Pro tips: Normal duration 1. Food(berries) is important and sell is last priority till u have food production ready 2. Focus sawmill and stone production. Then go iron mine. Focus on selling wood, stone for a gold at a time, scarce is time or cost is a day. Once having 3rd-4th villager and so on, go on selling sticks for 2 gold. Then later on with all the babies the best gold production is combine apple and berries is fountain of unlimited gold. 3. Shed and then focus on warehouse. Once you have iron ore go warehouse. At least we need a villager spend his whole day on this. Shed comes first then sawmill or stone production Thanks to you francis i happen to play this game from your very first episode. Best money spent and killing my time enjoying the game 😅😅. Have fun!
You forgot about using the "E" key to snap the cards to the grid! Also, there is a mod that toggles snapping when you press "E", so you can leave it on most of the time.
Beginning of game: "I'll just sell off these berries." Me: That's a terrible idea, you're going to make the game mad. Second moon: "Lady Luck is not with us." Oh Francis
i watched the first 20 minutes of this game ive never heard of and now ive been playing it for almost 3 hours. this game is so addictive it should be illegal :3
apples are coool in the very early game, but once you can build gardens/farms carrots are better. they dont requre any labor at all, they have the same food value and once you have a lumber camp you dont need the sticks and wood. OTOH if you have berries and apples you can make fruitsalad which once you have markets, they sell for 10 coins
You can turn wood into 2 coins without labor force if you build a campfire for a stick+flint. Then just focus on producing wood and dump it on the campfire for charcoal. Fast and easy. In the meantime I like rushing an axe to have a lumberjack
Hey Francis. Just a tip for you as far as the food front goes. Chickens lay eggs. Eggs on a campfire make Omelettes, which are real solid food. You can use 2 pens full of chickens to have a stove (upgraded campfire) producing essentially nonstop. Cheers mate!
dogs can chop wood in lumbercamp and mine stone and iron 😄, however they are slow but certainly a good way to cut down labour when you don't need that much wood and stone at late game
Chickens next to a stove to turn eggs into omelettes. Magnet for the omelettes next to a crane to lift over to a hot pot. It's a reasonably efficient food automation
I really enjoy watching you play this game. makes my day watching you play most games, but espescially so with stacklands and rimworld and other fun silly games full of nonsense and Randy's whims lmao
you could have made gardens instead of continually producing soil, and the hotpot to reduce card count for food. glad to see you back in this one, I cant wait to see you try the campaign with the curses on.
You can actually put your villagers into the strange portal when it shows up to travel to the forest (also makes the portal not turn into monsters) instead of needing to farm up dust to make one. Gets you dust quicker and easier.
Tip: you can add a key binding for selling cards so that you can just press a key instead of dragging the cards around the board to sell. (I bind it to Z)
There's another game on the horizon called "WitchHand" that's very much like this one, but it leans more into alchemy and fantasy. The demo is available and the game should be coming out some time in 2024.
For your Rimworld run, I'd love to see you do a modded run. There's one that make a world take over more challenging and realistic. There's also ones where you have to fend off wave after wave of attacks, similar to what you did yourself last time in vanilla Rimworld, except these ones actually get more challenging over time. Would love to see you run the gauntlet with your team.
You know, there is a space version of Stacklands (by a different dev) - "Stacks:Space!". Might be amusing to see how it compares and if it works better for you due to the space theme ;).
59:31 you can actualy put ninjas onto that rare portal and get teleported into the forest, im not sure if thats the case but via rare portal ithink the forest enemies are bit harder wand give more loot
Quick tip just so you don't waste too much time Francis - you don't send people to the DLC worlds. So your ninjas being gods won't actually help with those
Poor Francis. You are about to restart the game with 0 ninjas. Swings and roundabouts, swings and/or roundabouts. Doing all that by moon 25 was pretty sweeping though.
...Francis, apple + berry = fruit salad. That's 5 gold worth of food, and it's 3 food value in a single card, rather than two (or one and a half, if just comparing to apples only). You should make berries and apples in equal measure, until you get to carrots at least (since they are edible without needing to harvest from the bush/tree, like apples/berries).
@@bedrokiv.9584 Even if he wants to transition to pure apple build until later, he should combine what berries he does have with what apples he has to make fruit salads for denser nutrition that is also better value, at least.
There's no point in farming the demon, you can't take anything into the curse worlds (there's 3 of them), no items, no people, nothing. You can bring stuff back from the curse worlds, however.
The only way to get rid of a rabbit is to kill them. They can drop Raw Meat (17%), Carrot (17%), Poop (17%), Bone (17%), Rabbit Hat (33%). The raw meat can not be eaten without cooking it first, so there was only a 17% chance to get usable food from it.
If someone tells you rabbits aren't the greatest enemy in Stacklands, they haven't played Stacklands.
With Curse of Sadness they are the worst 😅 those little fluffy nightmares

Came here to say this, also, the backspace key sells the item(s) under your cursor 🙏
Love the video, keen to see more! ❤
Beginning of game: "I'll just sell off these berries."
Me: That's a terrible idea, you're going to make the game mad.
Second moon: "Lady Luck is not with us."
Oh Francis
"I think I'd like a second corpse."
... never change Francis.
i watched the first 20 minutes of this game ive never heard of and now ive been playing it for almost 3 hours. this game is so addictive it should be illegal :3
*points towards baby* "you are going to end up in the lumber camps soon"
the children yearn for the mines

3 sticks + builder == Animal Cage; Keeps the rabbits and other animals from moving. and make a damn HOTPOT for all those apples! 50 food in 1 card.
I could watch hours and hours of you playing this. I'm not sure why but I find it so relaxing.
Francis words of wisdom out of context: A map is like an axe for graveyards. Love your sense of humour!
AHHHHHHH YOU CALLED THEM DUPES!!!!!! ONI FOREVER!!!!
Also in the beginning "a moon has 120 cyc...... a seconds"
A board with a nail in it always speeds up my love making
It's all about how you use it in bed.

