathematics is very important in my field.
I always swing by whenever I have free time, to refresh myself by watching your videos, your technique of teaching is better then what I ever got from high school, and your website is fabulous for learning and staying in learning.

i used hegarty maths as daily revision to go over what i've learnt in lessons but don't fully understand. hegarty maths helps me understand difficult topics and it gave me the push i needed to decide whether to take math for ALevel or not. I went to some master-classes in Warwick last year and that begun my love for maths. After that, hegarty maths only deepened my love for it. I will probably be studying math further at uni too. Whether i have a chance of winning or not, i'm just grateful that you make these videos free and easily accessible because obviously not everyone can afford the extra support that they need. :)

I am a mature student studying for Maths and English GCSE (so I'm not entirely sure I should be putting myself forward for this competition). I have a great tutor at Shipley college in Bradford but I think I would be completely lost if not for the extra tuition I have picked up from your website and videos. I am enjoying maths a lot better than I did when I was at school and thanks to the wealth of online resources I understand it a lot better too. Yes it's the Aurasma app. Another excellent and free resource out there for people to use. I find it amazing that there are people like yourself out there willing to give away your hard work for free. Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks a lot Hegarty Maths. You guys have helped me a whole lot. I used the videos on the channel and your website to increase my knowledge on Maths. In particular, I found the pie chart process where I was able narrow down what I knew and what I needed to focus on more. I went from getting Cs and scraping Bs to getting As and A*s this year; especially being my final year in Secondary school, this year is the most academically important period for me...I am even considering taking Maths at A-Level.

I used your videos to revise for my Math GCSE, I got an A*. I've been using hegarty maths since the beginning of year 11 this really has helped me with my maths revision. In my September PPEs I REALLY did bad, but recently I did another mock and I got better grade than my first Sep. mock

I've only recently come across hegarty maths, but its been really helpful! Wow this comment was so long ago! I got an A* in GCSE maths and an A in further maths! Such a great teacher! Now studying physics at university!

I use HM maths for revision purposes. It really helped me though my GCSE's and am now doing AS level maths, keep up the good work!

I know that I am in no way going to win this as everyone else's comments are AMAZING. All I'm going to say is that I have my Maths Entry Exam Higher Tier Paper 1 tomorrow (9th December). Thank you for your videos. They are very useful and that's why I got a B last year. But what I want is a A, so I retake it this year. A few days ago, I did my mock exam, still a B. But I won't give up as I love Maths. And thank you very much again, you helped me a lot.
Dear LonelinessGaming Thanks loads for your comment. In order to push to that grade A when you go over your mark you need to read the mark scheme really carefully and made sure you learn from all your mistakes. Redo Qs and schedule time to redo that question a few weeks later to check you cans till answer questions like that. Also go to this website keshgcsemaths.wordpress.com/gcse-maths-takeaway/ and do the sets of Qs on that topic you were weak on. Hope this helps. Best regards. Mr H

Hello HegartyMaths! I started using it in Year 11. I was in set 6 in my school, mainly doing D/C grade stuff with other people in my class, however I wanted to get a higher grade, so I started looking at your videos. The main reason I was in set 6, is because of my English set (I was in a lower set for English as it isn't my first language). On the November exams, I was so annoyed as I was one mark away from an A. I scored 138 marks where I needed 139 marks for an A. Nevermind, i said to my teacher if I can re-sit it on June, and possibly get a higher grade. At that point, he moved me from set 6 to set 1 as there wasn't any point for me doing C/D grade topics. Set 1 people had already started GCSE Further Mathematics (AQA) and they were doing matrices. I was behind, so I looked through your videos and I learned matrices by myself in 4 days, however I learned also about the determinants and inverses which weren't asked in the Further Maths L2 qualification. :D This summer, when I opened my GCSE results I achieved A* grade for Mathematics (Edexcel) and grade A for GCSE Further Mathematics. Now I'm doing both - Mathematics and Further Mathematics for A levels along with Physics and Geography. Each time when I don't get what my teacher is teaching me, I use Hegarty Maths and for revision also. Well, this is my story. :) Thank you for all work done in order to help us go through A levels, it's really appreciated. I enjoy maths myself and I think of doing it at university.
