maan, I was looking for a video with the final step of putting everything back and you're just an other one without the final stage ;( and also with the testing
Thanks so much, mate. You saved me! I am not a techy person and have never done something like this before so I was almost certain I would have to buy a new laptop or at least pay a couple of 100 quid to get the screen replaced by a professional. Luckily I found your video and gave it a shot 🎉 this saved me so much money, only had to pay 30 pounds for the replacement screen and now it's good as new
I just wanna say you're the mvp for those links. My ps5 and laptop screen broke in the same week and you swooped in with this video and became my hero.

The screen is replaced, but the images on the screen are very faint. It seems as though, there is a light source that is not working. Is the new screen defective? Do I need to check something on the motherboard?
Do you know if the 20VE model is the same for the process of getting under the screen? I need to open it up to get at the microphone inside to fix an issue there.

I have the very same model laptop that got on contact with water, it is still functioning, however the screen is like - 50 dim. The water did not reach the screen. Please help
I follow the process and connect the new LCD, but I don't have a signal. Nothing on the screen is total black, I connected an lcd monitor via hdmi, and I do have a signal but not on the laptop. Any tip? Please
Is there more than 1 screen replacement that will be compatible with the IdeaPad 3? I'm seeing and reading alot of different types???
Just make sure you don't get a screen from LCDBROS - they'll send you lower resolution screens hoping you wont notice!!
Good resource. My Lenovo Ideapad 3 ('hanging tough' even with just two-thirds of a screen for over a year!) is definitely worth the effort--thanks!

More likely Not the cable. Unless you felt the cable was damaged or cut.

The screen is replaced, but the images on the screen are very faint. It seems as though, there is a light source that is not working. Is the new screen defective? Do I need to check something on the motherboard?
Is there an answer to this question? I'm having the same problem.
Is the tape required or no?
@UberGeeks do you have to disconnect the battery or anything before you do this ?
Good practice if is to disconnect the battery before doing anything. But I did not disconnect. It is fine for me without doing it.
