Every time I've been in this situation with other pilots, there's ALWAYS a net/rope/hook quad trying to drag the other out, and it ALWAYS ends up getting stuck as well 🤣🤣
So it may not work in this scenario, but there is a tool called a glow rod that is made with varying rigidity that is made for running or fishing cables through walls and ceilings. Klein makes some that are in 5' lengths and they can screw together with a hook that screws into the end. It may be worth looking into those as an additional retrieval tool in your arsenal.
With today's cameras you don't even need to GoPro unless you're some kind of professional. Footage will look awesome just from the 03 air unit or whatever
Ive always used a basketball hoop net with a weight at the bottom so it doesnt fly up and get caught in the props. EDIT also ive found kiss and fettec are better than say betaflight at handling flying with another kwad dangling from it.
Take a quad, put a second camera facing straight down, on a switch, with a stiff 1/8 in steel rod (about 3 feet long) with a hook on the end, bolted to bottom. Hover over the top of the stuck quad, flip switch so looking out bottom facing camera, and get hook around stuck quad, fly away with it.
Buy a bubito. This is coming from someone not paid or even asked. Mine just finally took a shit after almost a year straight of ripping the shit out of it. New aio and we'll be back in the air. Ripped a wire off of a motor, and found that it has pads you can just solder a new wire to if that happens. Not sure if that is standard since I've never had to do it before, but that was a good idea. I have a few motors that would work fine if I could solder a wire to it. Maybe I'll figure that out one day. If you like micros buy a bubito. It flies like a little ass 5".
@@ianwalton284 I've done that too in a pinch but if that nut hangs up and you pull it out it's like a bullet coming at your face.. that's why I prefer the arborist throw ball

from personal experience: one quad will get you no where... cause you need the spare parts quickly :D. If i had to start over, i'd try to get a tinywhoop in analog like moblite7 or similar. Almost indestructable (if you dont turtlemode), you'll get the most flying value per money out of it possible in the hobby.
Don't lie, you came here to see Vanny with his shirt off :P
😅🤣😆😂
Shirt off goblin mode engaged in the thumbnail
Tbh, I clicked because I briefly thought that was Magnus Midtbo. He quite possibly would be the best qwad retrieval tool.
I came here because I wanted to know he left the title on a cliffhanger…
literally

Talk about spatial awareness! The intro flight wazz SIC!!
alex, this is probably the best advertisement i've seen for your frame haha. People can't ask for a better example of how it does in a major crash.🤙🤙🤙
4:20 could that have gone ANY better? for a snag and land? wow 😊
Honestly the dji fpv is one of the best retrieval tools
I thought those were guaranteed to break in a little crash?

Your odds at recovering your lost drone go up greatly when your buddies are around!!
😂i love the bubby flow dance
Nice. What is that extension pole? Microphone holder?
I’d love to see a video where you compare budget action cams! I’m just getting started and can’t imagine losing a $400 GoPro in a slam.

I dont want to sound mean, but you gave me the best belly laugh when you got stuck again at 3:00 🤣🤣🤣
Dude that opening trick from Vanny was insane! He deff is one of the best in the world!
Where do you get the pole?
did you find it ?
It's the Re -Tree -val quad. Get it guys get it
I'll see myself out

I bet airmode would make it freak out. Have you tried it without airmode?
what is the pole that is used here? I need this.
did you find it ?
Flow Dance 🔥
Getting trolled under the bridge🤣🤣🤣
I dig the net.. seems like it could be lighter... like that was a lot of net...
but whatever works.. Sick rippage per usual
Vanny -- the beginning was SURGICAL precision, that was impressive. Edit - ok, so you're human too 😂😂
Pasadena suicide bridge?

This one was super fun to film with you guys!! I love my stick
I haven't looked in the RR store for one yet, but I want one.
8:50 NVM .. I just got my answer.
That stick we used for the episode is my pole I bought on Amazon for about $50, cargo nest is like $15, boat hook $12@@MadDragon75
@@CaptainKazi Sweet deal. Thanks!
I am coming up with a drone rescue system. All you need is a dji fpv and the mantis claw simplified
bubby's flow dance was 🔥
amazing you’re the Kwad rescue patrol, you could also try a neodymium magnet to catch a motor, but might hurt the sd card
What is that pole? Link please. Amazing retrieval! Glad you got it back! :)

Ok. This was one of the funniest and entertaining episodes! Loved it.
Vanny! When can I get this Pro frame??? All out of stock!!!
whats a good dimension for the net?
That was fun to watch!
I can watch such vids everyday! :)
Great video as always, but...can we talk about that swollen tattu at 0:05 ? :D
I can’t imagine being able to fly like this. It’s “BUTYRACEOUS”
Sickest spot ive seen you guys hit yet
I have a tree business with a bucket truck and lots of climbing gear but it's just usually a simple throw ball is all I need
I use a big heavy steel nut on para cord. Seem to fly pretty far.

Where is this spot?
sweet freestyle
Jackie Chan could get those quads easy peasy. Lol
I gotta go try some bridges
May I please see the opening footage with No Gyro Flow Smoothing.
A Net? ! A Coat Hanger or Cyclone fence Wire is all you need.
I crashed on that same ledge it definitely wasn’t fun getting it down
LOL
when 1 becomes TWO hahaa
thats gold
spice girls inverted haha
Epic 🤘🏻
First 🫡 where did you get the telescopic pole ? That’s the important part 😅
Google the Drone saver.
I have the Drove saver

but why do carrots ttaste like soap?

3:24 well now you have a reTREEval quad right? XD
If the first one got stuck then I would have let that area.
nice BGM !let me remrmber robogenesis

That lipo is NOT swollen. No it isn’t 😂
Check out the Roll Up Stick Clip Kit by Metolius.
In the surfing world we would say "He's got the spot wired." EDIT : it appears my comment was a little premature.
😂🤙
Suicide Bridge is what we call it 😂
I Need this
I also learned, that it is not a good idea, to rescue another drone, in a hard mission... with a Go Pro on top of it ... 🤔🤔🤔
you guys really need a mavic😂
that’s what she said
🔥🔥🔥
I carry a mavic for just this purpose. You probably wouldnt have gotten the first failure if you had a mavic.
This is what happens when you bake and fly.

Can i have a quad lol im to poor to buy 1 but i have a sim on my computer and its really fun

Vanny, are you by any chance Vladimir Putin's son? So similar to him in his youth.
