You guys are awesome, love what you are doing, huge inspiration. I downloaded through github to install in blender and even drop the files direction it the blenders addon folder but no luck.I can't activated it. Any answers on that?
@@wguillaume98 its not an addon unfortunately. It's a full, modified version of blender itself. If you downloaded from github you'll have to compile it yourself. Instructions can be found on blenders website

@@rysea9855 if I had to guess, I'd guess that it means giving the means of making animation to more people, with "demos" meaning the common people and all that.
@@rysea9855 I'm guessing what happened with AI art frenzy that's ongoing. It allows people with no illustration skills to generate almost convincing art with AI using prompts, and also spammed art communities with AI art. Though in the case of this 3d anime animation software I guess it's not like that? There is still a large amount of manual work to do like modeling, animation, storyboarding, etc.
Either way it's not really "democratizing" anything, people have made self-made animation for years now.
Hyped for it and I’ll be waiting. Using this for all my anime based projects so I can’t wait.

Lighting groups are the most impressive thing to me, I've been doing anime in 3d for a while and it's a pain in the ass to have to composite out different lighting passes
I think it's worth it in the long run.. rather than people passing as "the computer just calculated &/or automated most of the stuff for you" for years and years to come.

@@hangry3102 not sure myself yet, try to find something on "building blender"
@@hangry3102 So instead of a pre-made install you have to 'build' Blender yourself from just the source code. It sounds scary at first but if you go on the Blender Wiki under 'Building Blender' you can select your OS and it will walk you though the basic steps. Just take your time with it and you'll be up and running in no time.

I wonder if maybe the smooth camera movement gives it away as 3D. It tends to look more convincingly 2D if the camera is fixed.

Holy moly, I'm already super interested.
The shading looks amazing. But the only problem I still see is the animation. It's still perceived as a 3D Game. The Sakuga scenes convey a reality far removed from this result. And it's because you're using a 3D Timeline, plus facial expressions still look static and lifeless. Have you tried using Pose Library? It would be a good option to solve facial problems a bit and thus define different expressions and poses in the libraries. Cheers

this is a tool to help creators, they're including many things that don't come with blender, the assets and animations are up to you, The footage shown is for reference and it looks amazing

Can no one admit an opinion? I haven't offended anyone and I don't think it's a way for anyone to take it the wrong way. The result of course is good, but there are points where one can contribute. Let's see if we learn to read first before responding so reactively.
I agree this feels more like an addon than calling it a separate engine seems off. Really shaders and light ok, anything more than that like normal editing tools, rigging tools like an automated expression for characters faces, hair simulation, clothing addons presets, eye presets or scene examples. Animation tools like better step animation, scenes examples of THAT. You're pointing out the elephant in the room and yes calling this an engine is overkill, better use bforartist that has a separate manual.
Call this a hot take but I'm really tired of people doing 1% of the work and already asking for support from others.

I love the look and feel of gooengine but idk if it’s own software download or a something that goes into blender.