Looks like a fun game, but I'm afraid to play it - I don't want to get sucked into an all day play session.
literally happened to me today
Chickens next to a stove to turn eggs into omelettes. Magnet for the omelettes next to a crane to lift over to a hot pot. It's a reasonably efficient food automation
Never seen this before - most abstract form of resource management mechanics I've ever seen in a game. intriguing.
We need to mod this game so the villagers look like duplicants.
True thats necessity number one i also did some play of this first timer on stacklands
I really enjoy watching you play this game. makes my day watching you play most games, but espescially so with stacklands and rimworld and other fun silly games full of nonsense and Randy's whims lmao

nice little helpful shortcut: shift +click will grab the entire stack no matter where you grab it from.
"actually I'd like a second corpse"
new villager: 👀
You can use the bone to tame a wolf into a dog! (Recipe: 1 wolf, 1 bone)
Void story teller beckons you away from Randy.
I came to learn stack lands but stayed for the kettle drum.
You can actually put your villagers into the strange portal when it shows up to travel to the forest (also makes the portal not turn into monsters) instead of needing to farm up dust to make one. Gets you dust quicker and easier.
wishlisted. actually pretty sweet looking. i can definitively see some time being sunk into it
Tip: you can add a key binding for selling cards so that you can just press a key instead of dragging the cards around the board to sell. (I bind it to Z)
I really enjoy watching you play this game!
Later you can also start a new run with both Curses enabled, which can be very entertaining (with 200s per cycle it should be pretty chill)
Wow!
Thanks for the long vid, sir!
May your choco/whiskey dreams come true.
Love this game. Hint for ya -- there's a second, no iron recipe for animal pen with the DLC.
Lol at the annoyance at the babies being fed first
I Love it "it's an ax for graveyards"

Made it in three minutes. Good timing. Thanks Mr John!

He idk but im almost insta buying this if its similar
Yeah just bought it thanks for the info ill probly record it eventually for yt too
I thought this game looked a bit boring but now I've actually watched you platy it it looks gooood.
59:31 you can actualy put ninjas onto that rare portal and get teleported into the forest,
im not sure if thats the case but via rare portal ithink the forest enemies are bit harder wand give more loot
You also say "depreciate" when you mean "deprecate". My brain does that as well.
What did we learn? Soil is just an infinite poop.
Quick tip just so you don't waste too much time Francis - you don't send people to the DLC worlds. So your ninjas being gods won't actually help with those
I was literally playing this dlc minutes ago. XD
Played with short moon cycles and it was extremely tough.
Poor Francis. You are about to restart the game with 0 ninjas. Swings and roundabouts, swings and/or roundabouts.
Doing all that by moon 25 was pretty sweeping though.
Probly could have saved that first villager if you would have saved up for a reap and sow. It almost always gives an apple or carrot

I think, by what he said just apples are his play stile now.

Great video 🔝👍
I wish you turned off the screen shake. 😵💫
You could just get the soil from the Graveyard 💀
How long will it take before he notices what happens if you mix milk and berries or apples?
I'll be curious to see the numbers on this Stacklands run. 🤔
Cursed worlds are new maps, so you could just have used the existing sace without getting a huge advantage^^
Been waiting refreshing YT for this
Really beat the sh*t out of that rabbit huh 38:40
um... I have gotten mutiple deamon swords from the deamon why do you think you can only get 1?
You don't have to replant or harvest gardens and farms either.
There's no point in farming the demon, you can't take anything into the curse worlds (there's 3 of them), no items, no people, nothing. You can bring stuff back from the curse worlds, however.
You forgot to save a bone for the wolf!
Rum and coke for this video. Find a source of the orange chocolate?
Have not found a source of Orange chocolate yet, been busy but it's on the list and I'll get around to it.
Also a the start you could have killed the rabbit for food. Doesn’t it drop meat?
The only way to get rid of a rabbit is to kill them. They can drop Raw Meat (17%), Carrot (17%), Poop (17%), Bone (17%), Rabbit Hat (33%). The raw meat can not be eaten without cooking it first, so there was only a 17% chance to get usable food from it.
Also on my first playthrough i faced the demon wayyyy too soon and stomped him cause i had healers ez
berry + apple is fruit salad which is 5/3
i do read the names
Hey love what you do
"hey. Love what you do" "hey love what you do" It's the small things that can make a big difference. ( not trying to be the grammar police )
:D
Fine
uh-ohh war crimeios
nearly wet myself on the "more hippity hoppety on my property"
