The old biovore looked like a mutant gorilla with a massive sac dragging itself along on it's knuckles. This sculpt is so much better in every way, and Morrigan looks great on it.
I'm always so happy when someone finds their own scheme and love it and paint their whole armies that way. I tried out my own scheme for the Nids (after watching your scheme ideas video a couple times) and it turned out worse than I imagined. Last months WD had something similar to mine, but with a lighter carapace, so I might try it out. But I think I'll put the bugs on a shelf for a little while, then print out some testers, try out a couple schemes and then commit to the one I like most. Maybe try to mix a few schemes into my own? Like I really like how the skin tone on your Morrigan fleet looks, but I'm not that sure if I want the carapace of my tyranids to be blue. Maybe I'll try out something along the lines of shamrock green of forest sprite speedpaint and then some moot green or other light green as a highlight and ogryn camo or straken green as a final drybrush? I also wonder what colour could be as good between the plates for green as that brown is for the blue
You're a bad influence haha fell in love with how you painted this model so bought one along (building it as a pyrovore) along with a norm assimilator and deathleaper, cant wait to get started
I definitely need to add one of these to my Nid army, however I'm mainly trying to get my hands on a Haruspex. But for the life of me I can't come across one. Also I use this scheme on all my Nids as well, only I add highlights of baheroth blue to the edges and raised areas. It really makes them pop, especially with the doombull. I actually paint all my models in schemes that you made and just add to them afterwards to see just how far I can push them. :) (P.S. have you done Bonereapers or Nighthaunts yet?)
Im not a tyranid fan but love the painting tutorials regardless of whats being painted......thanks fpr the videos another amazing job. Any chance youll be doing any of those new jet pack spave marines? Id like ti see that and get your opinion on them.......thanks
@@MediocreHobbiessorry for another question but is there any paints you would use to create more flesh for tyranids that are different neutral tones? Like black, white, gray, etc.
I've done a few videos on lots of different schemes for them, if none of them suit, try find some colours that you like and sub them in for the different steps :)
It's too small - should have been the size of a original plastic Carnifex at least with limbs that anchor into the ground and large spore sacks dangling underneath .....

Hahahah it really did. It was awful.
Excellent job! I was curious house the “gun” needed painted with my scheme. Super helpful video
Thanks so much for letting me know that!

My skin with green armour would be so so good.

Great mini Andy, like this one so much more than the old versions.
100%
you are a painting machine bro!!!
Haha cheers dude
Yo looks sick!
Thanks man!
oh just do the genestealers lol
Hahaha fine..
Awesome job Andy! Genestealers would be cool
Good to know pal.
I really can't wait to try doing this skin. Would this look good with a purple carapace like leviathan or a red carapace like kraken?
Yes it would look great with most schemes.
Nice!
Cheers!
Easy, clean and great result! When will there be new Middle Earth vídeos? Thanks!!
There on hold for a little bit while I follow my old world addiction
Great vid, would love to see Genestealers!
Good to know pal.
I’d love to see the genestealers. Maybe one of the ymgarl variants and a regular one? Just for a bit of fun.
Sounds good. I think I shall have to do them now.
Ah a very angry gun crab 🦀
Hahaha exactly that

That’s so kind pal thank you. And ye sun deed I have a huge fully painted army of each. Unfortunately I did then before the days of UA-cam.

I do need to do the new assault marines for sure.
Hey I was wondering what kind of paint brush you are using for the layering for the feathered look of the chitin
@@dragonmasterdavi5556 99%of the time it’s a gw layer brush. I love them.
@@MediocreHobbies gotcha thank you

could you make a video on how you would transfer this into geanstealer cults
There’s one on my Patreon now!

Disagree. It’s to be taken in a squad of up to three and it’s not that powerful hence the smaller size. I think they hit the nail on the head with it.
Only citadel paints 😑
Save your money, there are many good cheaper alternatives (Army painter, AK, Valleyo, GSW ....)
I use citadel paints on GW model tutorials rather than expecting people to have a ton of paints from different ranges to follow along!
