They rarely say "Use" within 3 months. It'll be "Best" within 3 months and they're very different things. Basically, "Best" means they'll last for years, but they think they taste best within 3 months. It's a legal thing where they have to put that on bottles...espesh in the UK. "USE BY" typically refers to fresh produce; Meat, Veg, Dairy etc where stuff can actually hurt you if you consume it cos it can go off. But "Best"...and espesh Syrups/Purees have nothing in them that can harm you...except if you're a diabetic 😉 For ref, I've got purees and syrups 3-4 years past their Best Before End Dates...and you literally can't tell the difference between them and a new bottle. BUT LEGAL DISCLAIMER... ALWAYS refer to the instructions on a Bottle! 😉😂
I agree. I personally started using about 10ml of Pure Maple Syrup instead of Simple Syrup and my Old Fashioned with Flor De Cana 7 and 12 is so delicious 😁
I agree with most of this but want to add vanilla syrup can be used for rumstar martinis. Also there’s not many syrups that would never go to waste, providing you like milkshakes
If you blend grenadine and hibiscus together it’s amazing in Tiki cocktails!
Nice vid! Personally my to go to Strawberry cocktail is a Kentucky Buck
Guess before seeing: simple/demerara, grenadine, orgeat, cinnamon
I would say cinnamon syrup needs to go up a tier. Use it way more than either coconut or passionfruit
Winter spiced syrup 🤤
Monin syrups say to use in 3 months after opening. Are they like the purée’s where they will last much longer?

Another strawberry syrup rum cocktail to consider is the Reggae Rum Punch
No agave or maple syrup Steve?! 😮 And can't believe you omitted bacon syrup! 😂

Great syrups to have. Deffo. You know I have them. But when it comes to following tiki recipes, you don't need either, so therefore not essential.
Great information Steve. This part is fun.
Did I miss Falernum?
Nope. It’s in the Liqueurs video, as it’s Alcoholic. 👍
ah! That makes sense. @@StevetheBarmanUK
