06 e90 330i Metallic ticking noise from engine 55k miles.

Does it keep doing it once it is warmed up? I have the same exact car, I hear this every now and then on start up then it goes away once fully warm.

Hey man,
This is normally for this model, one time the car is fully warm goes away. BUT BMW has a recall for this, if you still under warranty you can get it fix. The fix is to change the head, that's what they did on mine has it was under warranty. Some time it comes back normally in the morning in cold start. But hey new head is a new head and for free.
