Thanks Deborah! I actually said that to my husband about my machine paying off!! I didn't realise the pattern was still out there for the coasters, I may find it as my photocopy is quite smudged. Both dresses are fantastic! Well done. I hate altering stuff that’s finished, but you did a great job saving your daughters dress and turning the old dress into a top 😊 It’s always so satisfying once it’s done, why do I put it off?! 😂

Hi Dori! Hope you are having a great weekend and how exciting to have an Open house but I bet it is a lot of work. It is only in recent years we have started to learn about them, your house selling process is so different to ours! All my crochet bits are prepped and ready for flight so in a couple of weeks I will let you know how I got on! Hope it isn't a bumpy flight 😂. Yes! A lot of work and prep. I had planned on doing some yard work today, but it is now raining, so was only able to get a little done. I'm planning on moving within the next 2 months, assuming my house sells quickly. Then, I'll be one of the FL babes! 🤣 Can't wait to hear all about the get-together in Orlando. The Kitsch coasters reminded me of an afghan that was on the couch growing up. It was wool squares from my grandfather’s old suits that were crocheted together.

Carole-your daughter looks adorable in that dress. After all, it all comes down to how one feels in a garment. I know how you must have felt, putting in time and effort making those sleeves and then cutting them off. I just made a dress that involved button loops, piping, tracing off the PDF pattern to begin with and then the finished dress is just not my style. (and I am so proud of it to boot!) Sigh. Your dress of dreams is lovely and I need to make that free Tee Shirt. It is truly perfect fitting on you. Have an awesome holiday and Happy Easter!🥰

It brought a lot of investment to the area which is great and it has still retained it's quaint seaside charm, plus we can walk to it from our site. Our double reed section is well-populated this season haha. 4 and sometimes 5 oboes on any week, and I think 3 bassoons! I'm sure your solos were fine, I can't play those with my mother sitting in the front row 😲 (she sits farther back now, and insists that she's still very proud of me.) There's a piece in our next concert that I've got several solo bits to play... Have a great weekend!

And your embroidery, I have a older brother embroidery machine that is my main sewing machine, when you want to do any design It doesn’t have a usb, but a memory card machine, it’s a bit of a faff, I’ve lost my SewJo a bit, haven’t made anything for quite a while, only taken up my husband’s trousers, I’ve been crocheting daisy squares to make a blanket, I’ve done about 130, not sure how many I’m going to do yet but I’m just going to keep going 😊

Magic dress is pure magic. What a lot of sewing! The Malta is your tee! The machine embroidery takes a good bit of time. I used to smock on plane flights. Amazing how much I could get done while waiting in airports and flying.
What I keep forgetting to say about that dress is that it seems to do well on all body shapes, my daughter is very different to me, quite curvy and it looks fab on her! Smocking on plane flights, wow that is incredible, I stick to easy projects! 😊🧵

I will be quite relieved not to be sewing the next couple of weeks! Normally my daughter looks after Mickey but because we are all away he will go into Kennels. Not the ideal solution as he is older but he has been going there since a puppy and they know him really well plus he will have the company of my daughters dog! 🥰.Have a great weekend 😊🧵
Wow! Another bumper crop of sewing! I love those dresses, especially that magic dress. I would love to have that pattern, but sadly I am on a buying ban from my husband. Oh well, when it’s lifted, I will get it then, hopefully. That Malvasia T-shirt is very popular, I’ve seen that several people have made it. That one I can get , it’s free! I love the look of it, but I’m like you, those cap sleeves are entirely too short. Beautiful pictures at the end, as always. Enjoy your visit to Florida, it should be quite warm now.😅

Love your sewing makes! fyi: a “body bag” is the bag used for containing a corpse, and the term is used world wide, sadly they appear in massive numbers in war zone news clips. Here in the US the small bags that are designed for hanging on the waist are called “fanny packs”, but your phrase “bum bags” is pretty much the same and cute, both phrases are much less offensive than referring to them as “body bags” 😅
The minute I said Body Bag I knew I shouldn't have done! I hope I didn't offend anyone 🫥. When I made those bags for my daughter she informed me that they are no longer worn around the waist they go across the body, hence I said that name 😆. Fashion had moved on and I had no idea! It is hard for me as a British lady to say Fanny Pack I am afraid as it has a very different meaning over here! Let us hope they invent a new name for them soon. No disrespect intended from me but your original comment made me smile, you showed that you are just one of us women finding the words that don’t want to be found. Maybe we could offer suggestions on a new name such as Travel Pouch or Adventure Bag, then you can choose your favorite or have a random pick, winner can bask in the attention. Personally it would be a fun thing to add to your already fun videos.
